History takes a long time.
When the polity of Northern Ireland was set up, it excluded the part of Ulster where these words blink to life.
Sadly, the nine-county province simply had too many Taigs in it.
It was finally decided that the Six Counties, excluding Cavan, Donegal and Monaghan, would provide an ethno-religious majority in perpetuity.
Even the idea of a nice nationalist back of the bus types gaining control of the Northern legislature was an appalling vista.
The largest political party in the Pravnice is now Sinn Féin.
For those who fetishise Are Wee Cuntry, this must seem like the end of times.
Actually, it isn’t. It’s simply the onward march of progress.
Dear reader, Narne Arne was set up to exclude people like Michelle O’Neill from power.

Indeed, the organising principle of the entire polity was that people like her would be second class citizens in perpetuity.
Some of the Ulsturr Scatch who will arrive in Spain next week to watch the basket of assets at Seville will avoid the Brit queue at Malaga airports thanks to the fact that they are, for the purposes of international travel, Irish citizens.
It was recently announced that more Irish passports had been issued in the Six Counties than UK ones for the first time since the Belfast Agreement came into force.

Patricia’s piece is excellent, and it is still way too early to gauge what long term impact this will have on the Afrikaners of the North Atlantic.
They underpin their claim to be Bradaish by their imagined links to Scotland.
Well, those pesky elections also happened in Fair Caledonia, and it was more bad news for their precious Union.

So, how can the Ulsturr Scatch of the Six Counties remain Bradaish if there is no political entity called Britain?
When I look at this picture of Jim Allister, MLA seems to depict someone looking at the tide going out and refusing to accept it!

He refuses to recognise that he’s on the wrong side of history and beached by progress and social justice.
Allister is the solitary representative of the Traditional Unionist Voice (TUV).
He’s the full smorgasbord of resolute staunchness.
No surrender, not an inch.
You’ve met him.
When the Six-County statelet was set up, it was created to protect his world.
Now political Unionism will be put to the test.
Will they form an Exectuive with a Sinn Féin First Minister?
This is a situation they never ever thought they would have to face.
Consequently, DUP leader (for the moment) Jeffrey Donaldson will be leaning heavily on the wise counsel of his expert advisers.

This gives me hope for the future.
In reality, they are clinging to the memory of greatness.
Dear reader, the partition of this country was a crime imposed on the Irish people by the then preeminent superpower.
British Prime Minister David Lloyd George had who had threatened the Irish delegation with an “immediate and terrible war” if they did not sign.
It ushered in the tragedy of the Civil War, a conflict that scarred families and communities for generations.
Moreover, it also distorted our politics by giving the electorate in the 26 Counties two essentially identical centre-right parties as the only viable choice at the ballot box.
The smart money is on Sinn Féin winning the next election in this Republic.

It is a mark of shame that this state has yet to have a female Taoiseach.
That should be rectified at the next opportunity.
I suspect that Commander Data’s prediction will be out by a few years despite his exquisite algorithms.

Well, this is what you get when you allow Fenians to be screenwriters…

The voters in the neighbouring polity went to the polls on the anniversary of Óglach Bobby Sands MP.
As the results were starting to be called, I was walking up the bóithrín, and the Big Fella called me.
He was across all the possible psephological permutations, so I didn’t need to tell him anything about the election in the Six Counties.
I had sent him the picture of Jim Allister, which was why he was calling.
We indulged in an impromptu caption competition.
For the avoidance of doubt, his suggestions were of a much higher order than your humble correspondent.
It was great to hear his laughter, and it put a spring in my step as I got to the top of the hill.
The firstborn of my Gaeilgeoirí brood takes it all in his stride
As it became clear that the biggest party in the Six Counties was definitely going to be Sinn Féin, this Republican in Ulster was stung by a dark memory.
I will never forget exactly where I was and what I was doing that awful day in May 1981 when I heard that Bobby had finally died.

The dying MP said that “our revenge will be the laughter of our children”.
He was right.
Because there is no light pollution in this part of Dún na nGall, the night sky in the Derryveagh Mountains can be a wonder.
So I reckon that I’m well placed to see the rising of the moon.

What is it with the British State that they have to either manipulate Data or suppress it if it doesn’t present the Data that it requires ?
Fantastic Phil summed it up perfectly
