I think I now understand why Glasgow City Council were pressing the Sevco High Command today for a response.
Today was one month to the day that I had appealed the council’s decision not to reveal to me information under the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (SCOTLAND) ACT 2002.
This time though the local authority decided to release ten heavily redacted documents to me.
These disclosures outline a correspondence in late 2016 between Glasgow City Council and The Rangers Football Club apropos the safety standards at Ibrox Stadium.
On first reading, they appear to raise some serious questions.
I will study these documents carefully over the next few days and then consider my next step under the legislation.
Of course, I will be publishing anything of interest here at the appropriate time.

did it not come out in open court and under oath last , that Rangers had been instructed under HSA legislation (emphasis on instructed) to carry out repairs in 2010 to the tune of £1.7m??? this was a Financial Director under oath who said this, not some internet blogger howling at the moon (as Hugh Keevins would say…)
Go Phil!
Good on ye!
Phil,
Hyou been throwing cats again?
Thank feq someone is,
Let’s see what tomorrow brings?
And now to add to their roof problems, they also appear to have a major, major issue with the goalposts…….They just can’t stop shots and headers from Celtic players rattling into the nets! ….rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle, rattle!
Let’s also spare a thought for the sad death at Ibrox on Saturday. That one early in the first half when Kenny Miller died of embarrassment when his attempt to get Jozo sent off almost resulted in the loss of a goal for the rank amateurs of Sevco.
The World’s Most Embarrassing Club…….What a joke!
Appreciate your time and effort Phil, considering the delay in releasing the info there could well be some interesting reading
cant wait for this developing story to unfold Phil
Just finished listening to radio phone in , old pedro after two losses is being hung out to dry , I was unfortunately watching the penalty shoot out in a bar at Glasgow airport awaiting a flight this time last year , the airport erupted when Celtic missed the penalty , renditions of “bouncy bouncy ” rang out along with other well known ditties , not a peep from the polis, reading online whilst on holiday warbs could do no wrong his players world class and he a future England manager , my how quickly times have changed , pedro now getting the same treatment from the red tops as Dr Joe venglos and Paul le guen ,the radio pundits acting as agony aunts whilst the hoary hoards look for answers ,they’d be better off writing to the banana splits dear drooper page ,
Had Sevco not started out in 2012 pretending to be the same Rangers then the sense of entitlement and expectation would not be as high as it is today. The sooner that the Peepul realise that the good old days are gone (hopefully forever) then the easier it will be for them to accept what they are and where they are now.
Sevco are no more a threat and city rival to Celtic than Queens Park and Patrick Thistle.
The SFA and MSSM are complicit in the perpetuation of the myth and they along with the Peepul remain Scotland’s shame.
When will the SFA inform Sevco that they are not eligible for a European place next season?
Ibrox is as safe as big houses… whether that particular big house will stay open or be shut, is out of their hands now.
The perfect storm is about to hit them hard on the napper.
Remember Phil, if you do publish anything, we want the roof, the whole roof and nothing but the roof.
What could be redacted?
Ach! It’ll be fine…until it isn’t.
Shit storm brewing!
