The footie cliché about “fine margins” was never more apposite than last night at Ibrox in the 69th minute of the match.
These matches, more than any other in the fixture calendar, can be a chaotic confluence of hinge factors.
There is just so much at stake.
The massive error by Walter Benitez could end up gifting the Sevco High Command tens of millions in extra revenues this season.
Similarly, the home side was unable to hold onto the one-goal advantage until the final whistle.
Benitez owes his teammate Armando Obispo a large one for the headed equaliser.

Next week in Eindhoven, Sevco will be in touching distance of the riches of the Champions League Group Stages.
Celtic are already there and can use the guarantee of that revenue to build the squad going forward.
Of course, it could all have been very difficult at the start of this season for Sevco.
That is the cost of the Ramsey penalty miss in Seville last May.
Fine margins?
None finer.
In a related matter, UEFA Media just got back to me stating that there were no disciplinary issues mentioned in the Match Delegate’s report.

More fine margins, I suppose…

If el Buffalo Buffalo is not in the team he is up for sale this next 2 weeks
I thought Morelos had effectively been up for sale over the last 5 or 6 transfer windows anyway?
Game time or not, looks like he will be staying at Ibrox – and perhaps to cause unrest amongst the sevco squad? 🙂
He’s been up for sale for the past THREE YEARS!!! No one wants him.
In any other league, he simply would not get away with his petulant, sly kicks at opponents, and his injury feigning in a blatant attempt to get opposition players red carded.
He wouldn’t get away with it in our league if he was playing for anyone else.
A cup at ibrox ……… ideal for getting water from the toilet bowl
They say a fish rots from the head but wherever it originates from there is such an aggressive atmosphere at Ibrox and it seems to filter down to the players very quickly with the new boys grimacing madly and gesturing violently at the supporters on scoring a goal where it is usually returned, times 50 thousand.. Compare this when Celtic score it is like a bunch of friends congratulating each other with wide grins and hugs. Of course I guess it depends on how important the goal but Jota’s wiggle kind of sums up the celebrations. Not an important point but one nonetheless.
It may not be an important point, it is though, a very valid one.
The Missile Madness: it was a cup that was thrown. Nobody at Ibrox knew what a cup was!
