Misunderstandings and a secret squirrel

As I had previously reported there was a scheduled sit down between the Director of Fantasy, Mr let’s Go and the Serious professional.

My information is that Sevco’s resident MBE brought a list of four players to the meeting.

I’m told that he came away from the conclave believing that the club could deliver all of them.

Two of them would be signed outright and the other two would be loaned to Sevco with an option to buy.

My information is that one of the signings was to be Ryan Kent.

Unfortunately, Liverpool wanted money.

The Anfield club wanted the £4m for what they had put into the kid plus another £3m.

If Sevco could come up with £7m then he was heading to Ibrox on a permanent basis.

The problem appears to be that Mr Let’s Go had apparently been assured by the impecunious chairman that there would be a summer budget of around £10m.

However, the Director of Fantasy was speaking to Liverpool about bringing the lad in for another loan deal.

However, Liverpool said that young Kent was for sale and not for another loan deal to the basket of assets.

Cue Mr Let’s Go being less than Zen like about his miscommunication.

As storm clouds gather over Sevco there is a need for a distraction.

Therefore, I’m afraid that there is now a full Stenography Warning I place until further notice.

The Ibrox klanbase needs some good news.

Consequently, Sevco’s intergalactic PR guru has been briefing the usual suspects.

The term “anonymous silent investor” seems to be at the core of this fable.

Apparently a “long term fan” is about to invest between £7m-£8m into the basket of assets.

The reason being given to the obedient hacks for this…err…“anonymous silent investor”  making his move now is that mystery bear believes that “the club is going in the right direction”.

Oh dear…

  1. I’m surprised that Stevie G hasn’t been encouraged to ‘invest’ some of the considerable fortune that he’a amassed throughout his stellar career.
No need to bother the board, put your money where your mouth is Stevie.
Of course anyone considering such an ‘investment’ would have to be well briefed on the merchandising situation with Big Mike on the verge of opening a can of worms despite King’s assurance in the annual accounts narrative that he’d seen Ashley off for a one of £3m payment.
Not exactly true as it turns out, quelle surprise.

  2. ” the club is going in the right direction ” – I concur .

It is going in the direction that most Celtic supporters wish to see it go – ”Administration II” or perhaps ”Liquidation : The Sequel ”.
Then we will have a jolly summer to look forward to watching Rod Petrie’s SFA and the SPFL tying themselves in knots attempting ”Resurrection II ”
Will we have another Armageddon statement ? Or a new 5 Way Agreement ? Will Sevco 2 be parachuted into the lower leagues again ? Will there be another ”Journey ” ?
    Can’t wait !!

    • Agree entirely with your first sentence. Then you start to get factually inaccurate. Sevco have NEVER been in administration. That was the dead club. NO business can be liquidated twice.

There is, however, much to look forward to in the coming months.

Seeing how sevco is up shit creek, it makes sense to have someone that specialises in effluent being involved!

  4. Maybe it’s the guy who just won
the Euro lottery some £170 odd
million. I’m sure he said he was a lifelong sevco supporter !!!

    • If he existed, he would pretty much have to be a lottery winner.
Normal rich people don’t get rich by being the sort of people who’d plunge money into commercial disasters.

  5. Only someone with cash to burn would be throwing that sort of money at the Ibrox club and add their name to those who have already chucked their cash down the Edmiston Drive black hole.
Just watching the result of the latest Brexit vote. Was that a marching band of the colour Orange leading the protesting pro Brexiteers?
What a feckin shambles our politicians have led us into.
As things stand we are now looking at a No Deal exit with consequent economic disaster.
Our politicians will be sheltered from the worst impact of the downturn that every economic forecast says will follow a No Deal exit.
The real impact will be felt by many of those who voted Yes just like the guy on the news who said that it was a terrible day for England……and presumably the English Empire!

  7. LOL… an anonymous silent investor.
From an anonymous silent agent, from an anonymous silent club, from another universe.
    Cue Peter Lawwell laughing uncontrollably…

Bet this guy’s wealth is totally off the radar anaw.

Surely not even the Sevconites are stupid enough to buy that fantasy again?
