EXCLUSIVE.
Stewart Regan will carpet Hugh Dallas and other SFA staff tomorrow.
My sources tell me that the disciplinary hearing has been carefully choreographed with the agreement of Hugh Dallas.
First in will be the junior staff that passed around the offensive email about the Pope.
The junior staff will be reprimanded d and told that they should not do anything like this again.
Then Hugh Dallas will be brought before the SFA internal disciplinary hearing.
He will be told that what he did is unacceptable.
Dallas will apologise profusely and that will be the end of the matter.
My SFA sources have told me that Regan has been “totally outmanoeuvred by Dallas and his clique” on this matter.
Regan wanted to sack Dallas, but has cut an increasingly isolated figure in recent days ad people he thought were on his side are siding with Dallas.
I contacted the SFA, although they are continuing with their “No comment” stance on the Dallas email the very helpful person in their communications did not deny that the hearing was tomorrow and that the junior staff would be in first and that Mr.Dallas would then be ushered in.
“Very clever” was her response when I told her she didn’t need to confirm or deny this matter, as I already knew.
It remains to be seen if Stewart Regan’s hand will be strengthened by the Catholic Church going public on their desire for Dallas to be sacked, another exclusive on this site today.
