I have written here before that Sevco’s new manager needs three things to succeed:

Time, money and luck.

Last night at 1-1, I thought there was probably little chance of an SPFL TavPen, and so it proved.

The Ibrox klanbase now must return to the city where they had their toilet-tasting odyssey.

Moreover, Sevco’s delightful customers are already looking again as their new messiah in the dugout.

In the post-match presser, the likeable Belgian clarified why he had substituted Cantwell so early in the match.

I must acknowledge that my buddy Alan Morrison of  Celtic By Numbers called it about TikTok Todd from Day One.

Indeed, he said it privately to your humble correspondent on more than one occasion.

The chap that Norwich City was happy to let go would do it for himself and not the team.

So, will Philippe be given time?

Frankly, that’s largely down to the Transcendental  Chairman.

Regular readers will already know the actual financial situation is at the basket of assets.

The January transfer window should provide more public data on that.

As for luck?

Well, the world-class match officials in Fair Caledonia can provide that.

However, as we saw last night, when UEFA are running the show, the playing field is worryingly level.

  1. Thirteen, unlucky for some, and in hindsight for Mr Cant its looks like his shirt number is more of a subliminal trigger for the faithful in how they have to see him in future. Not a good week for this social media giant, from being unable to dive to being unable to cut the mustard in European competition and at home, its not going well for the thin skinned one, never mind, I am sure his ego will get massaged by someone.

Young Causland came on and put in a performance, a dream start for any young player, he did himself no favours though in a warped way, now he will be touted as a finished article worth an eight figure sum by January, somehow I feel this one won’t be held on to till the bitter end.

I read last night how mr Clement was emphasising to his players, ‘We have to win this ‘ as the record put it, he had ‘gone Tonto ‘on the touchline in his iterations

Looking forward to what comes next, however this excludes the potential that could emanate from the Celtic board and how they see their way to helping their old foes new incarnation stay afloat..

I think it was to guarantee qualification for Europa knock out stages, because they now have an important game against Betis a few days prior to Cup Final v Aberdeen.

If only there was a level playing field, Aberdeen would have a sporting chance. But in Scotland its not about that.
