Strict instructions for the Sevco AGM

I’m told that the massed ranks of the  Sevco High Command were at New Douglas Park yesterday.

My source observed the Convict Chairman giving strict instructions to the Conveyancing Consigliere in the boardroom.

I was not surprised to learn this as it’s the week to have everyone on message at the basket of assets.

With the AGM looming it is all about the optics.

I’m told that Mr Gerrard has already been given his script:

“I’m staying. I’ve been backed fully by the board. Alfredo will not be sold. We are building the squad for the future.”

So definitely no ad-libbing.

Unfortunately one of the Sevco High Command dropped his guard slightly quite recently.

He let it slip that if an offer of, say, £6m came in for the Colombian striker then it would be difficult to refuse.

Perhaps one of the reasons that Mr King was so earnest yesterday when speaking his representative here on earth is that the convicted criminal now has more skin in the game than he ever intended.

At the time of the Off Licence Putsch, it was all about OPM.

Now things are getting real for Mr King.

The recent issue of RIFC confetti was mainly down to him and that was to pay a legal bill.

However, don’t expect any probing questions from the Stenography Corps at the RIFC AGM.

That isn’t their thing at all.

Those attending the AGM are likely to hear about new investors.

If they want to know the identity of these mystery benefactors then I can help them with that.

The should just look in the mirror.

That was always Dave’s plan.

  1. I see Dave King has stated at the AGM that he’s going to dismantle the holding company and transfer the shares to the football club.
    How will this work ?
He also said he will stay on the board until sports direct are gone.
I thought he was chairman of the holding company as he wasn’t passed fit & proper by the SFA to be chairman of the club

    • I think the ‘holding company’ served only two purposes…

1- their protection against loss of history should ‘Liquidation II’ come to pass.

2- as a front for King… he could be chairman of the holding company and by pure magic be seen as the chairman of the football club at the same time.

There is no need for the company now as the SFA has them covered and have already set a precedent…

With King as a mere shareholder director there is no need for the chairman pretence any more.

  2. The funny fags are still being smoked over at ibrox noise even better than last weeks big smokes . He has put it out there tonight that sevco are better than all these teams Man utd Celtic Wolfsburg Feyenoord Lazio Porto Rennes CSKA Roma Malmo AZ Alk Seville and a lot of others . And this because sevco have performed better on the stats issues than all those teams above . Wee Coco what would we do without him . And the thing is he is actually taking himself serious with this .

  3. I doubt if any difficult questions will be aired at the AGM.
In fact I doubt if any of those attending have any worries about the future as King has everything in control off the field whilst Gerrard does his stuff in the dug out.
No one is going to question King on the £2m hit to last year’s accounts on the payment to SD which they did their best to hide, nor the purchasing of Ashley’s shares at a premium price.
Ditto who was the bright spark that renegotiated the SD deal and made a complete arse of it to boot?
By the end of December the loss for the current year will be approaching £9m, with a record loss for the full year to follow.
It’s unclear if the £10m required to see out the season includes the Sports Direct bill or repayment of the Close Bros loan…….remember those heady days when the Close Bros contribution was being sold as a facility and the media ran with it?
It has to be assumed that the auditors had full access to the Ibrox books and that any questions posed to the Directors were answered with complete honesty and backed up by the relevant documentation.
No doubt Kingo are already aware of the quantum on its way from Sports Direct and this is reflected in last year’s balance sheet, therefore is included in the £10m required to see out the season.
    Time will tell.

  4. Phil; was that “ad-libbing” or “ad-fibbing” that you meant to type….. 🙂

By the way, any updates on a couple of the theories you were looking into around that massive own-goal that was the planted story about HMRC?

  5. If I were PL In January I would publicly offer them £3m up front for Morelos (as Edouard and Griffiths back up )… also give them Lewis Morgan for free…. price would rise to £6m if he scores 15 goals more goals before the end of the season OR Celtic win the Europa Cup OR the treble .
Pretty good deal for them IMO

  6. The first fish the CHISLER will through at the BENNY’S at their AGM is that they are waiting on a tax refund/rebate from HMRC mistake claps all round as he reaches into his pocket for more fish to throw at the BENNY’S. Then he will get some backslapping from those auld mugs at Club 1872 more fish for gullibles. Then a nice wee squirrel FAKE NEWS story about a BIG MASSIVE INVESTMENT from Asia remember that one from Mark Guiddi that’s back for a special guest star appearance . Only this time dressed up in the disguise of wee Quark Deep Space 9 (Alex Rae ) spreading the minure on radio snyde.

    • Are you implying, Scudmissile that the Huns support are no better than dolphins…i.e. they love having fish thrown to them as a reward for good behaviour.

On behalf of the dolphins, I must say, your comparisson is way out of order, my good man. Your average dolphin is far smarter than THE most intelligent Hun. So there. Hail Hail

p.s. I’ll have a few tins of tuna if there’s any going.

  7. Just a few questions would do for MR King. As the largest shareholder and chairman of the company that runs the club, does the cold shouldering restrict you from any negotiating of any investment into the club? If so would you be willing to walk away to protect the clubs interests. Was it you that mismanaged the retail deal which is now going to cost the club millions? Why the U-turn on the disaster memorial?…

I dont expect any questions like that to be asked. My guess the questions will be more like.. Are “Rangers” going to sue HMRC for having our club “demoted” ?are “Rangers” going to investigate the people who worked for HMRC that had our “company” liquidated!..
And finally.. it was reported on clyde that there was a mega investment injection into the club in the new year, how many millions of this will be invested into the squad!…..

    • Aye. Or how about, “Is this new investment coming from the dodgy shareholders you mentioned a couple of years ago? Remember Dave? the ones YOU thought might be USING the club and its….ahem ‘good name’, for their own nefarious ends.”
