Ultimately, there was only one who could give the order to drop the blade of Madame la Guillotine on Monsieur Nancy’s reign of error.
No harm to him, a nice guy in the wrong movie.

I was told today that the termination was concluded on Sunday night.
The NDA was signed, and au revoir.
The termination of the Football Doctor is also cause for general rejoicing in the green half of Glasgow.
How Mr Tisdale came to be appointed in the first place is a disaster that shouldn’t be wasted.
I learned today that by game four of Nancy’s tenure, the man with the moustache had called in outside consultants to conduct a forensic scoping exercise into the Celtic operation.
I’m told that none of those in senior boardroom positions came out of it well, not even the lauded “formidable operator”.
Now I hope that Martin O’Neill gets the players he wants in January.
Just like the old days, I understand that he wants to address the spine of the team with some physicality: centre-back, central midfielder, and a striker.
Even if it’s just a loan, I would love to see this lad in the Hoops.

Martin O’Neill returns this season.
However, now he has players whose confidence has been shredded by the machinations of a floundering incompetent.
The Irishman now has 18 cup finals to navigate.
This is going to be a damn close run thing.
Moreover, the fact that a potential season-saving move had to await the authorisation of the “principal shareholder“ means that the structure that created this bin fire hasn’t gone away, you know.
That way of doing things at Celtic really should be for the chop.

Why did Dermot need outside consultants?
After the sale of forty goals and twenty assists from the team with no replacement, and the calamity against Kariat it doesn’t require a consultant to tell you that there are fundamental failings in the PEOPLE HE APPOINTED TO THE BOARD.
If he cannot trust the people he appoints then perhaps the consultants should ask him to look in the mirror.
Three quarters of the fans know where the failings at the club lie: there is a disconnect between what the team needs and what is being bought, and ninety percent of the players being bought do not of have the quality to impact the team.
Running Celtic isn’t difficult. Buy quality players in a timely manner, that can improve the side, and watch the money roll in.
Whilst I agree with you re the apparent intransigence by DD.
The fact that Rodgers walked away AGAIN in the middle of a Contract
means he deserves nothing but total disdain. Nobody disagrees with his
discontent with the Board however he had a duty to see the Season out.
MON proved that this group of Players were more than good enough to win
the League and possibly another Treble. Rodgers will not be missed.
If the outside consultants do not conclude that himself and his son is at the epicentre of what is wrong, they are as meek and as partial as the non-exec board
Hi Phil, my difficulty is why DD had to wait four weeks re the analysis of the running of Celtic FC. It was apparent to that he (DD) did great damage to Celtic after his conceited tirade towards a very successful manager. A manager whose demeanour spoke volumes about the profligacy of the Celtic Board. Add to that the diarrhoea spouted by Desmond junior and it becomes blatant that those in control and influence at the AGM are long past their sell by date if indeed they ever were valid in the first place. I write this as I am utterly jaundiced by the arrogance and self entitlement which has traduced and ultimately lost good people from Celtic. This will be my last season ticket purchase irrespective of the seasons outcome. Mr Desmond and his son are not people I want to be associated with.
