The week ahead will be pretty much like any other on Planet Fitba.
Of course, that means that Sevco is in court over a contract that they signed.
This time the plaintiff is Memorial Walls.

Just like with ongoing case with Sports Direct it is the current board who created this legal difficulty.
The original plan was for a place of quiet contemplation where Bears could charge their phones in solemnity.
For the avoidance of doubt, I think that some permanent memorial to the Ibrox Disaster of 1971 is a very good idea.
No one should go to a football match and not come home safe to their loved ones.
Moreover, I’m sure that the good folks at Memorial Walls would have done a splendid job in erecting a suitable edifice in memory of the 66.
Apparently, this company is alleging that Sevco backed out of a contract that they had willingly signed.
The date for the court hearing is this Wednesday, June 19th.

I must say, this does sound rather familiar.
Sevco signs a contract and then they decide that they don’t like what they’ve agreed to.
A very strange way to do business.
Last night I noted some nonsense swirling around about a £1m cap on the damages to Ashley.
I checked on this today and my guy at Shirebrook called BS on it.
Therefore, according to my information, there IS no cap and the final bill is going up with every Hummel top that is being sold via the Sevco car boot sale.
When I asked my Shirebrook guy to the extent of Big Mike’s share of the current merchandise sakes via Elite Sports he said “seventy to seventy five percent”.
Ouch!
Anyone who doesn’t think that Sevco were trounced recently in the High Court has not been paying attention.
A combination of the Conveyancing Consigliere and Dave “I don’t do detail” King has provided General Ashley with a better deal than the one he had with Charles of Normandy.

I suppose it would only be more embarrassing if Sevco had to ask the High Court for permission to open the Ibrox megastore on match days.
Of course, I’m sure that it wouldn’t come to that.
General Ashley has played a very long game on this one and the final bill will be dropped at a time of his choosing for maximum impact.
Meanwhile, the delaying tactics of the Sevco High Command in seeking leave to appeal merely increases the size of the bad news.
I spoke with a contract lawyer this morning and she could not see any legal grounds for an appeal by the Ibrox entity.
If Sevco is successful in that then the court costs will rise by around £150k-£200k on Ashley’s side alone.
As I have previously observed the reign of error since the Off Licence Putsch in 2015 has been a case study in the Dunning–Kruger effect.
Ousting the old board was the easy part.

However, running a football club is challenging if you are new to the game.
Moreover, the Convict Chairman has consistently ignored the wise counsel of the Serious Professional.
For example, across the Clyde, the Celtic merchandising operation is the gold standard, but it did not magically appear in the days after the Bunnet took control in 1994.
Indeed, it took many years and a huge amount of professional diligence to get to where they are now.
By contrast, this next court case might turn out to be a fitting memorial to the amateurishness of the Sevco High Command under Dave King.

Considering the amount at stake here. Is this an indication of just how precarious is the financial situation at Ibrox these days?
£1.1M is currently a step too far.
It appears that Stevie G has carte blanche to bring in whoever he wants on loan or a Bosman.
Is anyone keeping track of the financials as the squad is beefed up with plenty of arrivals but no one going the other way.
For instance I reckon they have 7 wingers now on the books.
The 2 Liverpool loanees
Candelias

Hastie to be loaned out but with Rangers picking up most of the tab particularly if he goes to another SPFL team.
If that’s not overkill I don’t know what is.
They will ask for it to be thrown out due to them being The Rangers International Football Club
Phil, going back a couple of years there was a court case with the company supplying the Ibrox Wifi connection.
There had been serious grumbling from the fans about the service provided.
If memory serves me well the supplier had delivered what was ordered but was insufficient to cover the number of potential users in the stadium.
Was this resolved or did a new supplier take over?
I’m presuming that currently Rangers have an adequate system to support the needs of their fans?
The latest upcoming court case with the company contracted to provide a suitable memorial to the Ibrox disaster victims is not just embarrassing but a kick in the teeth for the friends and relatives of the dead and injured.
Just as with the merchandising contract the memorial contract was signed by the current board. It’s patently obvious that either Kingco is receiving disastrous legal advice or are ignoring the professional advice being given to them and someone at Ibrox is calling the shots presumably with the backing of the board.
When put togethet the legal costs arising from 7 years of court cases must have brought profound thanks from the legal profession with no end in sight as one court case ends as sure as night follows day up pops another one.
It’s not just the Rangers fans that have smiles on their faces these days, trophyless and all, the legal profession are just beaming at the work coming their way.
What are the chances Big Mike ends up owning Sevco, lock, stock and barrel?
That’s what we’re up against! Lies become acceptable with time unless we are vigilant. Good on you Phil for correcting an errant friend.
Another day, another court date for the 7 year-old klub. They may just have created a little history of their own! HH
Phil – stop being such a doom-and-gloom merchant! Everybody knows that the imminent sales of Tavernier for north of £10 million, and the Colombian Cruyff for £30 million+ will eradicate this temporary fiscal hiccup! 😂😂😂
While the Celtic Way is running out of places for statues of genuine club legends , it is fair to assume that there will be no erection to the present chairman outside Ibrokes – unless they eventually come to their senses … and erect a scaffold !
Admin 2 is around the corner.
Sevco has never been in Administration.
Try and keep up…
Indeed they have not been in administration, unfortunatly too many Celtic supporters have now bought into the lie that rangers fc are not in liquadation and that what happened never really happened supported of course by the lack of real reporting by the media and the silence on this subject by those in charge of Scottish football
Foutunatly for those who would seek and know the truth, facts are facts, and cannot be changed, ignoring them though is as good as peddiling the lie that it did not happen, and in this regard has been quite succesfull in the cover up of the truth.
It’s what corruption does.
