Sevco Day

It is probably just an embarrassing coincidence.

However, I feel that I must bring your attention to the fact that the event tonight in Glasgow fell on the 10th anniversary of Sevco Scotland Limited finally being allowed into Scottish football.

As regular readers will know, there are very powerful vested interests who need to perpetuate the myth that Rangers survived in 2012.

Consequently, they would rather that all of Planet Fitba forget that the new club at Ibrox had to seek admittance into the professional game in Scotland.

No analysis, just amnesia.

The featured image is a reminder of what the supporters of the original Rangers were fearful of towards the end of season 2011-2012.

They knew that their club would be liquidated if a CVA were not granted.

At that time, no one in the stadium that Mr Bomber played for was fretting about an engine room subsidiary.

Of course, the succulent ones in the Stenography Corps quickly fell into line and started to perpetuate the survival myth.

In the decade since it has been the dividing line between journalists who are faithful to the truth and obedient hacks.

So, happy Sevco day to one and all.

  1. There seems to be the twilight Zone between all the Media to a man, reporting the liquidation and all the historical penances, to the survical. Even thought the club played under a new name for some matches and did not have a plying licence.
The sports desks stil have no recollection of their reporting in the summer of 2012

  2. The host and instigator, Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren : Ward: Canal(16) Party: Scottish National Party (SNP). Any Catholic or decent person voting for the SNP is the proverbial “Turkey voting for…” Hell mend you!

    • Absolute nonsense! I’m pro Scottish independence, the omnishambles of successive tory governments we’ve never elected, brexit, the cost of living crisis on the back of 12 years of austerity, isn’t that enough for you. Or is it the case that you put your faith in the Labour Party, Starmer’s right of centre, Union Jack waving, anti trade union, brexit party, with the millionaire Scottish leader who supports an orange order candidate in Lanarkshire, not the first time Labour has soiled itself with the orange order. BTW the same Annas Sarwar that had to be embarrassed into paying his workers minimum wages. “turkeys for Christmas”, deary me!

  4. Kinda disappointed at the lack of supporting video media outlining some of the contributions Rangers and The Rangers have made to the city. Thought of anyone has it you would.
