What Club 1872 knows about the club formed in 2012

Ask any journalist and they will tell you that they love a situation whereby two sides in a dispute start briefing against each other.

A split in a political party is a common scenario.

One faction wants to oust the leader and the regime loyalists go out into the media to front up for their boss.

Ideal!

Consequently, the Stenography Corps should be all over this statement from those steadfast chaps at Club 1872.

These allegations, in particular, leapt out at your humble correspondent:

Club 1872 also has documentary and other evidence that over the past two years, since the appointment of new Communications Director, David Graham, supporters have been regularly fed inaccurate information on issues ranging from player transfers, commercial activities and merchandise to shareholder relations.

Regular readers will know that at the time I looked into the real transfer fee for Nathan Patterson to Everton.

Follow follow the money.

My understanding is that the fantasy figure emerged from an unreliable dignified source who was involved with the infamous translategate fiasco involving Alfredo Morelos.

Once more, a functioning Fourth Estate would be all over this.

  1. Don’t you just love a good bun fight where one party is more deluded than the other but neither notices the truth in anything and those who do say nothing? It sits well with being dead and not knowing you are dead with your demise only being noticed by others, the same rule applies to stupidity and this lot have it in copious amounts.

So Club1872 have documentary evidence of falsehoods being fed to them over the past two years, being misled about transfers, commercial activities, merchandise and last but not least shareholder relations, (shock horror) how ironic and sad they have only taken a two year snap shot.

If Club1872 had bothered to look further back they would have found that they were getting misled a long time before Mr David Graham turned up on the marble steps that Craig once owned. If they cast their minds back to the dark debt laden and ruinous Minty days when tales of hovering pitches, roofed stadia with adjoining five star hotel accommodation, a casino complex and luxury residences for those upwardly mobile of the brethren not relying on the DWP they might ask themselves how truthful it all was, then again probably not.

But then when you are dealing with people who happily and honestly believe their team is the most successful in the world, better than all the rest they proclaim then you have to wonder what is the point in telling them anything, they are happy to live in the lie as long as it’s the right lie.

Case and point being, they are being liquidated as we live our lives right now, their own brethren even proclaimed back in 2012 that they had died but alas the news didn’t sink in to the thick boned heads of the diehard staunch mob. Remember how their friends in the press started with a local billionaire bluenosed chappie called Craig and made him front page, back page and middle pages news for weeks, all lies, but who is looking..

Remembering the front page news, with coffins and wreaths, proclaiming all is lost and how dead they were and yet no noise of lies coming from the staunch illiterates. Ironic really that they know themselves what happened but are content to believe and perpetuate the narrative coming from those gallant chaps at the top of the stairs that it never happened.

You would think surely the one blatantly obvious lie we know and there is no denying would be disbelieved but no they are happy to believe without question, why? Because it didn’t happen in their world and it’s the kind of lie (a comforting one) that they trade in.

Lies and Ibrox are to me are like the employer turning a blind eye to an activity so long it then gets regarded as a perk of the job. Club 1872 know fine well what is going on but still they prevaricate and keep shtum thus defeating themselves and their argument, they will find half-truths are valueless when you are trying to defeat professionals.

You wonder what those gallant pioneers back in 2012 would make of all this…

  2. Looks like all-out civil war in The Principality of Govania…

Now that Lord Hee-Haw has made his propaganda broadcast and weighed into the battle it should be very interesting for the rest of us watching on…. especially with the whole thing being aired in public.

    How undignified.

It will be hard for the Scottish sports media to miss..

    Won’t it?

  4. The irony is delicious.

Whilst foaming at the mouth at all those [us ?] ‘who conspired’ to have ‘Rangers demoted’ in 2012,

the bears are now hurling nasty accusations at each other.

But to be fair, they do actually have a common purpose which unites them: permarage ! 🙁

    • Give them time…. They are sure to be working on an explanation why it’s Celtic, the Vatican, Glasgow City Council and the SNP working together to undermine ‘ra mighty Gerz’ once again.

  5. I think the very first line of The Rangers statement means more than many initially realise!

“The rest of this season is arguably one of the most crucial periods in our illustrious 150 year history”.

“Most crucial”….or that 150 year history might become disputed.
    …Again!

  7. The infighting is lovely to watch. They’re so into the Glib they can’t see how much money the others like Park are about to lose after years of pumping money into the club .
