Business as usual at Purgatory FC

It shouldn’t surprise the citizens of Planet Fitba that the Sevco High Command held a crisis meeting today.

My information is that unsackable Philippe has no intention of Doing Walking Away.

I was told today that the search for a new CEO isn’t going entirely to plan.

Today, a very well-placed source informed me that FOUR potential candidates had been approached.

Apparently, all of them refused the exciting offer.

Moreover, I understand that THREE of them stated that, in their view, taking up the appointment would be detrimental to their long-term prospects.

My information is that the trio in question cited the club’s messaging apropos Stewart Robertson and James Bisgrove AFTER the dignified duo had left the employ of Sevco.

I’m told that one of the quartet is a female who was the Chief Financial Officer of a major company in Scotland.

Last night at Pittodrie underscored the malaise currently affecting the basket of assets on and off the field.

It is joyous to observe the extent to which Sevco fan media is slowly accepting their place in the natural order of things.

The unpalatable truth for the poor dears is that the best they can aspire to is to be Simply The Second Best.

Purgatory is their eternal damnation.

Now, for those socialised into a worldview defined by ethno-religious supremacism, to be constantly looking up at the club formed by Irish immigrants is quite something.

As the featured image suggests, apathy and indifference have already started to seep into their quintessentially British bones more than anything else.

  1. I remember Ibrox in the 80s, when they were lucky to have 5,000 watching from the stands, that level of support may be about to return.

  2. I wish I could win the lottery (obviously) I`d gift a major investment into Partick Thistle,
    Espanolification would be complete!

  3. Just love the way they are falling apart….. I always think back to when they bought Tore Andre Flo for ….. I think £12M …. In 2000….. I remember saying to myself…. How the f*ck can they do this ???? Then there was the “for every £5 Celtic spend, we’ll spend £10”!!!!! Today, what they’ve went through and are going through….. I just Look at it with a big smile…. And can’t wait for this *rangers club to go to the wall as well.

  4. The stats tell the story. Celtic have won 18 of the last 25 titles. That is a 72% success rate which is identical to the record of Bayern Munich in Germany. The 21st century has been Celtic’s.

  5. There is still a miniscule part of my being that thinks I should be a better person and not take quite so much pleasure from other people’s misery.

Then I remember how they deserve every single karma bus they get hit with. And then some.

  6. I have a strong suspicion Phil ,that season ticket sales next Summer in Govanlandia won’t be a sure thing as far as a sell out is concerned . That would be akin to getting those inconvenient toenails pulled out with pliers for theRangers board ….if there is one of course ,by then ….it’s big Al the brute !

  7. Nosferatu Clements, akin to the supporters of sevco, doesn’t do walking away, not exactly evident last night. I thought Boyd, an unreconstructed bigot, was about to have a coronary on television last night at the thought of an other visionary taking over the reins at Ibrox. Sevconians must now go cold turkey and refrain from daily intravenous doses of Deludamol, they have won only three trophies, everybody outwith Govan knows it, especially the late Turnbull Hutton who was threatened within an inch of his life for iterating the truth. The Fourth Estate in Scotland is risible and serves only to assuage those that sit in the stadium Ally Dawson “played” in. Keep up the good work Phil.

  8. Thoroughly enjoying the carcrash that is the latest version of the rangers. Karma dishing out a large serving to all the disillusioned zombies. The best part is that it is going to get a whole lot worse for them before it gets any better.

      • I completely agree that the present Ibrox residents won’t be liquidated, but I think administration is inevitable.

In twelve years they’ve made losses totalling £126.74m. They’ve got a £10m loan plus interest. They’ve just agreed two more loans amounting to £13m. Their business model is unsustainable in the longer term. There’s no way that they can trade their way out of the situation that they’re in and they will eventually run out of people prepared to throw money into what is basically a bottomless pit.

  9. It’s surprising that Tavernier hasn’t been bought by at least a Championship club in England. All TavPen jokes aside, he is a good player, and certainly knows how to run at defenders and where the goal is. Was a bargain at £200k too

If/when he goes, they will struggle to replace him without major expense

    • The klan are desperate to get rid of him and blame him for most of what’s wrong on the pitch. The player’s head is down like a dead man walking and if he wasn’t on great money I’m sure he would have requested a transfer.

Captain Disappointed needs to find a new boat and get off the sinking ship. HH

  10. Le Manager may well feel he can ride it out with the blazers until he gets a brogue up his rear but facing the co investors in the stands is another thing. They are not quite the same when it comes to giving critical feedback. I hope he is comfortable with his decisions as I fear his football days are done. His behaviour makes him very untouchable for many income sources in the game, even Talk Sport wouldn’t touch him.
