This could get very messy indeed.
Just in case, for some reason, this statement gets pulled down, here it is:
Rangers can confirm the Club will not be participating in the Sydney Super Cup in November 2022.
After it became clear the tournament organisers were unwilling to fulfil their commitments to Rangers, we have, with immediate effect, terminated the Club’s agreement with the organisers.
This is still up Down Under.

I understand that some tickets have already been sold.
Of course, this is the sort of news that the Ibrox klanbase wanted to hear before the derby match with the league leaders on Sunday.
Your humble correspondent will be quietly amazed if this one doesn’t end up in court.

Messy…
I must say, Mr King and his associates have played a blinder on this.
Addendum.
It looks as if the folks Down Under are coping rather well with the news that they will not be hosting the ten-year-old Ibrox club after all.

Winning friends on the journey…

I read somewhere that both Celtic and Sevco own the title “Old Firm” so it would be legal for the Australian organisers to use it. However, one of the firm is in the process of being put out of its misery and therefore the title has no basis in reality and therefore to publicise the match as such would be fraud, I would imagine.
One way around this would have been to use the term “The The Old Firm”.
As long as they are in more turmoil…I don’t care who caused it or why.
This is another step towards meltdown.
I’m loving it.
Any business person with half a brain would have paid a retainer up front with guarantees( with penalty clauses) Oh Dear, could be very dear.🤦💰💰💰
Let the Banter years recommence.😆😆
The first thought that came to mind was they were terrified of the actions the klanbase had in store for Sunday , the second thought was I wonder if they got Dave’s offer to fund the shortfall for withdrawal in writing and my final thought was how much interest will Dave claim the South African authorities will force him to charge. This may not be the return of “the banter years” this may be “the the banter years”
The vast majority of the good people of Sydney must be relieved there shall be no rampaging hordes of Sevconians causing carnage. Every cloud n aw that…..
You would think that Bisgrove should walk the plank for that embarrassing U-turn?
But it’s a great result for us.
Replace the Ibrox lot with an EPL / Championship team and everybody should be pleased.
And King will no doubt claim a victory over the Blue Room, and the PR mudslinging will continue?! 🙂
The story of contract adherence is central story to both entities of the companies that have emanated from ibrox….there must be a bluenose somewhere who works in contract law that could help them out
They signed up for this so what commitments to The Rangers do they feel the organisers are unwilling to meet? There doesn’t seem to be any complaints from Celtic about the organisers’ commitments to us.
I smell shite.
The legal profession must see the Ranjurs as the gift that keeps on giving. New songs for sevco fans “Law suits keep landing on my head…..” Or, ” we don’t fear more litigation…”
Why has this decision been taken? Hurt pride that they were getting less money than Celtic? The only way this makes business sense is of they can go somewhere else to generate loads of money (covering any amkunts they are liable for here).
“Unwilling to fill its commitments”? What commitments would those be I wonder. It seemed pretty uncomplicated to me: Come over here, play a few matches and earn more dosh than you would in a whole season in the SPFL.
The Rangers board, it would seem, is bowing to the wishes of their fans and it’s going to cost them a fortune.
Ah well, what a shame, never mind!
Nose of springs to mind !!!!!
I realize this question may seem a tad naive but, here goes, will the rangers EVER take responsibility for their own actions, yet again, it’s someone else’s fault.
Maybe Jack Sparrow will come back and take the ships wheel
