I’m told that there was a dignified conclave yesterday and Poor Pedro had some serious questions.
He made a polite inquiry about the size of his budget.
All I would say is that reports about his £3m war chest have been greatly exaggerated.
The Quintessentially British meeting told the likeable Portuguese chap that any transfer dealings would have to be wage neutral.
Moreover, anything that was brought in from player sales would be dealt with on a case by base basis.
In other words, if a player is sold then he is not guaranteed to receive any of the monies let alone all of it.
As for the Bruno Alves story, well he would really like to be paid more money than Sevco were giving to Monsieur Joey.
Of course, one of the problems with this time of year is the necessity of giving The People hope.
If they believe that next season will be like this one, then some of them might not renew.
Therefore, it is important to get the message spot on.
Consequently, I hear that an intergalactic PR guru has been coaching Poor Pedro to say all of the right things.
This situation that has caused some dismay to the Serious Professional and I can understand why.
The comments about Aberdeen being on a downward spiral were created in a galaxy far far away and certainly not on Planet Fitba.
As of the close of business today the Sevco High Command had heard no word from their highly regarded chairman.
It is worth noting that while the current situation remains extant, then there is a planning blight on Sevco.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some members of the board decided to meet with fans groups about the current impasse.
Of course, that’s mere Fenian speculation on my part.
One issue that was stated to me today is the importance of the Holding Company Vehicle securing credit card merchant services for next season.
Apparently, this Takeover Panel thingy has made people in that line of work rather…well…inflexible.
This issue is being earnestly discussed within the Sevco High Command at the moment.
Oh, I’m sure it will all be sorted out.
After all, it isn’t like Sevco are a loss-making business without a credit line from a ba…

I think I counted 26 players Sevco were associated with last summer that didn’t join them. Jabba clearly finding them through google and getting them into the SMSM.
Jabba’s strategy to get the concept of Warburton +2 out the door due to a restructuring and recruitment of a Director Football has proven to be more half time pie in the galactic sky.
“Anything brought in from player sales”…..Again…… “ANYTHING BROUGHT IN FROM PLAYER SALES” !!!!
I know you’ve been extracting their Michael for many years now Phil, but “selling” any one player of the current Sevco bunch really would be quite some trick! That includes BFDJ’s favourite world class striker, the career average of less than 10 per season Kenny (I run around a lot, but if you watch you’ll realise I produce very, very little) Miller.
As for Pedro and the garbage he’s being forced to speak….His book should be a laugh!
Possible title…..”Roman Catholic Pedro’s Sevco, Not My Own Words”.
Hahaha, what a title for his book! 😀
However, if we really want to know what Pedro’s thinking, we’d have to hope that the good father of his local Parish Church writes a sensational, and career threatening, whistleblowing exposé of poor Ped’s confessions.
If he understands a word he’s saying …
Phil, when are the t-shirts coming out?
“A loss making business, without a credit line at the bank”.
PMacG
Medium please. 🙂
I don’t believe their next season will be like this one. It looks clear to me that it will be much, much worse.
Aye, they’ll have McInnes in charge, he knows what it takes to run Rangers.
But he’s no idea what it takes to run Sevco.
Quite interesting that The Daily Record’s headline is “Rangers Signing Bruno Alves,” later he becomes “Rangers Target.”
Dropping swiftly to ‘potential target’ to disappearing ‘off the ‘radar’ completely.
They’ve got more chance of signing Bruno Mars.
Keep it up Phil. All pain and no gain for sevco makes Ronnie such a happy boy.
With Clint Hill leaving, the age bill has already reduced considerably!
So third again unless Hibs have a say.
You and your Fenian speculation.
Head so far above the parapet it’s in the clouds. Etc etc ;D
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Etc etc etc etc etc. Fenian speculation versus real raynjurz propaganda, dunno what side of the fence you are on beeegajay but as a non denominational supporter of a fair and honest game, league, tournament that isn’t rigged by corrupt managers, directors, chairmen, yes, all of them, then I’m sure you will be able to see the big picture.
Actually I just lied. You will never be able to see the big picture you horrible bigoted inferior excuse for a human.
In the highly unlikely event that you see the light, get yer arse over to this side of the fence. There’s a great party going on.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Much appologies for my comments Beeegajay, having just reread your comment, I now realise you were being entirely sarcastic. I really shouldn’t go near the internet when I get home from pub.
Dearie me, I’ll give myself a slap.
Sorry Phil, thought you had been infiltrated by a level phive interceptor. I’ll go to bed.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Has the SFA told Sevco yet that it won’t play in Europe next season because it fails on the UEFA FFP rules criteria?
If the SFA has told them, then is Sevco deliberately not telling its fans this so as not to jeopardise season ticket renewals and sales?
If Sevco do not comply with UEFA FFP requirements, then why has Anne Budge of Hearts not raised the issue with the SFA if her club is to be denied it’s rightful place in the Europa League competition?
Surely the game in this country has had enough of EBT type financial doping, sham Nimmo Smith conclusions, a complicit toothless SFA, honest mistake match officials and a non-investigative press release dependent weak media.
David Murray has said in court recently that Rangers would not have been able to get some (better) players without EBTs. So no sporting advantage then Nimmo?
Very keen to here this answered as well
I’m sure Hearts will be happy not to be playing in Europe.
Their stadium is months away from being ready and the team will be getting another overhaul.
Rangers have been granted a licence by the SFA to play in Europe. The FFP rules are not set in stone and all a club has to do is show that it is moving towards being under that to be granted a licence. This has happened numerous times throughout Europe and there has only been a handful of teams actually refused for numerous breaches.
Dan, that tally then should be a “handful” +1.
Now that we all know the M.O. of the previous and now dead club, can the ruling bodies really stand idly by and allow, or even assist the new club with the tiniest misdemeanour?
Ultimately, despite others wishing differently, Sevco are absolutely irrelevant in the history of football. Consequently, if ever there was the opportunity to make an example and give a warning to others about fair play, then they are it.
Our Premier league has survived perfectly well without Rangers, UEFA tournaments likewise, there is no requirement whatsoever for Sevco, so I can’t see any reason why the authorities would hesitate to say “Not suitable nor compliant, therefore, no entry”.
Dan,
I have no reason to doubt what you say about FFP but it is nevertheless disappointing if true.
I don’t want Sevco to benefit from any financial rewards by playing in Europe, so maybe, hopefully, their stadium may not pass SFA or even UEFA safety standards.
I believe Phil is still waiting on info in that respect from Glasgow Council.
If Sevco was a person they would go to Dignitas as only a single fare would be required.
If I wasn’t such an unforgiving fenian,I could almost feel sorry for them. Then I remember the bile and hatered aimed at me and my fellow Catholics by not only the huns support but by the club itself for the last 50 years. No forgiveness, may they fade into history, and remind us all that you reap what you sow.GoodRiddance
Poor Pedro. At least he has the consolation of seeing his favourite team doing well as they go for the treble…
As for Aberdeen, I hear it’s not just their captain that Pedro apparently admires. He has an entire shopping list (if I may…)
https://theclumpany.wordpress.com/2017/05/16/pedros-aberdeen-wish-list/
And so it goes on ,hoping for a sugar daddy
ba.., hahahaha. Nice one.
The agony continues. …..you reap what you sow. The people are on the outside looking in and the view is getting worse.
Excuse my ignorance Phil but what is wage neutral?
Quite simply that.
Whatever player comes in there must be no increase in the overall age bill
Age bill?
Clever typo! 🙂
‘age bill’
Nice Freudian 🙂
Neutral gonna have to be wage negative.
An apt typo, Phil, but not one I’d necessarily expect Rangers to adhere to.
I see what you did there “age bill” quite appropriate ha ha
Many thanks…
