Painful consequences

It is with regret that I have to announce that it doesn’t look like there will be a share offer from Mr David Cunningham King.

Of course, there might some 11th-hour piece of glib and shameless brilliance.

The South African based entrepreneur is famed for such manoeuvres.

On the subject of 11th-hour moves, I understand that several members of the Sevco High Command had tried their own.

They attempted to bring in an independent party who would buy out Mr King.

Alas, they didn’t get any real interest.

Should Mr King fail to make an offer then it will be up to the Take Over Panel to decide their next move.

I had a cold shoulder once.

Bloody painful it was too!

  1. Amazing that the average Bear has no clue that their club (sic) is within days of Admin II (sic) and Armageddon.

The only press coverage is Keith Jackson’s “more along Timmy” piece that has King considering his appeal and not expecting a “fierce reaction” from TAB.

Better take a screenshot of that one for the archives.

    • Oh dear.
Maybe it’s a Sevco ruse to try getting Celtic to go there as their only hope of stopping 10 In A Row.

Or maybe total annihilated nuclear meltdown in 3 major reactors has caused a bit of a backslide in tourism to the area ..?

I saw a report somewhere recently which claimed that ‘radioactive fallout from a nuclear accident is nowhere near as dangerous as initially claimed’, and now I know why.

      But who will go?

  3. Have any of you shrewd RRM investers got your RIFC plc prospectus in the post today ?

Have any of you nauughty Bear-baiters been offered 20p for that single share certificate that you keep closest to your heart at all times to remind you that this extended schadenfreude fest is really happening ?

  4. Not a word from Ibrox about the song book at Pittodrie at the weekend.

The Billy Boys, the famine song, we hate catholics and Fuck The Pope all got big licks. Are they so devoid of brains that they don’t realise the hilarious scene in T2 had people laughing at them, not with them….there’s a huge difference

Is it beyond these morons to realise that some of their playing and management staff may be Catholics. …..ah but they will say they are not our target, it’s West Of Scotland
Catholics with an Irish heritage who we are abusing, they are fair game!
Police Scotland of course cracked down on the proscribed songs, one Rangers fan was arrested ….that should send a message to the masses.
Not a peep from Ibrox, not a mention in the media, not a word from the SFA/SPFL.
Is the UEFA licence stitch up all consuming? Is Level 5 and King working on statement o clock before the Takeover Board deal with King’s blatant refusal to comply with the TAB ruling?
King thinks he’s above the law, they are for ordinary people in his opinion.

Let’s see how the TAB thingy plays out, could be an interesting few weeks……..filling in the time till the next court case no doubt.

  5. Clumps sums up the Glibster’s SB drive quite nicely today. Very funny.

Was there any real doubt the Glibster would fail to raise the necessary funds, he has no credibility when it comes to borrowing (to pay back). He is good with other people’s money though, one of the best.

Interesting to see if he tries to ride this out. I suspect he will until the board get him the necessary deal to see him head back to SA pockets full. His SB drive this season takes on a new meaning, funds that could directly impact his bank account. A RRM indeed.

  6. Could it be the case that the SFA are applying the rules due to scrutiny from outside sources? A realisation that the old methods are no longer viable in the current state oft things, given the power of social media?

On a separate note, I Will be boarding a flight tomorrow from Glasgow to Donegal with a good friend to be at a christening on Saturday. On Monday of next week we will be visiting Sligo for an overnight stay where I will be scattering my late mother’s ashes in the garden of the house where she and her siblings were born. She was the youngest of eight and born in January of 1916. It will be both a holiday and a pilgrimage of sorts and my first visit since 1982.

I will of course be keeping up to date with the goings on in the Sevco saga and I will post if I can from over bye.

Thanks again Phil for the minutes of the latest Sevco “conclaves”, mo chara. I’ll have a pint of porter in Sligo town in your honour.

  7. Meanwhile back at Ibrokes, the fans are blissfully unaware of any bad news. Wonder how long it will take for the going for 55 to re-emerge, they need the season ticket monies.Dave King is a total scheister of a man. Distinct lack of money. They must be sick now surely. Celtic seeking planning permission for a hotel and a fan zone. Patrick Thistle looking to build a training complex. Ibrokes is crumbling like a house of cards, the poor team in Glasgow.

    • Not so sure the fans are unaware or do not want to realise the shoite they are in. Not like they could raise concerns amongst their own as they would become ‘Haters’. The klan are the best at shouting down their ain.

  8. I see the fake news is in flow with O’Halloran apparently not showing up for an interview see 20’s game. Where have I seen this tactic before in an attempt to shoehorn players out the door??

    • That article was from 2015 and the punishment was just a censure. It goes on to say that the cold shoulder wasn’t applied and that it’s “the most draconian” measure available to the takeover panel. Bob Morton, along with another individual, received the cold shoulder earlier this year.

    • Not a comment as such but I was on the site late last night and neither “bomber tactics” , “sfa enforces rules on Ibrox club” nor” painful consequences” had appeared. Not sure if it’s teething problems but I thought I would pass it on. Keep up the good work. C.

    • Not really sure what your point is when your linked article state the person made the mandatory offer as required and the cold shoulder wasn’t invoked. If nobody will do business Sevco, it will certainly affect them.

While King may well not lose any sleep over it, the results may be disastrous for Sevco and the other directors.

  9. It can’t all be bad news for Sevco.

After all King announced in his latest PR puff piece that “the club could be forced to introduce a waiting list, on an “earliest application” basis”.

I mean that’s got to be good right? Surely it couldn’t just be a glib and shameless lie to try and panic ra peepul into ponying up early for new season tickets, despite a complete absence of signing news and the likelihood that the only way Pedro will get new players is if he empties current ones from the balance sheet, so they can keep the lights on at Snake mountain for the rest of the season?

    • The prob imo will be waiting for King to GTF, which won’t happen of course until he has taken the club to the snake’s belly and the RRM are forced to put their hand in their pocket to see him off, tidy profit to stock up his wine cellar.

      Truly a king among men.
