Dangerous delusions in the Blue Room

Hope can be a dangerous substance.

I’m told that right up until the commencement of hostilities at Rugby Park last night, the Transcendental Chairman was hoping for some help for a poor widow’s son.

Even after the derby defeat, Clement’s commandoes could still win the title on goal difference.

Like the climax of season 2002-2003 when EBT FC triumphed in the same way.

Now, a cynic might conclude that  they were assisted as Dunfermline provided little resistance when the Pars visited the stadium that John Brown played for

Of course, for such a scenario to unfold, Captain Concomitant would, once more, have to beat Celtic.

Starting with Adam Idah was inspired, and it’s clear that the big Irishman, unplayable on the night, was relishing the opportunity to be the focal point of the attack.

Going two up after 12 minutes was probably a sore one for the Dalai Lama of the Blue Room.

I do hope that he and dear Philippe can patch things up.

Victory over the champions as Hampden on the 25th will provide both men with breathing space.

A convincing win for the Hoops on the day could see the Sevco crowd turn ugly.

What isn’t in question now is that Celtic has guaranteed revenues from UEFA that are utterly transformational in a Scottish context.

Sevco can qualify for the same competition, but it won’t be easy.

Their rather garrulous gaffer  has hinted publicly and stated privately that major surgery is required on the current squad.

That will take substantial funds.

In the meantime, the usual suspects in the Stenography Corps will have to participate in Operation Soothe.

Consequently, expect more of this shite from the Daily Radar.

What a hilarious glance back to July last year.

Mickey B was gone by October, hapless Sam Lammers was put out on loan, and Sima isn’t their player.

That just leaves the badge kissing TikTok star.

Utterly glorious stuff!

The featured image was my immediate response on the final whistle last night.

For the avoidance of doubt, there IS a natural order in Scottish football, and it is Celtic at the top.

Until the resource landscape changes, it’s pretty much set in concrete and steel in the east end of Glasgow.

The stadium that Fergus built with the help of that share issue has created long-term dominance.

That must be difficult to take if you’ve been socialised into a subculture of herrenvolk superiority.

The poor dears.

In a sense, one of the crueller ways to make a living is to be a hope dealer on Edmiston Drive.

  1. Build from a position of strength both team and stadium transform the Main Stand by adding to our built in advantage and complete the Stadium and align it with the rest.

  2. Let’s hope the grey brigade (minus PL 🙏), for once, look beyond the parameters of their native shores, and fully support Brendan in the transfer market. Its time to forget about Espanyol and look upwards 🍀
