As regular readers will know, the Serious Professional has been providing wise counsel to the occupants of the Blue Room for several years now.
Overall he has been a calming influence, although his advice had not always been heeded.
My take is that the current entity at Ibrox would be in much better financial shape if they had listened to him more often.
Overall, he’s a steady pair of hands who keeps calm when those around him are losing it.
Consequently, I don’t imagine that he is prone to bouts of anger.
Therefore, I was surprised to learn that he was alternatively Zen-like about some dignified cash that recently travelled from the klanbase to South Africa.
Since he left the Blue Room, Mr David Cunningham King has been something of a problem for the Sevco High Command.

As always, it is advisable to follow follow the money.
Dave wants his shares in RIFC purchased by the fans, and he is also adamant that the club pay him back his loan without any delay.
On the latter point, that’s £10m that the chaps in the Blue Room have to find rather quickly.
Adding to that the £12m (approx.) that Hector is owed, then I’m not surprised that the Serious Professional has been getting a bit tetchy of late.
Moreover, I’m told that there was a less than tranquil discussion a couple of weeks ago between the Sevco High Command and the club’s insurers.
Something about the director’s personal liability if a particular legal case goes south.
Now, I’m sure that the intrepid chaps in the Stenography Corps are across all of this.
There shouldn’t be a need for an accredited journalist in another country to report these matters pertaining to Planet Fitba.
However, when it comes to matters Ibrox to, they seem somewhat reticent to go after the truth.
Baffling…

“Rangers reveal £23.5m operating loss as Covid hits revenues”… BBC Pravda International
That’s £23.5m with an Equity Confetti injection of £21.3 m from Parks and Co PLUS a further £7.5m (this will be a conservative estimate if previous Annual Comic results are anything to go by ) to keep the shit show on the road.
This gives a grand total of …wait for it ….
£52.3m In the hole.
Looks like the long awaited fire sale at Ayebrokes is upon the walls of Mordor.
Then of course we have:
The bold Hector Mer Majesties Inspector
The now Uber rich Mike Ashley
The now getting desperate King
All wanting their dough on top 😬
Outstanding even by their standards.
I should think even Minty Murray will be impressed 😂
Is Halloween weekend not the usual time that the Sevco board like to quietly release their annual accounts ?
They usually use the cover of a convenient distraction like a resounding win or national event..
Now I wonder if there’s anything convenient on the horizon ?!?
Methinks some extra Persil will be needed now after seeing these eye-watering debts. HH
Pressure , something celtic never applied last year. We feel apart and allowed sevco to stroll a league. I think their directors saw the size of our rebuild and like many celtic fans felt we wouldnt be a the races this year. The three bears must have been very confident a month or so ago that they would win the league and get the almost certain entry straight to the promised land of 30mill plus for champs league footie, They probably told all their wives accountants and bank managers that their cunning plan had come true and prepare for a big return of their investment next season and book the holidays now doll.
They forgot about the fans coming back and Ange.
Right now they are living a death of a thousand cuts.
The fans are back in and your team is shitting it again with thE manager throwing them all under the buss every week PRESSURE
The dream of champs league footie is looking less likely, gerrard is crying to the press for more money, a lot of their team are in the last year of contracts and have downed tools , many others have one year left and they cannot afford to renew the contracts. PRESSURE
King wants his money back £12mill now and Hector wants his £10mill now as well and the wives want their holidays PRESSURE
On the other side of town a miracle is taking place. Ange has done wonders as have the players as we finally clear the treatment room slowly. And there is more to come. PRESSURE
Celtic have already said they will spend at Christmas, Sevco dont have any money to strengthen PRESSURE
Sevco need to strengthen but have no money and player sales have failed as no one wants their shite players PRESSURE
Imagine your life times work and wealth spunked onto a racist sectarian football club you have supported since a boy. They make you feel a big player in scotland , you thought you were gonna be the king of the hill and lord it round europe but now the Mrs is fuming with you, the banks are on your back , hector and king are knocking at the door
THAT PRESSURE
Aren’t they also “potentially” liable for “large sums” of money in a case against Ashley…?
And as a matter of interest…have you any idea when that judgement might “become active ” Phil…
It’s been a long time has it not ?
Well off topic but pretty topical. I must be the only non-Sevco fan that thinks their penalty against Aberdeen was a “stonewaller”. The fact that we knew it was coming clouds the issue. The question that has to be asked is, did the ex Sevconian, Bates mean it and I would have to say yes. He was only on the park a matter of minutes and it gives a whole new dimension to the cheating.
I remember another ex, Jason Cummings skying a free kick from 20 yards out in the dying seconds of the game against them much to the “chagrin” of his Hibernian (?) teammates. Again just recently, he missed a penalty against them. Hell mend these clubs, if not for signing them in the first place but for playing then against their “favourite team”. It would be interesting to know just how many of their penalties involve ex players.
You have to wonder when the people over at UEFA will apply the FFP rules. According to UEFA, clubs need to balance football-related expenditure – transfers and wages – with television and ticket income, plus revenues raised by their commercial departments.
Was here not a hastily re-negotiated shirt deal (spun as a victory that freed them from Ashley’s grasp) when it became apparent that personal liability would land on Dave and a former Director of Hairdo’s ? Got a feeling the Poppy day collection tins will be out earlier than usual this year.
Hi Phil, the amount of money owed to King and HMRC is frightening.
However it seems to have escaped the attention of their fan base who, after dropping 2 points tonight, are calling for player investment in January.
Notwithstanding the King and HMRC situation the club is losing money on a monthly basis which must be draining the pockets of their ‘investors.’
The only avenue to player investment in January is to sell, maybe 2 of their top players, replacing them with inferior talent.
I think Ange and Celtic have turned the corner and the return of Forrest and Julien in the new year will enhance the strength of the squad.
With automatic qualification to the CL Group Stages for the SPFL winners this is a season like no other.
Frightening ? Comical I’d say
