The Aaron and Mike show

Cometh the hour cometh the loan signing that probably didn’t really fancy it.

As the featured image shows, Sevco won Transfer HEADLINE Day with the temporary acquisition of the injury-prone midfielder from Juve.

These were the matches where Ramsey was meant to be the difference.

Well, in a sense, he did that tonight.

Though not in the way that the person at the been had perhaps expected.

Ah well.

Not to worry.

I’m certainly not.

Worried, that it…

I think it is fair to say that the expensive Welshman isn’t the toast of the Ibrox klanbase anymore.

The prize for the winning team in Seville tonight was not just UEFA’s second-tier trophy.

It was the riches of the Group stages of the Champions League next season.

As Champions of Scotland, Celtic are already there.

Now qualification rounds await the basket of assets at the start of next season.

For the avoidance of doubt, this uplifting anthem will DEFINITELY be played at one stadium in Glasgow in the new campaign after the summer.

Of course, Frankfurt, as winners in Seville will also experience that buzz.

This run to the Europa League final has been profitable for the Sevco High Command.

However, they know that the extra cash earned will be going somewhere else very shortly.

Just don’t expect the usual succulent suspects in the Stenography Corps to be digging on that one.

Now, if Sevco’s low-calorie cousins can show some moral fibre, then the ten-year-old club might still have a trophyless season.

  1. Hopefully hearts will hump them in the final then they’ve got a season of second place second best and second rate players

  2. I think when we saw Ramsey shape up to take that penalty we knew sevco had taken a blunderbuss to their own metatarsals. It’s a wee shame so it is. For a marquee signing this guy showed no inTENT whatsoever. Still, there will be another treatment table to move on to after he’s been handsomely paid for this gig. HH

  3. I am getting really fed up with all those ex-Rangers’ leeches, like McCoist ,Boyd, Thompson and many others, infesting the media with their half-baked opinions. It seems to me that the producers of the shows like to hang about with their former idols. The message doing the rounds is that the Seville failures are heroes which is purely an attempt to lift them for Saturday’s cup final against Hearts.

  5. Guten Morgen Phil, as the song goes, “What a difference a day makes” and what a fine sunny day it is here now the clouds have lifted. There is so much anyone could say about the recent supremacy fest that bombarded the Scottish press, but all I will say is as a child I was told “don’t count your chickens before they hatch”, it’s obvious now that my catholic schooling gave me an advantage in looking to the future with humility,

So the clouds of perpetual boasting have lifted, the open top bus is parked waiting for its rangers wrap to be removed and the reality of paying for the party about set in, quite literally in so many ways.

I noted the other day in The Sun of all places a small insignificant box to some mention Mike and the ranjurs, funnily enough this news titbit has not been mentioned in that bastion of all things bluenosed the Daily Record. It appears that their expert who has shown their adept skills in recent days of reporting bluenosed minutia must have been in a converted transit van somewhere between Govan and Seville or they just don’t want to talk about it..

For those who missed it, the story is about an out of court agreement with Big Mike where the parties involved have “agreed to resolve matters on a confidential basis” and that pursuit shall be “discontinued with immediate effect” I wonder what went down there?

So now the dust is settling and the reality of being second best is hitting home it now looks like a fire sale of epic proportion is about to take place. The advertising of the goods for sale has taken place and the low ball offers should be forth coming, let see how far they get next year minus their best poundland galacticos, if they are still trading..

  6. Yes, just before the EL Final was a good time to slip out the confirmation that the SDI case was resolved – confidentially, of course!
    Wonder what it cost RIFC?

And that penalty miss was indeed a sore one, an extremely costly one, and one which just might bring sevco back down to financial reality. [Joking of course. 🙂 ]
