Yes, dear reader, we are now in the Pantomime season.
This year a new seasonal production offering fun for the whole family.
it is a tall tale about the hilarious hunt for next manager of Sevco!
Meanwhile, across the city, Celtic are well-run, rich, and utterly dominant in the domestic sphere.
At Sevco, the next mug, sorry manager, will have to pretend that the basket of assets has any chance whatsoever against Brendan Rodgers.
I understand that Celtic have well thought out plans to significantly strengthen in the January window.
Rodgers and his team are succession planning in various positions.
I’m told that FIVE players could arrive in the New Year.
Three of them will be young “projects” and two will be first team starters.
Several players could also leave.
The picture painted for me was one of calm, careful planning.
Highly professional and evidence-based.
Meanwhile, the Engine Room Subsidiary has a caretaker in the dugout.
In fairness, they also have a director of football, but he seems to have little visible input into capital matters at Sevco.
As I have reported here passim, there is a strong pro-Murty faction within the Sevco High Command.
It does make perfect financial sense to appoint the incumbent caretaker boss on a permanent basis.
However, the crim across the water wants headline act in the dugout to excite The People.
Of course, he wants someone else to pay for it!
The reality is that young Mr Murty might well be the de facto Sevco manager for the rest of the season.
However, the Sevco High Command will want to manage that news to The People.
As we know they can call on high-Level assistance to control the local media for such sensitive matters.
After all, it is vital that The People need to believe that this pantomime horse at Ibrox is actually Rangers.

McInnes is going tae Rangers! Oh no he’s no! Oh yes he is ! Oh No am not.
Panto season joke.
Chicken wearing a hard hat and high viz jacket walks into The Louden Tav. Orders a pint of Hun Ale and a hot pie.
The huge fat barkeep with the big purple heid points to a corner table and after a few minutes brings over the order. The interrogation begins. Are you a Taig?
Chicken: Naw I’m a Protestant chicken
HFB: Who do support?
CH. : Am no into fitba , a prefer Croquet.
HFB.: Whit are you doin down here?
CH.: Ye see that big building site down the road, well ah work there as a brickie.
Over the following weeks the chicken comes into the Louden every lunchtime for his pint and a hot pie and continued interrogation from the HFB.
In early December the door of the Louden swings open and standing there is a circus ringmaster in all his regalia. Black shiny top hat, white shirt, white waistcoat white bow tie , black shiny knee length boots, black ballooned trousers and and a bright red
Jacket with tails. In his right hand he carried his leather whip.
I’m nearly there honest.
He explained that the circus had set a massive marquee at Glasgow green and he was promoting the show.
HFB then told him about the talking . The ringmaster gave him his card and asked that the chicken gave him a call.
Later that day the chicken came into the pub and made his usual order.
HFB told him about the circus and gave him the card.
The chicken tipped up his hard hat at the front and began to rub his chin with his right wing.
“Circus, you say. Large marquee you say. Why would they be wanting a brickie?”
This is time out of your life you will never get back.
I’ll go immediately collect my coat and hat disappear.
Ffs
Murty will be given the job at the END of the season, when the prospect of a full-time wage can be countenanced. Until then a caretaker is the only option.
If i was an Aberdeen fan, i don’t think i’d be giving Mcinnes the open arm, welcome back Del, pish.
This is a guy who spoke with Sunderland who are a basket case themselves, although they do have a bank account, i believe.
He himself could have said at anytime over the last few weeks, that he was going nowhere & he should have said that publicly before the ‘ double header’ v the Huns.
This is a guy who WANT’S to leave Aberdeen, despite his so called love of the club.
Maybe i’m wrong but i think Aberdeen should begin drawing up their own list of candidates.
Sevco also have a bank account, chief, how do you think they pay the wages?
It’s a CREDIT LINE they don’t have, no one will give them CREDIT, ie, a loan of any money.
You know the difference, eh?
They can use the banking facilities for transactions but the bank won’t extend them any overdrafts, loans or any form of creditory extension which might, and, in Sevco’s case, most certainly WOULD, jeopardise the bank’s money.
Just ask Sevco’s own creditors how ‘hopeless’ they are at paying their bills …
And you state that McInnes WANTS to leave Aberdeen …
Can you provide any evidence of this from anywhere or is it mere speculation based on your own personal conjecture?
And, since you seem to be quite an opinionated sort of chap, let me ask you this:
Do you think it was the ‘destabilisation’ caused by the talk of the Sevco manager’s job that affected his thinking in their recent head to heads or do you think, like many of his players, that he deliberately put out a disjointed side to bolster the league hopes of what was, at that point, his potential future employers?
And what does ‘back Del, pish’ mean?
A Panto horse named “Trojan” maybe waiting in the wings in the form of “The Souness” consortium.
Phil from your inner workings …
Does this consortium have any legs ?
I’m curious as to which end is which in the Traynor – King Pantomime Horse.
This much is obvious. This is a Panto horse with no head but two large arses.
Easy mistake to make given they’re 2 arses.
Which one’s the ‘brains’ then?
A kind of reverse Push-me-pull-you
McInnes was slaughtered by sections of the Dons support for not coming out much earlier to end speculation about links to sevco.
In the interests of fairness Gardiola, Mourinho and Zidane have yet to distance themselves from the job.
Just saying!!!!
To be fair he had to await the offer to see if it was a joke or serious.
It was a joke offer.
Why’d he have to wait?
Everybody knows it’s a joke club.
I was thinking about this issue between boughts of existential angst. McInnes is not well served by making enemies. Regardless of his desires, he knew that burning bridges is foolhardy.
He played a blinder as he showed he is able to negotiate pressure situations strategically. He knew he would take flak for appearing to not be vocal in his rejection of the offer. His strategy was to use that leverage to ensure Stewart Milne shows him the concomitant he needs to succeed at club level. Whether that works should become apparent in January.
If Aberdeen perform to expectations, which is still quite likely, he will be well placed for a move to a club that can satisfy his career ambitions.
Maybe he just secured funds to sign Moult in a couple of weeks?…
Wheres the next insolvency ?
Its behind you !!!!!
Oh no it isn’t, it’s in front.
oh yes they are
Hi Phil
Good work as usual. I don’t buy papers anymore but couldn’t resist getting the times to gloat at Bfdj. Oh they’ve took it bad this is how twisted Bfdj is “ He clearly feels that staying at Aberdeen is the best thing for him but that doesn’t help sevco; who are now left with no manager and a huge problem”. As if it was DMcIs fault and the headline on the article Mcinnes slap in the face won’t be forgotten. How delusional can these people get As if they say jump and he’ll say how high
Can’t see Micheal Stewart lasting too long at bbc ebt when he broke from the party line and told it like it was.
There was comments in the smsm today regarding sir Alex refusing the job 34yrs ago my but they have short memories about how rangers il treated him because he DARED to marry a catholic
Keep up the good work
But leaving poor Aberdeen without a manager is ok? Lol BFDJ has such huge emotional intelligence.
Fergie proves not going there benefits your career.
The truth is, although he tried looking in the mirror every day, he couldn’t say it was the same club, or long history, etc… without laughing hysterically.
And I believe Jim MacLean knocked them back because he was not given assurances he could sign whoever he liked the implication being “regardless of religious background”.
“Oh no it’s not”
ho ho ho ……thats the Champions spirit Phil
I won’t lie, the MSM being completely… errr… wrong-footed by McInnes making a perfectly rational decision despite their hysterical coverage for weeks on end has been a joy to behold! Who knew that things might pan out like this? Oh, you did…
Meanwhile (if I may…) here is an alleged MSM article about McInnes shunning Sevco: https://theclumpany.wordpress.com/2017/12/07/derek-mcinnes-a-total-loser/
And one about a hotshot new Scottish sports journalist…
https://theclumpany.wordpress.com/2017/12/08/meet-the-msms-new-sevco-correspondent/
There’s only one dobin the panto horse
Surely there are two? One at the front and one at the back?
Aye but the one at the back is an area and the concomitant one at the front is, well, a male appendage. Either may be used to describe Sevco’s favourite Airdrieonian PR guy.
For area read arse….predictive text 🙁
A big white horse went into a pub and ordered a pint of lager…
the barman said “We’ve got a whisky named after you”….
The horse said…
“You’ve a whisky called Dobbin ?”
Hard hat now on for my two critics…:0)
