Seeing the Ibrox klanbase jostle for space on the Grassy Knoll outside Hampden has been quite a sight.
Jack Butland is a fine keeper, but even he couldn’t stop Kyogo’s shot as it curled past him.
Back and to the left.
Back and to the left.
When Celtic’s smiling assassin struck that ball, it certainly became something of a magic bullet.

Now, it really does say something about the Ibrox Herrenvolk’s sense of entitlement that they are outraged when the laws of the game are fairly applied.
Especially as the match against Celtic was the 74th consecutive league game that Sevco has gone without conceding a penalty.
In the age of VAR, this is a truly astonishing statement.
However, the injustice narrative has largely worked as a deflection tactic.
The real story is to compare and contrast Kyogo Furuhashi with Cyriel Dessers and Calum MacGregor with Tik Tok Todd.

Anything else is just a conspiracy theory for the hard of thinking.
If Celtic can avoid more work experience recruitment like in the summer, then the second half of the season should be better for the champions.
It isn’t a secret what is required, and that is several first-team starters in key positions.
That said, this interview by Brendan before the Glasgow derby match had enough in it to concern any Hoops fan who remembers his Maryan Shved comments from January 2019.
It certainly concerned me.

Here’s the key section when Brendan was asked about recruitment in the January window:
We need to and we want to – The club has a model and has a strategy in terms of what they want to spend, which I respect that; of course, I and they want to improve as well; if we can look to stretch that I’m pretty sure the club would do that.
Allow me to translate:
This isn’t a time for projects!
As I have already reported, the Transcendental Chairman has communicated to dear Philippe that austerity will be the order of the day this month, so loan deals only s’il vous plaît!
The temporary acquisition of Fábio Silva fits that plan.
That said, the Dalai Lama of the Blue Room is capable of being capricious.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tranquil One decides to roll the dice, considering that £60m goes to the winner.
Consequently, this isn’t the season for Lawwellball 2.0.
It really isn’t…
In the meantime, how long before CIA assets and Cuban exiles are spotted at Paradise by the Ibrox Herrenvolk?

While the Klanbase go painting bridges ( badly), Celtic need to seriously invest in the squad and kick on for the second half of the season.
Excellent stuff Phil, appreciate all your efforts.
Matters relating to tax and economics aren’t Sevco’s strongest points. They’re also clearly ignorant about basics like offside rules. It’s almost funny to hear them spouting about injustice. The most biased officials in Europe have assisted them in past/present form for decades.
Leading up to the Glasgow Derby, the klan thought it was a given 3points.( SKY and SMM induced.)
Clement had secured the League Cup and Europa last 16. He fell into the entitlement trap and rolled up with his winners speech already prepared. KARMA though exists for a reason.
He didn’t realise that a rank rotten Aberdeen team pushed his mob to the limit ( ably assisted by the Lanarkshire Refs.) Betis were rank rotten too.
Foreign refs (not English btw)are required going forward. Scottish refs are horrendous for a variety of reasons, but really don’t deserve such abuse or criticism that goes way OTT.
Football wise we require a new striker before a goalie.( IMO.)
This is going to be tight til May: quite confident well win it though. BUT its not a level playing field.
Or could CIA or Cuban exiles mean visiting players taking out Kyogo, McGregor or other key players to nobble our challenge!
Do a Maurice Johnson on Sevco and sign Butland…..could you image….
HNY
Clemente: The mask has slipped. HH
Spitting incident ?
What’s the club doing ?
Phil; I’m not sure what was most concerning with Brendan in that interview; the money being available angle as you have laid out (although it’s preposterous given how much money they are sitting), OR that he said the squad he has now in his mark 2 efforts may not be hungry for anything after a couple of years of winning. Is this current squad of starters too satisfied and not interested in putting in the effort for this year? If that’s the case then he needs to gut a few of them out the squad…..
You couldn’t mark their necks with a blow torch. Never went bust, never dodged an £80m tax bill, never cost the tax payer a further £40m+ in court cases & malicious prosecutions. 151 years old & never started again as a newco at the bottom in 2012, don’t get any help from officialdom but coincidentally are going for a world record amount of games without conceding a penalty in the age of VAR & release more statements & letters of complaint than any other team to try & pressure match officials.Dodged an HMRC Tax bill with a photo of Royals up in the dressing room. In their own words “WATP” more accurately as in ‘We avoid tax payments.” & “No laughing at the back or you will be sent a statement & letter of complaint.”
Any updates on a goalkeeper, this is a position we are screening out for. Joe has cost us so many goals and games this season.
It is beyond embarrassing the faux outrage against the officials and SFA now..
This is all to mask the failure of their new messiah to overcome Brendan Rogers .
It’s laughable them wanting transparency regards decisions when they benefit the most from them .
74 spl matches and not a single penalty against them .
Helpful VAR decision when they are struggling .
I’m sure there are plenty clubs scratching their heads bemused at the sudden interest in transparency over at Ibrox .
I’m sure many clubs would like to hear Audio of the many decisions that benefit the club playing out of Ibrox that have gone against them .
The new messiah has got so used to helpful decisions he could not comprehend why on Saturday normal service was not adhered too .To hear him practically beg that players get 2nd yellow cards on Saturday was embarrassing.
It will be interesting to see the response of the SFA is, do they throw the officials under the bus and let mob mentality win or stand there ground .
Against what could be deemed intimidation.by the football club
It will be an interesting start to the year
You know that we’re through the looking glass when Sevconians are gibbering and raving about handball decisions and their “mistrust’ of officials…..
But fun though Saturday and the aftermath was, a 2-1 victory with a nervy finale was the perfect illustration of how we are nowhere near as far ahead of them as we ought to or need to be, and there remains work to be done to improve the starting XI. Sevco and Chairman Miaow are capable of an insane “all-in” gamble, so our current, erm, ‘custodians’ need to be getting it right in this window.
Thanks for the update Phil, appreciated.
While I’m at it, a sincere thank you for all the articles throughout the past year.
A happy and healthy 2024 to you and yours.
Though I’m at a loss as to the meaning of your parting sentence, any chance you can run it by me once more in Golden Retriever feeling a bit Boydy atm.
‘CIA assets and Cuban Missiles’ etc, that one.
HH🍀
JFK as I started with the Grassy Knoll.
Conspiracy theories.
Exiles not missiles…
Sorry Phil, missiles instead of exiles, cripes; as if there’s not enough conflict in the World at this point.☮️
I’ll remember to switch my ignition on next time; before reading, eejit😂
It’s another JFK reference like the grassy knoll/ magic bullet bit at the start of the article. He’s basically saying that Sevco fans are coming up with a lot of conspiracy theories.
Thanks Holysmokes appreciated, I think I need a jump start at times. Or a new brain might be a better option😇
