On the day that Celtic was dealing in Reo Hatate, across the city in the Blue Room, the thoughts were on how they could deal Beale out!
At the time of writing, I believe that the Transcendental Chairman, with some Stateside assistance, has managed to raise pledges that cover 50-% of Mickey B’s bye-bye money.
It is the opinion of some in the Ibrox klanbase that the ex-QPR legned is tactically clueless.
I’m agnostic on that one.
However, I’m sure he is shrewd in business matters, as is his agent.
The extent to which he has a cast iron severance clause in his contract has the Dalai Lama in the Blue Room approaching peak tranquillity.
Moreover, I do not believe that the officially sanctioned narrative that Mickey B is entirely responsible for the disastrous summer recruitment is wholly accurate.
Now, it would be really awkward if he had the screengrabs to prove it!
I sincerely hope that the Blue Room spin machine doesn’t get personal with their guy in the dugout.
After all, it’s just business.
I wasn’t surprised that the Parkhead outfit was able to secure the services of their midfield powerhouse.
This is all about protecting assets from predatory offers, release clauses, etc.
Next up is Mathew Sean O’Riley.
The thing is, Celtic has the cash to do these deals.
As he prepares the year-end accounts, Sevco’s supremo in the boardroom knows that the financial situation will not likely improve.
Indeed, the resource gap between both clubs is now greater, in Celtic’s favour, than the one Fergus McCann faced when he was up against the original Rangers.
Each year, regardless of the person in charge in the Blue Room, the Ibrox outfit must overcome a £15m deficit.
For the avoidance of doubt, that is a very conservative estimate.
In the meantime, Mickey B soldiers on.
If the Sevco High Command wants rid of him, then they know what it will cost them.
The Daily Mailman…
If – Could – Would – Should –
Celtic are well ahead tonight – Sevco are in disarray…
If your auntie had balls, she’d be your uncle and all that !
True regards Celtic tonight and at Sevco as for my auntie and uncle I’ve never asked lol
Phil, you really must stop undermining poor Mr Beale.
I worry that he might do something drastic, like leave.
Whatever is said about Beale and the financial state of the club playing out of ibrox
At the moment they are in a position to win the first domestic trophy of the season and have 3 points in the bag in the Europa League
A win in Cyprus for them will put that to 6 points and a loss for Celtic against Lazio would put us in a precarious position and possibly no European football after Christmas .
It is ok Celtic having money in the bank and signing long term deals with players but if we don’t see European football after Christmas it will be pointless .
Ah bless…
Micky is Bealin’ that Brendan is Dealin’ and Bennet is Squeain’ and sick he is Feelin’ and that there’s no Healin’ has Sevco fans Keelin’ as Celtic the trophies keep Reelin’ & Reelin’ to go over the haul that The Rangers were Stealin’ !!!
Unfortunately and with a gleeful heart I believe Beale to be out his depth.
Looks like Celtic players are being invested in.
Brendan can treat this journey as a fan. Last time he had to prove himself and swept the board. On the Brendan, here come the bhoys!!!!
Beale has won the last 3 games, I against a very good team indeed. I am somewhat confused as to why they want rid of him to be honest. Rodgers, like him or not, is a top 5 league manager and as you have pointed out at length Celtic have superior financial resources. It is hysteria on their part pure and simple. Firing him at this stage of the season may cause a real spiral. Who would take that position at this stage of the season?
But, but .. Phil, the man’s a tactical genius. Without any help from VAR, the referee, or the opposition team, he outfinked the time-served man wiff a plan, Davie “tie an orange ribbon round the old oak tree” Martindale. Beale must stay!
please keep mickey
Stop taking the Mickey 😭😭
