Two years of pretending at Ibrox starts now

So it is Statement O’clock once more at the stadium John Brown played for.

Just for posterity, here is the whole thing.

The cheek of them!

Those damn foreigners have warned the club created in 2012 that they’re on a final warning before the Copeland Stand (is it fully finished yet?) will be closed.

So, spare a thought for those poor dears in the Ibrox klanbase.

They have a whole two years now to refrain from being their racist selves on those special  Ibrox nights.

The featured image from the Daily Radar is unconsciously hilarious.

If there is ONE more racist act.

Really…

This reply to the Daily Radar post sums it up very well.

Quite so…

Well, the good news for the chaps who gave us the Famine Song and like to fondly remember a razor gang led by  Ku Klux Klan member Billy Fullerton.

There are no such sanctions for this racist performance art in domestic games.

Of course, that should be the local media’s main story, but as we know, succulent protocols remain in place.

Treating Scotland’s multi-generational Irish community with respect is obviously a “woke ideology” for the nativists at Ibrox.

Now, a quick shout for the Irish Voice.

The March edition is out now.

It’s a really great publication serving the Irish community in Scotland.

However, I do believe they have a rather contrarian columnist at the bottom of Page 6.

  1. Only when UEFA get involved do we see this false outrage from the club,if only UEFA had the same clout in getting involved in the domestic scene the bigot fest would be gone for good but no chance of that happening whist SFA,SPFL,Hollyrood and the Police all pass the buck amongst themselves. I honestly don’t understand why any outside investors would want to tarnish themselves with such a toxic brand. Here’s hoping the “deal” never materialises or Leeds don’t go up to the Premier League.

  2. These guys at the big house sure spout some shite on a regular basis. If their supporter demographic believes any of this or are taken in by it, then they are, without doubt the stupidest./ or most stupid fans in the world. Will they be able to stick to it, or will the temptation be too much? Who really gives a shit?

  3. Well after that little warning from UEFA, I can see potential investors fighting each other in the streets to get a slice of the pie in the sky.

WHY, in the name of god ANYONE, would want to be involved in this shit show, in ANY way, is completely beyond my understanding!!

  4. It’s worth reflecting on the fact that the high heed yins at the big hoose had nothing to say about the banner until Uefa came a calling. Same as the succulent scribes at the record to name just one scottish rag. All the statements came flooding out of the big hoose long after the bedsheet got its public airing.

Just the usual gobbledegook rushed out in their usual feeble attempts to appear as if they care. If there was no action from Uefa there would be no condemnation from the ibrox hierarchy. They don’t have the moral fibre required to be offended by the banner.

    • Couldn’t agree more. In the context of domestic football, every home and away game for this mob is nothing more than a klan rally, where they celebrate being up to their knees in the blood of others. Quite rightly, you sing that sort of sh1t about any other ethnic group and you’re going to get hammered. Sing it about the Irish (even the “Plastic Paddies” some of our own elected representatives refer to us as) in “modern” Scotland and it’s “Move along – nothing to see here”.
Maybe if the Kulchur Klub, media, football authorities, police and Holyrood actually did something serious about this at domestic games (not just the superficial, half-hearted, box ticking we have had so far), they might spare themselves the faux horror and outrage, as well as the fake handwringing, when a real authority, that actually takes this seriously, clamps down on it.
I see Jangles Jackson was banging on about this on some Daily Record podcast type thing. His problem seemed to be not the actual racism itself, but the fact that this whole episode – and the PR difficulties it creates – might adversely affect the fakeover he believes will transform the Klub where he probably still gets all his succulent lamb. Then again, weren’t he and his employers among those that dismissed the “famine song” as “just banter” and us as over-sensitive snowflake types for being angered by it? In this case, Keith, if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.

  5. One would imagine that this has gone down like a lead balloon for those wishing to sell their equity confetti near the Limpopo?

Hullo hullo they are the silly boys.
Who’s reputation precedes them by their noise.
