Own goals and legal matters

I had intended that these next two weeks would be set aside to put a manuscript into some sort of order.

That remains my intention so this is probably the last from me for a while.

That includes the moderation of comments so please save your insights, ripostes and indignations.

I need to clear my head and re-enter an entirely fictional narrative that requires total immersion in the world of the characters.

However, it is impossible to ignore the insanity that is currently emanating from Ibrox these days.

I understand that the statement that Graham Spiers is alluding to here has been taken down.

I was sent a screengrab of it and the old court social worker in me recoiled when I read it.

If the author is who I think it is then I would have thought that he would have a better grasp of matters legal than that which is manifested in the club statement.

In the visual part of my mind immediately imagined that Sevco PR HQ was currently like that scene from Der Untergang.

Yes, THAT scene!

My ex-book editor from the days of my own Downfall was, as ever, both succinct and on the money.

Then today the fine fellow at Club 1872, peace be upon them, came up with another cracker.

One gets the feeling that this is a group of people with terminal confirmation bias.

Within their own collective consciousness, they are besieged and assailed.

When that is the situation then it rarely ends well.

Now, dear reader, I am off down the Word Mines.

Madam Editor and Mr Publisher will not be put off any longer.

I salve my conscience on that one because what I provide here for Planet Fitba I do for free.

Therefore, I can leave my post when the need arises.

Have a great week.

Or two…

  1. Their hypocrisy is astonishing. Everyone in the country knows exactly what that klub stands for. Jabba has pushed too far and surely he is now doing the Ibrox club a disservice as the rest of us laugh our ribs apart. HH

  2. Power to your pen Phil…go type up a storm…( Mixed instructions there…its an age thing .)
    As for the Manky Mob…
In the bygone days of yore…they would have got away with this pathetic nonsense.
However…Those days have gone…and not before time.
Call them out at every opportunity …they are a stain on our game.

  3. Quite worrying that an adult would write such content about a boy.

What in heaven’s name is going on in the mind of such a man? It’s rather creepy.

Yet another rock bottom PR failure out of Ibrox.

No other club in world football would pay for such output.

  4. The Rangers website brief on a pre pubescent 12yo boy was obscene on so many different levels but one observation was that the boy is only charged, the website statement had him found guilty and shamelessly offered him racism counselling. Twisted agenda driven merde from a worryingly deviated mind.
