In the plethora of fan media, the guys on the Huddle Breakdown are top-class.
The chemistry between the trio works like a well-coached midfield triad of differing skill sets.
I strongly suggest that anyone concerned with fairness in Scottish Football look at their latest content.
The very reasoned and measured Alan Morrison of Celtic By Numbers lays out the real significance of the Jota offside decision at Fir Park.
Moreover, his contention that “Resolution 12 was the smoking gun” is forensically unassailable.
Dear reader, if you want to drill down into the details, it is all here on the R12 archive.
Alan has enlisted an English referee who analyses Scottish officials, and that is published on his own site.
Here is the latest one.
Enda Coll, the journalist in the Huddle Breakdown trio, is entirely correct to call out the failure of the local media to hold the SFA to account.
James Daly, from across the Pond, can see clearly that the Fitba Fourth Estate are cowed by the need to maintain access.
Now, if only there was an independent journalist, ideally one accredited with UEFA and an NUJ member, who could investigate the SFA and keep at it.
Alan states that the Jota offside and, crucially, the SFA response to it is a Dougie Dougie moment for the digital age.
I concur.
My earnest hope is that some suitably learned person at Celtic is paying attention to this issue.

The SFA and the Celtic Board can’t be shamed into proper running of the game…. I have been going for almost 60 years and it’s always been like this.
Our Board is happy to do nothing, they were delighted the new club survived and won a title.
You’ve got to give the young ones a chance mate.
If you mean the likes of Nicholson and (Chris) McKay then no, they are not young ones in terms of the length they have been on the board.
Both of them and most (all?) of the rest have been around longer than is considered acceptable in terms of good corporate governance.
That is damning.
If former CEO Dominic McKay (no relation) had still been in place, even if nothing had changed, he may have still deserved the benefit of the doubt, that he was committed to modernisation.
As it is, we still have the same failing old corporate governance, that we’ve had for the previous 2 decades.
Here’s an interesting question….
How many of our supporters are strong critics of the Board….but still buy a Season Ticket and Merchandise?
The Defence rests it’s case M’Lud.
I know one thing, I live in Thailand, but if I was a season ticket holder, I would hand it in if ever Lawwell senior came back in any capacity. Also, I am of the belief that if all this nonsense of the past few weeks with the officials who operates VAR continues, we will be at great risk of losing Ange. I hope the board keep that in mind.
For some in authority, Sevco can not be allowed to go the same way as the original Ibrox club (dead). They are seen by these people to be a necessary financial entity in the world of Scottish football. I think all of this skullduggery we are seeing with VAR, lack of press scrutiny, lack of action from Celtic board etc. is to stop them imploding which will eventually put them out of the game at huge financial loss to the authorities. The whole thing is corrupt and stinks to high heaven. I’m not sure who’s behind all of this keeping Sevco afloat carry on, but I would hate to think Celtic are complicit in any way. The world would be a better place without any Ibrox tribute act.
Normally I would agree with most of that, however following the 5 way agreement, the rules contained in that piece of nonsense, changed the fact of death as we know it.
The newco can go into liquidation tomorrow under new laws, and come back as the same team the same night.
This is where the 5 way agreement made a mockery…not just of the law of the land…but of uefa laws and rules.
I think there is one thing we all have to remember. If RIFC did go into liquidation tomorrow and could not come back as another club, what would it do to the board members personal financial situation? As one poster correctly pointed out, they are politicians, and we all know how compatable politicians are where money is concerned.
I could have written that…Totally agree….Well done.
Before acting the Celtic board need a clear destination in mind. Sure the offside decision was debatable and the SFA response was laughable BUT what is the desired destination. An apology-never. A resignation -never. A confession-never. Action without a desired goal is pointless.
My total disappointment so far is that our board presently seem to be content to “ask the question” and simply accept the response.
I’ve stated many a time that my honest feeling is our board are fearful of taking action due to Desmond and Lawells involvement with the 5 way agreement.
The res 12 issue particularly showed how Lawell, in particular, led the res 12 guys down a road to a dead end….in my opinion a deliberate act to derail the res 12 issue…….
Many fans would be extremely agitated if it was actually proven our board “allowed” the orc teams survival myth by not stopping the 5 way agreement.
Moreover, the 5 way agreement broke every law of UEFA by its acceptance.
In my mind I have no doubts that the very men at paradise who wanted some form of rangers in business, by their own words…created the problem just as much as the 5 way agreement itself.
The Jota incident is one of several VAR matters that have Co.e to the forefront…but the SFA response, a lie in view of Motherwell further statement…..showed that protection of their cheating and bias officials, is foremost in their action.
Moreover, the actions of var and officials is now designed to help one team and hinder ourselves.
Penalties awarded against us….goals denied for us….and our free-flowing football being interrupted.
Our board….who’s job is to protect the club and its shareholders, are in danger of costing the club millions….because of their silence and acceptance.
Action of the highest level is needed….NOW
I agree 100%, and if the board allow all this to continue, we are going to lose Ange. Everyone please keep this in mind.
Very, very well written. Captures my own feelings in a nutshell.
Thank you….I believe there are a great many who feel this way.
I think it’s worse, the board are not content to “ask the question” but rather “ask the question” simply to tamp down the fans anger.
They “ask the question” quite often, when the fans anger erupt but never follow-up or publish inadequate responses, hoping it’ll all quieten down and, to be fair, that usually happens.
We all know the definition of stupidity but these aren’t stupid people.
Your correct.
They are not stupid people…they are politicians…playing to the gallery as they see fit.
The mere fact they are going to appoint Lawell back on the board, shows their contempt for us all
