Own Goal FC finally produce the Demented Dossier

As predicted here, the long-awaited Sevco dossier was a whole lot of not very much.

The Ibrox klanbase were giddy with excitement as they anticipated the smoking gun.

Unfortunately, the guilty firearm was pointing at a bloodstained brogue in the Blue Room.

A cynic might conclude that this is a work experience project in PR deflection.

I, of course, couldn’t possibly comment.

Andrew Wilson of Motherwell FC summed it up rather ‘Well.

While the rest of Planet Fitba is chortling derisively, Dossiergate is still playing well to Sevco’s cognitively uncomplicated customers.

The SPFL response was as withering as it was brief.

I do fear for Stewart Robertson in all of this.

Decent guy.

Wrong movie.

I have not changed my view on that since last month when I tweeted this:

As for the Sevco High Command, this entire saga is what they think “winning friends on the journey” looks like?

Is it?

I am afraid that the Demented Dossier is just another manifestation of the post-2012 hegemonic hangover.

Since the new club was created eight years ago from the body parts of Rangers, it has burned through £60m.

Moreover, that does not include the Gerrard spending spree after June 2019.

That makes the Petrofac Training Cup a rather expensive trophy.

The current business model at Ibrox was unsustainable BEFORE the pandemic.

However, I do seem to recall one dignified chap confidently predicting that there would be significant investment into the Engine Room Subsidiary by January of this years.

Of course, one thing that the chaps in the Blue Room can count on is the obedience of the Stenography Corps.

However, the financial realities remain extant.

A closed-door league in season 2020-2021, which looks likely at present, is a perfect storm for the Sevco High Command.

Indeed, it will take more than a dose of Castore Oil to keep the lights on at the stadium John Brown played for.

As ever, your humble correspondent will Follow Follow the money.

That is where the real story is at Ibrox and not in the Demented Dossier.

  1. So funny. The 8 year Sevconian soap opera has been jelly and ice cream, morning, noon and night. Same comedy, different actors. All for just a pound too.

  2. Would it be rude to suggest all Tim’s Worldwide simply go outside every a Friday at 20:12 and bang a desert spoon against a bowl of Jelly and Ice Cream every week til’ they go bang?

  3. You have long had a soft spot per say for The “Serious Professional”, perhaps a revisit is required.

Can one be serious and bought, a paid signatory and mouthpiece for 200 pages of self serving crap?

Never more proud to not be red white and blue as I’m sure most of Scottish football fans are.

And beyond “we want to finish this” which is what any fan or club would want, hats of to Celtic for their silence.

Scottish football will be best served without tainted $ 2 or 3 times a year.
Proud leagues, not beholding to those that think they are “simply the best” seems rite to me.

Accountability should come next by way of points or $$ but Mike might win that race , , , , , , , and I for one will cheer!

  4. Just had a quick scan through Follow Follow and The Bears Den, I have to admit it nearly brought me to tears. ….tears of laughter that is.
Have they forgotten the help they received from the SPFL and SFA to get the new club back into the leagues?
What about being awarded the trophies won by the club in liquidation. Aye no problem, will take that, still going for 55. Aye right.
No complaints from the blue side then!
Will Hearts and Stranraer be among the clubs that vote with them at the EGM next week?
Could be very embarrassing if the vote count was 39 to 3.
There will be no safe football for the forseeable future.
Call the league next week then start working on options for the 2020/21 season.
I can’t see how the European leagues that are about to restart can do so without the transfer window being moved to the 1st July, otherwise there will be chaos, with clubs bringing in players on the 1st June.

  5. Rangers (Park and Robertson) wanted the game declared NULL and VOID right up front and early.

This would have given the tv companies an argument for £10m tv money clawback.

The SPFL approach has brought about the Scottish Govt declared third lockdown ceasing football and legally stopping the games.

A Rangers Null and Void would have severely damaged the game. No rankings no completion, no champions. No money.

    All to spite CELTIC.

They wanted to bring it all down. Scorched earth style.

  6. Surely the start to proper corporate governance is to get rid of Robertson.
All he brings to the show is the poison that seeps through Ibrox.
I can imagine the majority of the club chairmen reading his comments that Rangers stance has nothing to do with 9IAR and going ‘Aye, stu, so it isnae.’
After months of what he desribes as the worst corporate governance he’s ever seen he now puts his head above the parapet to make his feelings known.
Wait till King gets a to QC on the case, corporate governance will be the least of his worries.
Those will be centred around whose going to pick up the legal tab.

  7. So surprising to find that the dossier that we were promised would be dynamite : contains absolutely heehaw. A 200 page tome containing zilch and which makes the “bluster” laughable or as Andrew Wilson so eloquently described “risible”.
Sevco really are desperate ,as King gambled all or nothing on this season and Gerrard and the only way they can sell season tickets for 20/21 is to play the “everyone hates us orange card”
A pity they didn’t listen to the words of the late, great philosopher Kenny Rodgers
“You’ve gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away , know when to run……………there’ll be time enough for sadness When the dealin’s done!”

  9. Ok, so next week the Rangers motion gets trashed at the EGM and hopefully whilst all concerned are on the premises just call Celtic 2019/20 SPFL Champions for the 9th year in a row.
Robertson is fooling no one with his claims that the Rangers motion is about corporate governance rather than stopping 9 IAR.
Given the lack of corporate governance at Ibrox since 2012, and in the Murray era previously, he’s got a brass neck.
When they emerge from next week’s EGM and a certain kicking from the other clubs, you can bet your bottom dollar that King will be bending Robertson’s ear the minute the meeting is closed to ramp up the pressure and go legal.
Whose paying for this legal advice is another question but definitely not King!
Taking the SPFL to court could be a long and expensive process, which could result in huge costs plus having to pay the other side’s legal costs, just to be added to the Sports Direct and Memorial Wall bills coming down the pike.
Park, with extensive business experience, must realise they are pissing against the wind and with his own business interests under severe pressure due to the pandemic, might think now is the time to duck out and let King get on with it.

  10. It comes as no surprise that the SFA CEO is in lockdown in the Hampden bunker.
Maxwell is supposed to be the top man in Scottish football.
Has he got nothing to say about the flow of excrement pouring from Ibrox or was his job remit to say nothing, do nothing and that will be fine.
The SFA has sat on the fraudulent Rangers UEFA 2011 licence since 2012. Everyone knows Rangers lied about their tax status. The evidence led at the Craig Whyte trial was clear and conclusive.
Whoever submitted that document to the SFA should be in very serious trouble.
Would Police Scotland turn a blind eye to what was a multi million pounds fraud attempt in any other Scottish business?
A serious criminal offence has been committed in broad daylight yet those responsible have not been held to account.
Oh, Mr Maxwell when you get a minute, still waiting with bated breath on why the Fit and Proper status of Alistair Johnston remains unclear?

  11. The allegation in the Sevco manual of madness that Aberdeen Director Cormack received a concession is nonsense. He asked if there could be a club vote on ending the Premiership. Doncaster said he would take it to the Board. That was all, that’s normal. To my knowledge it wasn’t agreed.

    There was no approved concession.

Sevco picked up on this weeks after their public accusations. Cormack only mentioned it a week or so ago on the radio.

It demonstrates that SEVCO were on the scrounge for evidence AFTER their accusations. Desperately trying to find evidence of wrongdoing to back up their erroneous claims.

The theoretical claw back of tv companies was a point raised on this PMG blog by a contributor, again AFTER SEVCO went ballistic with accusations. They had not thought of it before they started mouthing off.

It’s great though, to see Barry Ferguson PhD, share his intellectual insight with us all, regaling us with tales of shopping trips in Larkhall, as well as chanting the “weearrapeepul” mantra for the Silly Billies who, on FF, couldn’t give a rodent’s derriere about his “thoughts”.

By the way – who does Stewart Robertson think hes trying to kid? His claims that he has had “positive” feedback will be shot down in flames this coming Tuesday at the EGM. I’ve heard a rumour that the SPFL are hiring the Queen’s personal butler, who will duly serve Robertson his arse on a silver plate!

God help clubs that were required to sift through two hundred pages of this bluster. Plenty of Red Bull is sometimes essential, otherwise you’d doze off. Twisted irony being that our football establishment have been in cahoots with Ibrox for over a century. In the cold light of day everyone knows that-even the misguided klan.

  15. Two things:

    1. Can someone please correct me if I’m missing the point here, but (ignoring the lower divisions) wasn’t the point of the SPFL vote on 10th April to decide what would happen IF it became impossible to play the remaining premiership fixtures?

If so, does that not make all the stuff about the SPFL failing to reveal the £10 million liability to Sky Sports and BT Sports for calling the season early a bit of a moot point? After all, the clubs weren’t voting to end the season early (only what would happen IF it had to end early) and so surely this information was not relevant to the matter being voted on and thus would not have needed to be disclosed?

    2. Given Robertson’s scathing accusations regarding the standard of the SPFL’s corporate governance, is this not something that, as a member of the SPFL’s board, he could/should have addressed himself during the course of the season? Or has this issue only become important now that he’s not getting his own way?

    Reply
    • Neither sky sports nor BT Sports have asked for recompense because of Covid19 stopping games. I presume the SPFL would declare Force Majeur on their contracts and Force Majeur wrt Covid19 is entirely correct on a tv football contract.

Sevco are flying an unlikely ‘what if’ flag that is not a current reality nor likely to be a £10m liability.

The govt has stopped games before the last day of the season. The games cannot be played against the contracted last day of 31 May.

      Reply
    • The liability to Sky Sports and BT was only gonna be applicable if the season was gonna be called Null and Void.
And that’s why everyone, Sevco aside, were saying Null and Void wasnt an option.

So the Park’s are in meltdown mode both at ibrox in the car business they have . And are running out of places to hide .

  16. When we come out of this pandemic, out of this crisis, Scottish football needs to have a game without any more malevolent Rangers influence or say whatsoever.

They need to be removed from the Boards of the SFA and the SPFL, for good.

Their Rangers first and only allegiance needs replaced in football governance by SPFL team player leadership. Creative Guys with a freshness and commercial nous to sell a cleaned up game with the Sevco baggage and bigots washed away.

I guarantee the game will be happier, cleaner, more honest and more profitable too without them.

    Reply
    • It was happier, cleaner, honest and had no bigotry whatsoever in the premier league when they weren’t in it. Football had a happier vibe and more families went. Without SEVCO our game would be 100 times better. The atmosphere and hatred this mob bring to a sporting event should not be paid for by sky or Bt. Fuck them, let them die or go and play in good old Norn Ireland. They’ll win the league every year and keep their bigoted, racist anti social fans happy.

  17. This is a watershed moment for Charles Green’s SEVCO Scotland Ltd, latterly The Rangers Football Club Ltd., a new club incorporated in 2012.

The Board of TRFC Ltd have reached new depths with their unsubstantiated accusations against the SPFL. A clear attempt at bullying and shouting down the SPFL has been exposed as a wicked and malicious piece of work.

Everyone is quite rightly criticising the Sevco upstarts. No one can defend them with their latest debacle.

Nobody respects SEVCO anymore, nobody trusts them going forward, they have now lost influence in the game irreparably, They have lost the fear of smaller clubs and importance, they will be challenged openly on everything. Sevco have betrayed everyone else.

    Backstabbers and Rebels SevcoRangers are.

    Outsiders.

    Shat the nest.

Bite the hand that feeds them.

Old Dead Rangers registered players corruptly at the SFA by not declaring all remuneration paid and by falsifying contracts.

Old Dead Rangers unlawfully paid players tax free in the Chanel islands whilst they worked in Glasgow, breaking UK law.

this new so called Rangers are rebels to the heart of the Scottish game. Nobody can defend them. No Editor can stop reporters telling the truth. It’s too much this time.

All this during the dark plague of this pandemic. 150,000 infected right now, 6,000 new infections each day, circa 600 dead each day….. and Sevco roll out this shit during this. Trying to bully and pressurise good men trying their best to protect the game. No it’s unforgivable this time. Too much.

The SPL was dissolved in 2012 to protect the game from Rangers FC cheating it for ten years with unlawful EBTs and corruptly registered players.

The exposure to litigation was huge.

£110 mullion to come thru worst 3 leagues in UK, all blue ££ donated by the world’s most gullible fans/zombies

Going by sev co accounts since they came into full time professional premiership, they have spent…
    2016-2017… £50
    2017 – 2018..£60
    2018-2019..£70

Total spend for above 3 years £180,000,000

THAT’S SEVCO SPENT £250 MULLION IN PREM LEAGUE(4 years)

    • I think the fact Robertson had to get it out without someone asking the question tells it’s own story.
Rangers have never been so badly served as they have than by the current board still led by King from his safe place in South.
At least during Murray’s financial doping years there was some return in the form of trophies for the money pumped into the club by HBOS.
The current investors, yep thats what the media refer to them as when they won’t see a dime back on the money pumped in to stop 10 IAR.
I wonder how the Far East ‘investor’ is viewing the unfolding shambles.
Would you ‘invest’ £20m in a company where King is calling all the shots?

They simply want Scottish football hierarchy to give unwarranted leeway on that specific matter. Sevco are predictably vindictive.
