When the evidence changes then so does my opinion.
Consequently, I am brought to the conclusion that the Morelos factor cannot be underestimated in the post-winter break collapse.

This morning I was briefed by an impeccably placed source on the entire Dubai shitshow.
It would appear that the official narrative on Alfredo is not entirely true.
Gasp!
Firstly, let’s be fair to Alfie.
Going into the match against Celtic on the 29th of December he was very clear that he had a deal with the club.
That is that his people and Sevco had agreed that he would be sold in January.
In the immediate aftermath of that victory against the champions, the striker was then told by a Blue Room chap that the situation had changed.
The deal was off!

It is not clear if he was then given…err… some compassionate leave or he just fekked off.
What is not in doubt is that when he eventually arrived in Dubai, he was a highly disruptive influence.
Toys out the pram from a sulking toddler who was clearly overweight.
After the Dubai sojourn, Mr Gerrard tried to read the riot act to Alfredo.
However, I’m told that it didn’t go to plan.
The Colombian was clear in his own head that his representatives dealt directly with the club hierarchy.
His response to Mr Let’s Go was along the lines of “you don’t manage me!”

So the most recent ill-discipline over the…err..visit to see his mum is following following on from his petulance in Dubai.
However, it might all got lost in translation…
In hyping up Alfredo as a world-class striker all that Sevco’s PR machine did was to pump up an already inflated ego.

I’ m told that the current mood in the Blue Room is to propel the Colombian under the moving wheels of a road-going public conveyance.
However, if they revealed how massively unprofessional he had been in Dubai then they would further subvert his market value.
The Sevco High Command are fortunate that the Stenography Corps have remained so obediently silent on all of this.

For the avoidance of doubt dear reader, your humble correspondent is not similarly bound.

Football is a very small world. Players speak to other teams players, agents talk all the time, there are no secrets.
No offers in the window for the man child tells its own story.
The word is on the street, don’t touch with a bargepole.
The bigging up to a £40m plus transfer fee and an immediate end to the blue side’s money issues has been exposed as a house of cards. A complete failure for whoever was pushing the narrative.
Given Morelos current trajectory he’s going to be back up to a loanee and a very old veteran striker.
On top of the Morelos shambles lets not forget the underlying cash situation.
Further advancement in Europe will add a couple of million to revenue but will go nowhere near to reducing last year’s hefty loss, what with the addition of Kent and others to the payroll plus improved contracts left, right and centre.
Then there’s the Sports Direct shambles still rumbling on with legal beagles still on the clock.
What wasn’t part of the plan was facing a quadruple treble which is now 180 minutes of football away.
Let me help you out Steven with some critical decision making support:
If you think staying at Sevco-Rangers for next season will somehow deliver different results then you are delusional.
You will not take a single silver cup from Celtic next season either.
You are a failed rookie manager at Sevco-Rangers without the nous to realise CELTIC are way beyond your challenge.
The closer you get, the further they pull away.
You will not get the £50m needed to challenge CELTIC.
Celtic have a treble treble squad with £47m in the bank.
Celtic have unlimited borrowing power and two very real billionaires owning the club.
You had walking away Dave King. He’s gone! Crying into the night!
Sevco-Rangers have over £22m player fees needing paid, Mike Ashley litigation millions to settle, Close Brothers loans to repay and Euro bonuses too. Then there’s Elite-Hummel litigation too. UEFA fan punishment on sectarian chanting.
You took two years to build this squad of habitual losers. They’re gash! It will take three windows to improve them. Meanwhile CELTIC will not stand still and pull away.
Do you even have the skills as a manager? Performance and purchases say no!
Do you think CELTIC will allow ten in a row to fail and a title to fall into your lap? It’s never going to happen.
Lick your wounds, Bow out gracefully as a Euro winner before BL rag doll your muppets and you’re sacked.
I do hope this had been helpful.
Rumours persist that Slippy G has contracted Cupless virus. He is in 48 hrs isolation until test results are known on Monday.
Cuplessvid-19 has appeared to have emerged in a Govan cluster, with cases being reported in homes of Sevco season ticket holders.
Scientists are focussing on a recent Columbian arrival as patient zero. ……… patient zero cups!
Victims show signs of depression, anger, despair, irrational gibberish, heavy drinking, sectarianism and massive weight gain in a short period.
There is no hope or cure…… as Celtic are your champions……. Just avoid the affected.
Yes Jackue there numerous rumours going around but nothing is as bad as the posts on the sites tonight . One Klan member has called for an outbreak of the Coronavirus to hit throughout Europe and bring the all the leagues to a halt to stop us getting 9bin a row . As well as this apparently they also want to be awarded the Europa league title for getting to last 16 . Oh dear .
There is a an article on FF tonight with the heading Don’t Fall For it Bears . The bile and hatred in it is the worse I have come across on that site . It is signed off as 73 year man who has been a bear all his life . What a sad little man and what a sad life someone has lived to have carried this hatred all of these years . He really should be ashamed of himself but hey it’s a member of the Klan we are taking about.
I just read that post on FF. It made me cringe to think that someone could be so filled with hatred.
Aye. And even more sad is the fact that I know Tims who feel just as bitter towards them but love to claim the moral high ground. The problem with the moral high ground is that it can be a very exposed position.
Gerrard would have been sacked yesterday or by Monday morning if Braga had won. Only a matter of time.
Looks like Alfie’s been ‘Negri’d’..
We know what that throat cut gesture meant now.
Giving a rookie manager all the money that can be mustered and expecting results was a serious lack of judgement.

Stop laughing at the back.
February – Taxi for King
March – Taxi for Gerrard
April – Administration
June – Liquidation
August – Rangers III
Can’t see liquidation this time round. Big mike will probably be the major creditor and he likes money too much to walk with zilch.
Steven Gerrard is underachieving.
Or, as he’s a rookie, achieving all he possibly can.
They can promise to sell him all they want but if nobody actually bids for him he is going nowhere. Lets look at the facts he has scored 12 goals in the spl this season , one more than Cosgrove (Aberdeen) and Doidge (Hibs) he plays in a team that creates more chances for him to score than the 2 mentioned, he has an appalling disciplinary record and a dreadful history of cheating . His manager has just stated publicly that he has let the team down through selfishness. He has created disharmony in the dressing room . They have been trying to flog him for 18 months and nobody has bid for him , his agent hinted he had a release clause in his contract and the price was low and still nobody has bid for him. Jim Traynor has hyped him into the stratosphere and created an ego that cannot match his ability so time to do a 180 and throw him to the wolves . It’s almost as if they are their own worst enemy.
Has to be more to this than Model is being petulant and a loss in cup. Gerrard still has a Europa match coming up that could yield glory. No, something much bigger must be happening behind scenes!
The story I heard is way beyond ANYTHING Phil has published. However, I can’t stand it up with a second source so I won’t repeat it. But if true it would explain EVERYTHING.
If Morelos has already mentally checked out from Ibrox,
then Gerrard has to discard his best player to train/play with the youth team.
Morelos’ season would appear to be finished.
The risk is too high that Morelos simply aggravates the first team squad – and makes Gerrard’s job even harder, with the EL ties coming up.
Absolute shambles at Ibrox. 🙂
Imagine this scenario:
At the said meeting of the Sevco High Command, it was put to Mr. Let’s Go that his services were no longer required. Slippy G reminds them of the recently updated contract that runs to 2024 and would prove rather costly to ignore. Jabba the Agnivore intervenes with his little black book of blackmail to remind Ge55ard of some unfortunate indiscretions involving either himself or someone he is related to, probably in marriage, which, if made public, would permanently damage Brand Ge55ard. The options: jump of own accord or release the press hounds…
This fits entirely with the narrative that caused the Translategate stooshy. Misquote Morelos, point the finger of blame at Sky personnel to take any heat off Level5, keep shtoom in the aftermath, giving e him a few days off to escape the flak, then when it goes all Michelle Mone, throw him under a Parks of Hamilton PCV.
This gives them the excuse that, because of his dressing-room disruptions, they are prepared to sell him for roughly what his true value is, instead of the vastly-inflated figures they’ve been spouting since at least the second half of last season. Come hell or high water, Alfie wont be there after this season has concluded.
Very very strange that SG has said he would let Morelos go to Columbia to see his sick mum last Sunday but he had to be back by Wednesday 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Does Gerrard know how far away Columbia is ?
Or is his private jet gonna drop him off right at his ma’s hoose and edit for him
I thought that as well Eddie – bizarre. Also Gerrard saying forget about the league…..what is that about? He seems to have lost the plot.
Salary McCostly ended up like that, totally going doo lally. The pressure becomes too much, the expectation too much. The failure too much.
Salary did have the presence of mind to not resign and go on gardening leave and collect his monthly salary until contract negotiated expiry after a year.
I blame the daily media grind for cranking up expectation, it’s irresponsible. Managers and young players find it too much pressure. It drives online abusive rants and staunchness too.

Morelos: “hi, mum – I’m home!”…
2 minutes later…
“Bye, mum! It was nice seeing you again”.
😂😂😂
Aye. That one puzzled me. The logistics of a trip like that on public airlines would have given him about 10 minutes with his mother. IF ALL CONNECTIONS WENT TO SCHEDULE!!! I smell SHITE!!!
Including check-in times at GLA, LHR, and BOG, Alfie would have taken about 17½ hours to reach Cerete, and the same back again. That’s a total of 35 hours, just in travelling by itself! He had 4 days (96 hours) leave of absence, so he had all of 51 hours on the ground, minus the time spent travelling from his flat in Glasgow to the airport, and the time travelling from MTR (Cerete) airport to his mummy’s place. All in all, he was at the family home for no more than 50 hours. Day 1, he would have been jet lagged, so he’d sleep at least 10 hours (I know this from experience, as I used to work at LHR, and done my fair share of global travelling). In short, he spent as much time travelling as he spent with his family. Unless there has been a bereavement or similar colossal personal event in his life, I find it extremely hard to believe this nonsense about Airmiles Alfie!!
You are probably right on this as gerrard has now left and rangers now looking for new manager
I think you’ll find James that Rangers have left as well.
