Spare a thought for that nice Mr Bomber.
I understand that he believed that the Number Three job at Sevco was his for the asking.
Apparently, he had been promised this prestigious position by Mr David Cunningham King.
However, the Serious Professional decided to make an intervention.
His rationale was that Jonatan Johansson had better coaching qualifications and although he had played at Ibrox he didn’t have any of the local baggage.
This is the pitch he made to Poor Pedro, and the likeable Portuguese chap accepted his reasoning.
Mr King had also made a promise to a dignified chap that the fan’s liaison job was his.
Once more the Serious Professional made a move on this at a recent meeting of the Sevco High Command.
King’s man in the Blue Room was shocked to learn at how much he had been kept out of the loop on these moves.
The South African based entrepreneur thought that it was a done deal that Mr Bomber and that Mr Struth’s son was for the fan’s job.
I was saddened to learn that around half of the members of Club 1872 have demonstrated the Dunkirk Spirit.
However, the reported £1.2m in the bank account might not be entirely accurate.
These little errors can happen.
Mr Bomber and the Serious Professional had a free and fair exchange of views recently on the appropriateness of the current Ibrox song book.
The man who played for Ibrox believes it is important to be loyal to the stadium’s traditions.
Mr King responded to these reverses by putting out a high-Level statement.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Serious Professional and the Sevco High Command had no idea that this dignified edict was being prepared.
Then in a PR galaxy far far away the idea was conceived that a chap currently working for the Daily Radar might be a replacement for Mr Struth’s son.
Developing shambles…

We “West of Scotland boys” (AMcC) demand to know who these Takeover Panel people are.
Has The Takeover Panel been added to “Ze List”?
I think it would be fairly safe to assume so.
That’s okay though as King is flinging squirrels left, right and centre to keep the Gullibillies most happy indeed ?
If one was to delve deeper they might get the impression that a great proportion of the British Army’s noteable battles since Waterloo have been reverses…Dunkirk, Gallipoli, Somme, The Troubles, Basra, Helmand. Poor show!
Britain’s military prowess was mainly maritime.
They owned the oceans in the 19th century.
Believe it or not, some “historians” claim that the horrific loss of life on the first day of The Somme was a good and necessary thing because it meant Britain was taken seriously as a land army rather than a purely naval power. A similar tack has been taken to the celebration, sorry commemoration of the Canadian deaths at Vimy Ridge in the last few days. You can imagine that over-the-top-and-into-them speech – “you’re about to be shot to pieces, but your pointless death will make idiot politicians and generals know we’re willing to sacrifice other people’s lives in pursuit of somebody else’s objectives”. Lions led by donkeys ? Donkeys would never be that heartless.
Nah, man, they just want rid of us, lest we take all their stuff off them.
Phil,
As a man of letters and words and history of the UK, I’m surprised you continue to use the term “Dunkirk Spirit” incorrectly. You seem to use it in the sense of sneaking out the back door and melting away into the undergrowth, but a casual search finds a different meaning – see e.g. Collins English dictionary – “fortitude and stoicism in a demanding or dangerous situation”., i.e. the complete opposite of what I believe you mean, unless you’re doing it ironically in which case it went over my humble head.
“done walking away” is a much better phrase intimately associated with new Rangers.
I believe you’re accurate in noting Phil’s irony – however as far I’m concerned he’s got the meaning bang on, with the dictionary sadly misguided.
The Dunkirk evacuation was one of history’s foremost examples of the noble military art of “Running Away.”
To quote that notable surrender-monkey Winston Churchill – “We must be very careful not to assign to this deliverance the attributes of a victory. Wars are not won by evacuations.”
Personally I’m hoping Mr David Cunningham King takes these wise words to heart, and hangs on in there.
No Surrender to the Takeover Panel. ; )
He’s right they were won then by American invasions….with Russians doing upwards of 80% of the heavy lifting….
What’s Her Britanic Majestys share of the lifting now…..near zero….apart from funding ISIS and BOKO HARAM as well
Are King’s latest statements, riding the Aberdeen victory, just polishing his RRM credentials before he’s forced to seek refuge in a foereign land away from the evil and secret English/Fenian hand of the Takeover Panel? Ridiculous – but if you can believe in Going for 55, The Continuiation Myth, LNS etc – entirely plausible. Who would have predicted that the Takeover Panel would become and enemy of The People?
But what interest does King have in selling season tickets when he will soon be persona non grata at RIFC plc and Ibrox? Well, King needs to raise (borrow) £millions pronto to stay in the game – and there’s a guaranteed-by-gullibility, multi-year, revenue stream – and there must be other companies that do what Ticketus do – there may even be heavy hombres who do it informally – taking body parts as collateral agaisnt default – and well – I’m only speculating you understand – but join some dots – and what do you see?
