Anyone who has played team sport at a senior level, whatever the code, will tell you that the post-match debrief from the gaffer can sometimes be a difficult conversation.
Consequently, it would be naïve to think that the away dressing room at the Tony Macaroni Arena was a scene of Zenlike calm the other night after Celtic were held to a 2-2- draw.
The champions conceded two heavily discounted goals to the home team.
Of course, the injury-time equaliser from Tom Rogic felt like a winner, especially as Sevco were defeated by Accies.
Another fixture has gone and a point closer to Nine In A Row.
In the post-match interview, Neil Lennon was quite upbeat and gushed about how good his guys were on the plastic pitch.

Anyone who thinks that public message concurred with what he said within the confines of the dressing room is having an extended chuckle.
Therefore, compare and contrast the post-match disposition of Mr Let’s Go.

At this stage, several of his charges must be presenting to the treatment room at the Court of Session training centre with tyre injuries.
After every bad result, they are very publicly propelled under the moving wheels of a public conveyance.
Dear reader, this is what you get when you hire a global brand instead of an experienced football manager.
With his iconic playing career behind him, Mr Gerrard made a very good fist of being a TV pundit.
However, being a world-class Number Eight and good media performer is not a skill set that readily transfers into the technical area at a senior football club.

Especially an eight-year-old one whose klanbase have artificially inflated ideas of what is possible.

I have enjoyed your work and output recently Phil, please keep up the good work, it is such an interesting time, with all the developments and different scenarios.
Having read so much recently about Steven Gerrard, I had a thought of my own, he has only ever bee with the one club throughout his career.
He does not know or at least be experienced in any of any of the problems faced, I.E. moving clubs, all that goes with that, indeed moving to a new Country and not speaking the lingo, so many variables to take into account, I think this is one of the things which makes for a good manager, a wealth and wide range of experience in all aspects of the role.
Long may it all continue but I think something will give shortly if it does.
The last time I posted here I was ‘Slaughtered’ by the ‘Full stop & Grammer police’
Entrails67 I think his moniker ha!
I am sitting comfortably in my chair at home today and not dangling from the top of a Telegraph pole, in a blizzard!
P.S. English and writing was never one of my strengths but it certainly is one of yours Phil.
Only a matter of time before someone on the blue side includes Gerrard and Fenian in the same sentence complete with a photo of him in Seville, hoops strip et al, mixing with the Celtic supporting big hitters.
Is that true about him being at the final in Seville?
When the stenography core, decide your times up….. the pictures of you looking glum, gaunt, dejected, even snarling. start to appear. BUT when the classic, looking the watch appears it’s code for, – the bus is along in 10 minutes – Get oan it!
We were sluggish at Aberdeen – but horrible conditions. So-so at home to Killie, really good at home to Hearts, and a bit stop start again regarding St Johnstone, Livi….. team looks like it could with a break and with the internationals coming up it’s just the right reset. We have got a home match with St Mirren, and a full weeks prep to Zoobrox. It has been sometime since we’ve had that. 3 Points Saturday and scale Mount Orc on the 15th and it’s downhill from there for NFL and the Bhoys….all the way to the Cup Final.
Where…… Immortality Awaits
Doesn’t Mr Let’s Go have a PR professional at the club to advise and edit his every utterance. Yes, including being mindful of his players?
This Rookie doesn’t have a single grey hair on his head and requires experienced advisors around him.
It’s clear to me the folks advising in his ear aren’t the right quality.
Everyone knows the best managers are experienced guys with lots of grey hair.
But could there be Ibrox self destruct sabotage merchants in blue?
Phil this is why they need to be careful how they go about trying to destroy his image not in a severe way but enough to get their point over . Though how they do that with Krusty the clown and his heavy handed tactics at Level 42 is another matter he only knows how to do things with a 2 footed tackle.
I’m sure that Mr Lennon was mindful of the post-match delivery by his TRFC counterpart after the Hearts defeat. I’m equally sure that Mr Lennon wasn’t too delighted by the way his team played against Livi but just wanted to demonstrate that no matter how you feel it’s important to keep it between the coaches and the players. Mr Gerrard would do well to listen and learn.
