This is what it is like to be Sevco

After the demolition derby yesterday it would appear that even some of The People get it.

They are now aware that they follow the Espanyol of Glasgow.

This is a rather remarkable development.

The 5-1 victory for Celtic at Ibrox must have proved to even the most loyal son of Mr Struth that the Parkhead club is in an unassailable position in Scottish football.

Moreover, that position of primacy seems secure for many years to come.

Off the field, it is also a scene of carnage and capitulation at Ibrox.

On Friday a high-level emissary of the Sevco High Command was at the Shirebrook HQ of Big Mike.

An unconditionally favourable settlement was offered to the Sports Direct magnate.

The Sevco chap was met by one of General Ashley’s top legal people.

For the avoidance of doubt, it was the Holding Company Vehicle person who had requested the sit-down.

This brief meeting produced several questions that the dignified emissary couldn’t answer there and then.

One of those questions put to him by Big Mike’s guy was about what Dave King planned for Sevco.

The man who had travelled to Shirebrook from Glasgow couldn’t answer it or even offer a guess.

Ashely’s guy found this astonishing.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Sevco chap was not there with plenipotentiary status.

In the stadium, The People were seen by millions in all of their racist, xenophobic viciousness.

If there are any ambitious stenographers out there, then they might want to work on the Kenny Miller signing on fee story.

There’s your starter for ten.

There is a great story there.

Of course, they would require high_level clearance before they ran with it.

In my experience the classic saying “reap what you sew” applies to all those at Ibrox. In Scotland the Catholic Church was responsible for the three major universities, namely Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The Presbyterians I’m my opinion were responsible for repression of basic human needs aand wants. I could be wrong, but just think about things like locking up the swings in public parks for is wee kids back on the fifties.

  3. Keith Jackson today in the DR…

“yes King was undoubtedly acting in the best interests of his club when he grappled control of it away from the previous regime. He and his fellow directors deserve credit for successfully carrying out that boardroom coup”.

    Then…

“As far as the money men in London are concerned, King’s Rangers are even more toxic than the one Charles Green once brought to Market”.

Yes Keith, that’s because Mr King and his board acted illegally when they “grappled control of the club away from the previous regime”. Yes he and his fellow directors really do deserve credit, don’t they.

  4. The easiest win this season. Dingwall, Inverness and Motherwell have all been harder places to go. There was a real opportunity to top the nine we got against Aberdeen a few years ago. I said after the cup semi that I didn’t think we played particularly well. On Saturday the real Celtic turned up and sevco simply couldn’t live with us. By the end even John Beaton, who I thought had an excellent game, felt sorry for them. Playing no added time at the end could only have been to save them further humiliation.

  5. Clumpany, Sevco High Command do not have any guts, baws, cojones, testes or any other word for their genitalia. They are cowards and pure ” shitebags ” . As my wee mammy used to say me ,when I was a yoot , ” If you lie with pigs don’t be surprised if you get rogered!”

Absolutely brilliant blog Clumps. I’ve always thought that Flipper was much more intelligent than even the brightest of Sevco fans. Did you ask Skippy what was his take on this morass?

I’ve got a turnip which is less gullible than these sad sacs. HH

  6. Mike should force board to hand titles back – then and only then invest.
So his board can blame previous for this action….. and start with clean slate, giving titles to many clubs, and also giving Celtic 10-in-a-row already – so that no longer an issue either.

Celtic get no.1 status – and Mike aims to get Gers to no.2 first.

  7. Also had problems accessing site over the weekend but all OK now.

Can anyone list all the Sevco loan players that will leave Ibrox to return to their parent clubs at the end of the season?

  8. Surely not crowd-funding to pay for Kenny Miller’s contract extension?
    A whip-round for the star player’s wages…what next?

  9. One of the finest commentary pieces, if not the finest, about the events at Ibrox on Saturday, came from Ewan Murray in The Guardian. Here are a few snippets to whet your appetite:
“…as others reverted to prehistoric verse”
“….one Brain of Britain was captured on camera”
“Embarrassment in the stands was matched by only the woeful standards produced by Rangers….”

    • I was on a train ride during the game and the live feed from The Guardian site was a revelation (my partner swears by the Tennis live feeds and insisted I try it – she wasn’t wrong). It captured the game superbly with wit and real insight. I felt like I was watching it …

  10. Hi Phil,
    ‘Kenny Millers signing-on fee’!!!!

He may well have to ‘sign on’ the dole if his glibness has his way, still,it’s comedy gold watching this, seemingly, never ending car crash of a comedy club.Dignity FC.

I find it quite fascinating that their ex-fans have now,no interest in fitba talk,or,they have totally lost their allegiance and now follow Greenock Morton,or suchlike teams, that previously they had absolutely no interest in when riffco were cheating their way to equalling nine-in-a-row.I wonder why that is now the case.?

Blew them away on Saturday, but Police Scotland should be ashamed of themselves.Tens of thousands singing banned songs, and not one arrested for doing so.hunbelievable, totally expected though.I fear how low they can really go,I honestly do.Burning children at the stake on the centre circle, may not even be enough to spur Scotlands fiesta into action.
They too should be held to task, for they are blatantly ignoring the law of the land.Surely they are accountable to someone WITH some moral fibre,no?

    Thanks Phil.?☮️?

  11. Shirley a faction of the Sevco high command wouldn’t want to cut a side deal to isolate Dave? Have they not got the guts to no-confidence him or call an EGM?
Meanwhile, The Clumpany has been doing some serious research into what it will take for Sevco to overtake Celtic and I now have the answer. If I may, I would like to share it with your esteemed readers…

    • I read this article, and have a bone to pick with you, Sir! ! Why did you not seek the thoughts of our antipodean friend, Skippy the bush kangaroo? Was it merely an oversight, or are you a marsupialist?

Anyway, this article has no credibility, since you failed to seek the musings of Captain Scarlets, or indeed, the Mysterious!

Consider yourself thoroughly chastised on this! ?
