I’m told that the Resolution 12 requisitioners are back on the job.
I understand that there was meeting last week and that the guys are getting their ducks in a row for the next Celtic AGM.
It has been my settled view for several years that there are senior people at Celtic who would like this issue to just go away.

I’m sure that the R12 requisitioners could not have envisaged in November 2013 that SIX YEARS later this would still be unresolved.
Especially given what has emerged since the original motion was put to the shareholders.
This new information is partly due to the efforts of the 12 Requisitioners and the evidence sworn in open court during the Craig Whyte trial.
The R12 crew are to be commended both for their persistence and for their patience in allowing the club to pursue this matter.
However, my information is that the plan now appears to be to formally restore this to the agenda of the AGM later this year.
Then the shareholders can make up their own minds if the board has pursued this imported matter with all due diligence.
Watch this space.

It’s the old story of the ‘money men’ at Celtic having the same twisted view as the SFA and Scottish Media… that they are better off with ANY form of Ibrox based club than none at all.
It’s shameful and self harming as none of those ‘institutions’ would twitch if Celtic were to hit financial difficulties. In fact, as we know… The predecessor of one of them actively tried to finish Celtic off through financial cheating and lobbying of banks to foreclose on loans.
The same ‘peepul’ are aggressively slandering celtic to our sponsors, media partners, agents and even player targets to try and undermine the ‘playing field’. I wonder who alerted the SFA to the Tom Boyd commentary?
Celtic committed a shameful act of neglect and self-harm by allowing the new club to exist at all. They had the powers to prevent the birth of the Govan Frankenstein Club in 2012 and could have had further opportunity in the last 7 years but chose to do nothing. It’s too late now and we can only hope that their inherited trait of financial recklessness at any cost in order to stop Celtic’s achievements will bury them on top of the old club.
I hope the res 12 guys not only succeed in moving this on but want them to embarrass the Celtic board for their gross negligence on this matter.
The silence about the evidence from the Craig Whyte trial fiasco has annoyed me since it was first heard and the implications understood.
Not the evidence itself… but the fact that in Scotland it was treated as mere ‘hearsay’ despite it being sworn testimony in court. So conveniently ignored by the authorities and media , sporting or otherwise.
Only in Scotland… or should that be … not in any other country?
I see Tom Boyd may have talked himself into bother with the SFA with his comments about Beaton on Saturday.
Turn the clock back to March 2014, 12 minutes to go at Ibrox and Albion Rovers holding on to a one nil lead in a cup tie, Rangers running out of ideas.
Ball is punted into the Rovers box and Moshni, remember him, very clearly fouls the Albion goalie and the ball ends up in the net.
Ref waves away Rovers complaints and Rangers win the replay at Coatbridge comfortably.
There was an ex Rangers player, can’t remember who, on pundit duty that night who found Beaton’s decision to award the goal as mystifying, to put it mildly
The saying, the more things change the more they stay the same, springs to mind!
I fear resolution 12 will simply remain as another stain on the carpet covered by a rug, it’s a legal minefield (I do appreciate it shouldn’t be) that none appear to be willing to clear. The “Muddied waters and Glitches” appear to be convenient enough excuse to continue sailing through leaving integrity in it’s wake.
All the luck in the world to the Res 12 guys.
But don’t expect the Board to help you….something sinister is going on here.
The Celtic board seem to be complicit with all this. I can even see them all down the ludge agreeing on our current demise and implosion. I’m very near to the point in being done with Celtic completely, too many times through history have we been deliberately held down at vital times. Treated like mugs!!
It is my belief that The Right Hon.Sir Peter Lawwell has his eyes on the prize. The prize being President of the SFA at some future date. Think on it, fellow Tims. That would automatically mean Vice-President of FIFA status. What a bonus that would be for us…all those lovely unlimited expense accounts and Per Diem payments. Lovely-Jubbly. as a famous man once said.
Given all the above, why would His Eminence want to make waves. The poor dear has to think of No 1, for a change. HH
Do you have an opinion on why the board want this put aside? Extraordinary considering we were cheated out of a title and a potential champions league spot
They don’t want 10 or 9 in a row, as shows up poor league, they want competition a duopoly not a monopoly
No rangers.. no competition follow the money
Celtic have made more money in the past few years than any time in our history.
This makes no sense.
Cyan, it makes every sense. Don’t forget CFC fought tooth & nail NOT to have Sevco put in Div 3….they wanted them straight into SPL as they didn’t want to miss out on ‘Old Firm’ cash + everyonf knows CFC could GUARANTEE 9, 10….whatever in-a-row by simply putting a team on the park that no-one in Scotland could come close to touching……they simply don’t want to. They prefer the illusion of competition and are willing to gamble on even winning the title at all to achieve that.
Bayern Munich are chasing 8 in a row this season. Likewise Juventus. PSG are going for 7 out of 8. Barcelona are chasing 9 out of 12. By your logic these must also be shite leagues.
We should just tell the board that the game`s up and now we want the truth . Remember, Persistence beats Resistence .HH
Is this a flying squirrel to deflect attention away from the dumpster fire currently going on?
It is patently clear that Lawwell, the Board and Dermot Desmond have no intention of this going anywhere or it would already have happened. Shame on them for that as I will never get my head around the lack of willingness to chase this down. So bringing it up at the AGM, just to be kicked into touch, appears to me to be a waste of time.
Can the R12 Requisitioners be contacted directly? I have tried several methods of trying to find out ‘who’ they are & how to contact them as I would like to ‘join’ them in pursuing the CFC Board but can’t seem to find any way of doing so.
If you are a Celtic shareholder you will be able to meet them at the next AGM.
What IF the five way Agreement or even 6 way had Celtic’s blessing viz Scottish football is stronger with the blue pound , would not surprise me one little bit. If the boot was on the other foot do you thing it would be still being discussed. Celtic would have been stripped of all titles and not allowed to rename themselves born again Celtic , thought there was a law that forbade liquidated companies names or motifs etc being re-used by a new start up I:E Sevco. Are we watching the biggest cover up since Watergate I ask ..
They post at tsfm website
Also found this from an old Etims Dairy (sic):
“A list of original shareholders supporting Resolution 12 to 2013 Celtic AGM is being updated/extended.
Would any shareholders with an interest in the matter who have not already contacted Auldheid recently, please e mail him at [email protected] “
If Peter Lawwell and/or Dermot Desmond wanted this to go anywhere it would have been resolved one way or another long ago. The Requisitioners are a very fine, diligent group of people who are a credit to themselves and the club. But it seems to me that they are being played for fools and the Celtic board really should have the courtesy to be straight with them.
The time for playing Celtic fans for fools appears to be at an end. Desmond is underestimating his customers. The time for sitting back bumming to your pals that you own Celtic is gone. It’s time to acting like it.
I would guess Clumps, that the Res.12 guys have been painfully aware that they were up against a brick wall, re: the continual stalling.
[Disclaimer: I have no connection with Res.12 guys.]
Celtic – as a club – should be ashamed that this motion, originating from the fans / paying customers, is still outstanding after 6 long years.
I believe it is worthwhile to keep Res.12 on the radar officially – if only because the Board would prefer the support to just roll over and ‘move on’. Not happening.
