Given the turmoil that has been extant at Celtic, the knowledge that we have Martin O’Neill in the dugout for at least another year is something to hold onto.
After a bin fire of a season, the club formed by immigrants still completed a league and cup double’
It would appear to have broken all the right people.
The spirit of 86 (minutes)!

The fairytale around the Parkhead club really is a story that should reach a global audience.
From discrimination to domination.
With O’Neill as the new permanent gaffer, other things can be put to bed, such as the alternative.

I now understand that King Dermot initially spoke with Robbie Keane back in January.
My information is that after the celebratory fireworks at Hampden, the man from Kilrea wanted a week with the family to think things over.
Martin wanted the current group kept together: Maloney, Fozzy and Stachan Jnr.
It would not surprise me if Keane had insisted on his own guys.
As for the week the decision was made, as previously reported here, I understand that Martin O’Neill was in the building TWICE (Monday and Wednesday).
My information is that the ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv boss met with Desmond for dinner on Tuesday night.
I can’t say for certain if the multi-billionaire was taken aback by the level of hostility from Celtic fans to the prospect of Keane missing the home dugout at Parkhead, but it might have been a factor.
What now remains to be seen is the level of resources that Martin will have at his disposal.
Anything other than a net spend will, in my opinion, be a betrayal.
If O’Neill is given a minimum of, say, £15m plus whatever revenue comes in from sales, then the resource landscape should still tilt 2026/27 title in Celtic Park’s direction.
As far as the off-field changes required go, that’s a scéal eile.

First thing Martin needs to address is the Defence. I we go into the CL qualifiers with what we have in that area, we might just make the Europa league.
Love the discrimination to Dominance quote, priceless.
I am so happy that Martin O’Neil got the gig.
He is exactly what the club needs at this moment in time. I hope that the Keane situation is well and truly put to bed at the same time. Appointing him was never going to work out well for the club. The bean counters need to release the beans NOW
