Martin Bain’s “race against the clock”.

Martin Bain has expressed fears to several people close to him that his main concern about his case against Rangers is not the strength of his claim, but that he simply runs out of time. The ex-CEO certainly knows the parlous state of the Ibrox club’s finances.

Bain is seeking over £1.3 million from his former employers.

On papers lodged with the Court of Session he claims constructive dismissal as they broke his contract of employment.

Bain’s lawyer’s have claimed that although knew he was suspended  he learned of his actual dismissal through the media when he was in the USA.

However Bain’s main concern is that Rangers will go into administration before his case can be settled.

An insider said:

“If this case doesn’t get to court in time the company might not exist. This is a race against the clock.”
