Mr Beale is currently in the best phase of his tenure at Sevco.
That’s because there are no competitive matches!
This means that the Stenography Corps can gush all sorts of hopeful stuff at their dignified customer base.

The Daily Radar and the Sevco High Command have the same credulous customer base.
So they have the same interests in keeping the feel-good narrative alive.

The real business resumes against Hibs on Thursday.
I suspect the enormity of the job is now starting to dawn on Mr Beale.
Indeed, at a recent dignified conclave with the Serious Professional and the Director of Fantasy, he was reminded about the resource landscape at Sevco.

First, I’m told that the QPR legend said he was surprised at the squad’s lack of conditioning.
Consequently, he doesn’t think his preferred 4-3-3- high press might not be feasible in the short term.
Ironically, copying the Van Bronckhorst pragmatic playbook is probably the smart move.
So this January, it will likely be loan deals on a case-by-case basis.
Moreover, before loanees can come in, space must first be freed up on the wage bill.
Regarding mild-mannered Ryan Kent and Pobrecito Alfredo, they will hold all of the contractual cards in a couple of weeks from now.

On January first, they will both be in pre-contract territory.
Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if the ample Colombian was angling for a mid-table La Liga side.
Let us imagine that Mr Beale would ideally like five or six new players in the January window.
What type of recruits would be like?
Well, certainly a right-back/right-centre-back utility player.
Two central midfielders, a number six, an eight with energy, possibly another eight who could play as a ten and another utility forward.
As it stands, they only really have two sellable assets on contract:
Borna Barišić and Glenn Kamara.
Therefore, I wasn’t surprised to see this sort of stuff in the media.

It would appear that the Croatians themselves are fully aware of who is at the front of the queue for praise in this World Cup.

Let’s just say that Celtic do not need to invent transfer interest stories in THEIR Croat.
His departure from the Hoops in the January window is expected; just the destination and the transfer fee remain to be decided.
What is clear is that the profit made on Josip Juranović will not be needed to replay loans to directors or to cover litigation costs.
The arrival of the fullback from Legia Warsaw on a five-year deal for £2.5m is the result of excellent scouting and intelligent recruitment.

Across the city, the direction of travel isn’t so easily discernible at this point.
The people in the game that I have spoken to over the last week are of the opinion that Sevco has downgraded on the manager front.
After all, the last chap got them to a European final.
It would be awkward if Mr Giovanni’s agent weren’t too keen on his client taking gardening leave.
As in, money up front right away!
That sort of thing would have Mr Beale planning a detour this January.

I recall c 1983 Jock Wallace returning to ibrox and honing football skills by running up sand dunes. He also re-introduced the wearing of red and black top hose. Don’t recall it having any effect, club reduced to the rank of spectator as Aberdeen, Celtic and Dundee United were in a 3 way scrap at the time. Bet you’re thinking I made up the socks.
Hi Phil. A number of Sevconians are saying that the settlement between the liquidators of Rangers and HMRC means the Rangers debts have been paid in full and that the whole liquidation thing could have been avoided. Are you able to disabuse them of this notion?
Ange and his team must be shitting themselves when they read the usual suspects bugging up brown brogues and a collar and tie being the force behind the Ibrox club wrestling the league from Celtic.
Perhaps the author of this shit has just returned from the works Xmas night out before sharing this wonderful news with their audience of choice.
Looking at the next few weeks fixtures that 9 point gap could grow rather than close. Really? I think not.
As of today Sevco are due $300,000 (US Dollars) or £242,640 at tonight’s closing money market rate.
This is calculated very simply. FIFA are paying each club $10,000 per day, for each day the country is still in the competition, beginning from one week before the start of the competition. Celtic will get the same sum for Juranovic, despite the fact he’s played three games more. Celtic will however also pocket around $200,000 for each of the other three players we had there. The best part of £500,000.
Some of you may be interested in looking up a guy called Stipe Barasic on the internet. He’s the father of Borna. A colourful man. Of much interest to men with stars. Stars with five points. Wyatt Earp had one.
The thing is, Beale must have been given assurances that he could bring much needed players into the club or why would he have left QPR after knocking back Wolves just before Sevco came calling. Interesting times ahead under the watchful eye of the UEFA FFP team.
“must have been given assurances” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
Not much said about the 5 stars disappearing all together from the kit?
They have one sellable asset just now, Kamara. Bsrisic is 30+ and hopeless. Colak may be worth selling eventually but currently his existence in the team is more important.
Reminds me of The Talking Heads ditty ,’We’re on a road to nowhere ‘ ….
Perhaps “Beale will be bealin” when the penny finally drops? 🙂
Manage someone else’s [failing] team until the end of the season,
and [somehow] deliver the league title and maybe a cup too.
Anything less and the bears will be growling – and the Blue Room will not hesitate to point the finger at Beale.
…so, we HAVE to win another Treble this season!!!
The Beale Bus, classic Phil classic , limited to 70 mph and the first two lanes of the motorway.
What next,…
Hello, Hello
We are the Bealy boys
Hello, Hello
He’s full of sneaky ploys
He’s up to his knees in sevco shite
And full of made up lies
For he is
the fat hun Bealy boy.
I was listening to a podcast the other night whereby Nobel Peace prize winner Maria Ressa was speaking.
Regards how we are all manipulated by the media and if they repeat a lie over and over continuously people will begin to think it is true .
It made me think of the holding company nonsense and engine room subsidiary nonsense regards a football club that was liquidated back in 2012
And the subsequent lies since then peddled by a compliant media .which the gullible fan base lap up .
It is all quite simple. If Airdrie is a new club then so areThe Rangers.
