Next month an elderly English lady who goes by the name of “Queen Elizabeth the second” will stand in a spot in Dublin that I know very well.

With a quiet moment of reflection she will pay her respects.

The teachable moment.

This time last week Paul McBride QC would have known that someone meant him significant harm. That is not a nice place to be. He is in my thoughts. His statement about not being bullied or silenced by this act of terrorism has been courageous and inspirational.

Alistair Johnston fights to save Rangers.

An excellent source today informed me that the power brokers at the club now view  chairman Alistair Johnston as being dangerously off message.

The North American based businessman is doing all he can to block the purchase of the club by Craig Whyte.
