When I read this tweet from Greg Marshall, the Supporters Liaison Officer (SLO) at Sevco, my reaction was instinctive.

“Massive strides”?
Really?
All I could muster on Twitter was an “oh dear”.
So far this season there have been UEFA sanctions for racism with a partial stadium closure enforced.

Massive strides?
The Ibrox klanbase still give voice to their hatred of the Irish Catholic other.
This is a belief system that was deeply embedded into Scottish society by the late Edwardian period on the Clyde.
By the 1920s it was on full throttle authorising eugenicist hate of the Fenians.
Nor was this racism confined to the rough trade at Ibrox.
It even permeated the Church and Nation Committee of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
Entitled:
“Menace of the Irish Race to our Scottish Nationality” 1923.
I reproduced the entire report as an appendix in my book “Minority Reporter”.
Here is an extract:
“The Irish have separate schools for their children; they have their own clubs for recreation and for social intercourse; they tend to segregate in communities, and even to monopolise certain departments of labour to the exclusion of Scots. Already there is bitter feeling among the Scottish working-classes against the Irish intruders. As the latter increase, and the Scottish people realise the seriousness of the menace to their own racial supremacy…”
Yes, dear reader, you read that correctly.
“Racial supremacy”.
If you don’t have that front and centre, then the Famine Song makes no sense within the contemporary Ibrox song sheet.
Thankfully the highest court in Scotland ruled that it was racist in 2009.
However, a year later was still being publicly defended by the likes of David Edgar.
The Kirk apologised for their unchristian behaviour in 2002.
However, at Ibrox, they did not get the memo.
Whenever Sevco players take to the field their klanbase is still singing about Billy Fullerton’s street gang.

That fascist militia (as advertised on Peaky Blinders) attacked trade union activists during the 1926 General Strike.
These thugs received commendations from the British Government for their service during that period.
Yet the Billy Boys can still be heard wherever the Ibrox klan gather to watch the eight-year-old club.
“Massive strides”?
Err… don’t think so.

After his speech from a couple of weeks back when he said advantage Rangers when they trailed Celtic by 5 points . Wee Shug Keevins on radio snyde last night told us that Celtic were minutes away from winning the league on Wednesday night until the late goal at ibrox . Oh dear from telling us just the other week 48 points to play for and that the league was not done all of a sudden Celtic could have won the league on Wednesday. Auld Shug he just can’t keep up these days .
That General Assembly report is only to be expected of the time , people and place. This was still a time of British ‘Empire Management’ (if not quite still ‘building’) and general geo-political supremacy around the world. Indeed the ‘between the wars’ political leanings of much of the uk leaves a lot to be ashamed of…
What IS truly disturbing, is that THAT report and its philosophy COULD have been written today, nearly 100 years later – not made openly public mind, broader UK opinions have moved on – and shared in only privileged circles as a strategy for how to remain ‘racially superior’.
Today it’s still hard-wired into their minds and whatever Ibrox based club exist … it will serve as the audio-visual outlet for proclamation of that ‘superiority’.
For me it always comes down to one thing.
That Klub should never have been allowed to exist in the first place. Scottish football failed itself in 2012 and continues to do so in 2020.
There’s someone out there who wakes up each morning and tries to think up ways of damaging a UK Plc’s Reputation and Brand. Therefore damaging the company’s value.
He does this by roping in others to assist. They are all involved in serious criminality.
If this was done against say, SHELL, BP, EXXONMobil, BMW, Oracle, Microsoft, ….. the perpetrators would end up in jail rather swiftish.
This nutter clearly thinks it’s some sort of game and he has rights to do this. Indeed in his twisted mind he thinks it’s his job. He thinks he’s in a conflict. He thinks he’s untouchable.
His miscalculating synaptic sparks probably won’t help him to figure out where he went wrong from His prison cell.
Sounds like a line from Little Britain. Which is, of course, what they’ll have in a few years. The United Klandom of England, Wales and Sevconia, starving, impoverished and brexited.
Now to be fair to him, and as rule I generally find it difficult to be fair to sevconians, he wasn’t specific about the DIRECTION of the strides. Forward, backward or sideways.
Still Game at Ibrox
SLO : Gonny stoap singing aboot fenians n’ tarriers n’ paedos n’ that?
Sevcos: How no’?
SLO: Jist gonny No!
Sevcos: Fuck Off! Ma Da n’ ma Da’s Da n’ his Da aw sang the songs. Wur no’ Rangers withoot The Sash. Wur just another team that plays in blue.
(Stolen from Hunmedia BTW).
It’s not going to end well.
Unless they’re liquidated again, of course!
You can’t be liquidated twice.
Ach, I don’t agree. Fed up getting tarred with British Colonialism. When did your average Scotsman ever see a benefit of conquering the world?
In his excellent book “Inglorious Empire” Shashi Tharoor gives a special mention to the Scots as beneficiaries in the “looting of India”.
It should be remembered that one of the last acts of the Scottish government in the last 17th century was to attempt a colonisation project in Central America.
That did not go too well for Scottish capitalist adventurers and resulted in their next cunning plan when they saw the best way to enrichment was to sell out their country in 1707 In the hope of joining in the English capitalist plunder of vast swathes of the rest of the world. Those of us currently north of the border are still engaged in trying to reclaim our national self respect .
Actually it went very well indeed for them.
Scots were disproportionately represented in the managerial class of the British Empire.
Phil it also went well for the Scottish merchant class many of whom built a fortune in the tobacco, sugar and cotton trade on the back of slave labour. Their days are still remembered in the streets and merchant houses of Glasgow .However the point is that the vast majority of the Scottish working class, living and working in poverty and a pittance were the backbone of the Scottish people as were the impoverished Irish immigrants, my own people among them. It is we who look back to the sell out of the1707 Parliament peddlars and seek now to take control of our own destiny .
Scotland was bankrupt and impoverished and needed England desperately to bail it out. It has ever been thus.
Modern Nationalists are trying to deliver a new Darien called Independence which is clearly doomed to failure.
Scotland has done stinkingly well out the Empire and Union.
No one who was alive in the times of the British Empire is alive today. To try and link what people did or thought hundreds of years ago to people today is nonsense. To try and blame people alive today for what people did long ago is stupid.
We cannot put our minds into the heads of people from back then and try to understand their worlds. Their educations, drivers, economics, beliefs, behaviours, loyalties, values,….
You write as though establishing a colony in Central America in the 17th century was actually wrong! As though there’s guilt there and it carries over as a guilt trip for Scots today.
I suppose there should be no modern facilities, technology, buildings, medicines, religion, etc… over there these days and they should all have been left to chop heads off and roll them down pyramids to this day. Running around The jungle Apocalypto style instead of playing football.
Anyone trying to run out a guilt trip on British people today for what British people did hundreds of years ago needs to sit down for counselling.
“You write as though establishing a colony in Central America in the 17th century was actually wrong!”
Yes, I think that colonialism anywhere was and is wrong.
So USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand shouldn’t exist today the way they do.
They should still be unnamed land masses with various tribes of savages attacking each other.
India, Pakistan and Bangladesh should be unnamed and ruled brutally by regional feudal maharajas?
Romans should never have expanded out of Rome and Mongols out of Mongolia? Vikings out of Norway, spanish out of Spain, Dutch out of Holland nor Portuguese out of Portugal.
Indonesia should not be a country but 32,000 different islands with 50,000 different tribes? Some of them still eating each other?
Arabs should never have left the Arabian peninsula and taken North Africa and Eastern Europe (and two thirds Spain) and lots of Asia to propagate Islam?
Hear hear sir. I’m afraid that truth will be totally alien to his university snowflake facist brain.
Phil have you heard that JD Sports will sponsor Celtic next season?
I think they are going to be under scrutiny like never before after the failed attempts at slandering our club, so hell mend them and they get what is surely this time coming HH 🍀
Sometimes they just don’t get the message infact make that all of the time . The tweet is EMBARRASSING but these people are so far gone there is no turning back for them . No doubt if there is a bad result over the weekend the Klan and their FAKE PR guy will be working overtime to get a squirrel story out for the start of week .
A friend who was high up in Ibrox pride left due to the deal with Trump Turnberry, he’s very high up with Unison so told them to feck off, maybe they’ve got visitors tomorrow and need to be on their best behaviour.
A friend of my family who was part of Anyone Everyone , Ibrox prime has resigned because of there tie up at Turnberry. He’s very high up in Unison and basically told them too fuck off with their Trump deal. maybe this is a heads up as they’ll be at the bigot dome.
The only thing missing in his comment is No Surrender, he’ll probably be inundated with comments asking why.
Off topic Phil…but…hope you’ll indulge me.
I want to do a post about two high profile Scottish strikers…who today find themselves at opposite ends of the spectrum.
First up…and I’m sure this will get the support of the vast majority of your readers…our very own Leigh Griffiths.
Reading his comments today, it looks as if our boy is back to where we want him to be…and that is terrific news.
He has come through a long dark tunnel…and is to be congratulated for getting his life…both on and off the field …back on track.
I’ve really rated the wee guy from the day and hour we signed him…and I sincerely hope that he continues to have a long, happy and successful stay with us.
Welcome home Leigh.
Secondly…and this might not get the support of your readers…Kenny Miller.
Unlike Leigh…who is at the start of a new career…KM has decided to retire from football and emigrate to Australia.
I’ll keep it simple…any guy who crosses the divide and gives his all for our jersey …is good enough for me.
I’ll never forget the unbridled joy he expressed when he scored his first goal against them.
The fact he also played for them is of no interest to me…he gave us his best shot…that’s all we can ask.
Bon voyage Kenny.
Kenny is also the only player to score goals for all three “Old Firm Teams” 😂😂😂
Now that’s a record that can’t ever be equalled.
When I worked in london, several people used to call a pair of trousers “strides”. Considering the waistline of your (larger than) average sevconian, perhaps they have started up a tailoring business as a sideline, making massive strides to go with their xxxxxxxxxxl fake replica tops that they bought in Turkey?
I thought “Massive Strides” was the name of the shop where a certain PR guru bougbo his trousers.
I’ve said it on here before…and I’ll say it again.
EVERYONE/ ANYONE…??
When Sevco OFFICIALLY disassociate themselves from the colour Orange…with all its connotations…
then maybe…just maybe…we’ll listen.
Until then…piss off.
