Mike Ashley sets out tough conditions for new loan

Ah it was too damn quiet out there…

Sources tell me that those fine chaps in the Blue Room have approached Big Mike for a bit of a help with the cash flow.

It would appear that the second tranche of £5m is now desperately required.

Fortunately for Sevco Mr Ashley is a reasonable man and he is open to doing a deal.

However, terms and conditions apply.

I understand that if the fine men at the top of the Marble Staircase want that extra £5m then there will have to be a new deal.

If The People thought that the loan agreement of 27th January was tough then I am told that the next one will be something else.

If this deal goes through then Big Mike would effectively own Rangers Retail Limited in its entirety.

As well as that there would be new conditions binding the registered trademarks  of the Ibrox club to the Sports Direct Empire for a considerable period of time.

The advertising deal that currently benefits Big Mike’s companies would also be altered and extended.

Moreover do not be surprised that, if this deal goes through, that a new Sports Direct kit deal is also part of the loan agreement.

A source told me that “what Ashley is proposing is beyond onerous”.

When he said that I found myself going all quiet…
