It is certainly a remarkable turn of events.
A lad who could not get a game at KRC Genk and was loaned to Sevco is not “worth” €100m.

Most of Planet Fitba would greet such a headline with tea spluttering hilarity.
However, that was not the intended target of this fairy story.
Like Boris and Trump, they have a very clear idea of the location of their highly credulous base.
Ever since Charles of Normandy presented the Holding Company Vehicle fable to the grieving klan in 2012 they have been vulnerable to this type of pish.

However, the role of properly functioning journalism is to focus on the evidence and follow the facts.
In doing so they hold power to account.
To that end, I’m told that the big hitters at Sky HQ in London are less than impressed with their branch office in Fair Caledonia.
Let’s just say that Translategate has opened a few eyes to the sloppiness of the Jockistan operation.
Essentially the basic message to Sevco from the broadcast organisation is:
“Look, we’re not taking the hit for this”.
Failure is always an abandoned orphan.
The blame game is already a high-Level operation.
Is this really the guilty translator?

Or is this just the latest another attempt at deflection from the real author of this shitshow?
However, this shambles finally pans out the Colombian striker is an unhappy camper.

I’m told that there was a tacit agreement between the player’s people and the club that he would be sold in the January window.
It is certainly fair to say that the Stenography Corps played their part and then some to talk up his abilities to potential suitors.
Almost every day there was a Morelos infomercial in the pages of the Daily Radar.
Of course, all of that was about Sevco’s pressing need for money.
Next week there is a serious sit down with Close Brothers.
The emissaries from the Blue Room will have some explaining to do. /
Firstly, last year the Close Brothers were assured that the Ashley litigation would be over and “to the satisfaction of all parties involved”.
Now, in February 2020 it is anything but resolved.
Moreover, there is now the very real possibility of a fresh court action between RIFC and Elite Sports over a withheld payment that the Ibrox club desperately needs.
With all of that in the pipeline, Close Brothers might not be too amenable to extend the current facility.
How much does Sevco owe them?
Good question.
The best estimates I have are the best scenario is £3m plus.
The worst case is £7-8m.
Despite all of this the Ibrox klanbase are fed stories about €100m wonderkid who can’t get a game with their home club in Belgium.
It is probably impolite to mention that the lad was offered to Celtic but the Parkhead club refused.
Now, I think it would be downright bad manners to report that the current director of football at Genk considers Eboue Kouassi to be a far superior player to the player they loaned to Sevco.

We are all well used to the Scottish media talking up the value of Sevco players…
… but has nobody told them this guy is on loan?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if he did turn out to be worth 100 million !!!!
Just think what Genk could do with that much money!
Seems a bit stupid to boost a players value before you’ve used the option to buy.
A wee request to all those who post any mention of Sevco going bust. Will you all stop using the word “again” in relation to this.
It gives the wrong impression that they are the same club. They’re NOT!! End of!
Sevco have NEVER been in administration. NEVER been liquidated.
That was the old dead club.
The big problem with the tacit agreement is an obvious one. Someone else has to actually want him.
Phil, I’ve not read the Daily Record. My uncle from Scotland, advises caution, and emphasises.that colouring crayons have to be bought separately. He asked me a question that I couldn’t answer with confidence. When a player is on loan, which team pays his wages? Anyone advise me?
That’s something that is negotiated between the two clubs, whether they go 50/50 or 60/40 and so forth on wages.
Are you all sitting comfortably children?
It’s time for Jackanory with Mr James Traynor.
Jackanory, Jackanory, Jackanory….
Ianis is just this years Barrie MacKay.
Their fans are saying buy him for 5 million quid and punt him in a season or two for 200 million. They are being serious about this as well . They need 10 million quid + to see out the season and they dafties think they have 5 million quid sitting at the side of the table to buy a player . As you say oh dear .
And 2018 & 2019 Alfredo Morelos.
The angle here is that players loaned to SEVCO increase 30 times in value in ten days. 😂😂😂😂😂 do lend your players to sevco.
How did Ianis get a work permit? Glasgow Immigration office? 😂
It’s 18.3C in Antarctica and suntanning weather. It’s 6C in Scotland.
The Worlds footballing clubs all know the shite spin out of Ibrox, including those in Antarctica.
When will Sevco give up on this pish it only makes them look stupid and classless?
When have they ever looked anything other than stupid and classless.
He is not the messiah… he’s a very naughty boy! 😂
Or McLeodinho who was going Leipzig for £7m. Or last years young winger whose name I can’t even remember but is now out on loan. Or the future £20m player who was just released.
According to this website https://www.inbrief.co.uk/football-law/footballer-work-permits/ Morelos will need to apply for a work permit extension this summer and that he doesn’t meet the criteria because he can’t speak English. His lack of international caps should put the kibosh on any move to England then surely the work permit situation where he won’t be eligible to play for the club/company will force any transfer fee abroad down.
A non-EU football player can apply for a tier two or tier five work permit, the relevant tier depending on his grasp of the English language. Under tier 2, the player can stay in the UK for three years with a possible extension for another two years. He must, however, have 70 immigration points (50 for an FA endorsement; 10 for proving he has sufficient funding to stay in the UK; and 10 in satisfaction of the English language requirements).
Alternatively, under tier 5, a player can only stay for one year. However, he can sit an English language test and, if satisfactory, can then apply for tier two status.
What happens if a club wishes to retain a player, or renew his contract after the initial contract expires?
If a player does not have a valid work permit he cannot play for the club until a valid work permit is in place. If the club wishes to retain the services of the player, it must therefore apply for an extension before the permit expires. If the player meets the required criteria it will be granted for the period of the player’s contract. If the player does not meet the criteria the club can appeal.
If the club wants to renew a player’s contract, it will need to apply for another work permit as above.
Yeah yeah!! But the Glasgow immigration office has managers who support Rangers. They use their discretion. How do u think he got a visa with no caps and no English in the first case? D’oh!!
Probably the same way the likes of Wanyama, Kouassi and more recently Soro did, under the “exceptional talent” rules which covers young players that are going to improve the standard of player in the league. Alex McLeish played a big part in Wanyama gaining a work permit as an example.
Well all that and the fact it’s easier to get a work permit to play football in Scotland than it is in England.
At least try and know what you’re talking about before trying to be smart arse. D’oh!
Why didn’t u mention exceptional talent then in your original post? D’oh!! You’ve just contradicted your lengthy first post. What a stupid arse!!
That you Scud?
Because it wasn’t relevant to the point,I tried to keep it simple & straightforward for the likes of you. I mean come on, any moron would know it’s the Home Office what deal with UK work permits and nothing to do with any “Glasgow immigration office”.
At least try and understand things that have been written. D’oh! Is that you JohnJames?
That’s an excellent summation you’ve laid out, but, when have that lot ever been concerned with rules, regulations, proper payment methods, work permits etc etc…?
Sure, they have their very own governing body, although, quite remarkably, they moan about their treatment from the aforementioned governing body when it actually does it’s job;for a change.
Great output today Phil🇮🇪
Now Phil that was naughty. Even implying that a guy who rarely made our bench, was more highly rated anywhere than than the most recent superstar (loanee) at the crumbledome could upset peepul.
Phil having being involved in professional football for many years in and around boardrooms etc , I can give you a categoric assurance that it takes a whole lot more than a tacit agreement to make a transfer of snr Morelos scale possible . Firstly a credible buyer willing to pay the sum required by the selling club has to be found , easier said than done , let’s assume for example the only club willing to stump up the cash play in the midlands , great say the selling club , eh No says the player , I’m on a new 3 year contract on 30 k a week and I want a London club , so I’m not going ! Also all buying clubs plus the players agent will be well aware that should this particular selling club fold yet again or fail to pay his salary on time etc , then the player will become a free agent and do walking away just like those before him , so you can see the big problem for the rangers , they really are caught between a rock and a hard place , snr Morelos now calls the shots , you may think the rookie manager would just banish him to the reserves etc , again snr Morelos says no problem I’m now unsellable, and by the way mr gerrard make sure my 30k is in the bank on Friday . Oh what a state they are in
That mix of Buckie and Deludamol is lethal. Pharmaceutical companies should take note. HH
When I get annoyed about abusive media articles about Celtic my wife asks me “Why do you watch/read these TV/papers?” This week therefore has been a bad one for my future viewing/reading. Not only Celtic supporters but also every SPL team players and supporters (except Rangers) have been accused of RACISM by Steven Gerard, Sky Sports, the Scottish Sun.the Daily Record, the Glasgow Herald, the Evening Times,STV and, indeed the BBC.I refuse to buy the Daily Express! for political reasons and I almost bought the Daily Star until I saw its Thursday headline “Hagi wants 55”-no joy there then! Surely I could rely on Virgin Media, unfortunately not as the headline in its weekly e-mail on “What To watch” was “Massive weekend for Rangers” as they face Kilmarnock in the tight race for the SPL title. No joy there then, however,I’ve heard there a good book out at the moment so I might go into the bear pit.
Seriously, why does Celtic receive such poor treatment particularly when some of organisations are largely dependent on football coverage and without Celtic in the past seven years or so Scottish Football would be in a far worse condition than it is at present.
Maybe young Hagi was referring to Hagi senior. I believe he turned 55 earlier in the week.
