This morning has been like putting a jigsaw puzzle together with some important pieces missing.
Here is one of the pieces that Glasgow City Council sent me yesterday.

I think that this redacted email throws up more questions.
Why was there an “emergency meeting of the Safety Advisor Group” held on December 21st (two days before this email was sent)?
Following that meeting “urgent information and clarification” on several matters were sought.
Also the phrase “it is not now their intention to install safety netting at this time” indicates to me that:
- It had been considered prior to the 23rd December 2016
- They had not ruled it out at some point in the future.
That sentence is, at best, ambiguous, in my opinion.
I’m still trying to put this jigsaw together.
Moreover, I think it is instructive that I would not have the information I do have had I not appealed the original decision to not release these documents.
For the avoidance of doubt dear reader, I stand by my original story that members of the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) were informed by a representative of Sevco that they intended to erect safety netting at Ibrox.
Developing story…

Are “the Club” and “the club” different entities?
how do we read this letter…… cant zoom ?
Excellent work in behalf of the public good.
Thank you.
And a real GIRUY to those that still accuse you of making stuff up.
Salute!
Hi Phil
Did the SAG say in there response what they were unable to supply you with and why?
Ps I manage FOI dept in a large public body so may be able to help. It can sometimes matter how a question is asked.
Any left over netting needs to be hung from their crossbar to help that group of numpties they call a defence
Most interesting bit seems to be the P and S factors which from a quick check online have a value between 0 and 1. On that basis 1 is surely a perfect score.
Strange they refer to “the Club”. Surely it should be the holding company?
Is there any reason why I can’t click on that mail to read it?
So the attachment wasn’t included?
Oh my x
