After the performance art at Dens at the weekend, I was not surprised that it was Statement O Clock at Ibrox today.
Now, just in case it is taken down at some future date here it is:
The rest of this season is arguably one of the most crucial periods in our illustrious 150 year history.
The Men’s First Team and Women’s Team are competing for major honours, both domestically and in Europe.
It is deeply regrettable that the same small rump of “supporters” remains intent on causing damage to our club. It is particularly concerning to note the timing they have chosen to launch their latest attack.
It is lost on nobody that those intent on creating maximum disruption are those who have either enjoyed, or craved, a role within our club.
The collective desire of our Board, Management and players, is to have unity of purpose over the coming months. Rest assured, we will address the disruptors and their propaganda war at the end of this season.
For now, nothing matters but results on the field.
Together, we are stronger.
If there was a functioning journalism on Planet Fitba then this work experience effort would be torn to shreds.
Indeed, the forensic eviscerating would commence on the first line.
“…150 year history…”
Since the Herald put this together in June 2012 the chaps on the sports desks at the Newsquest titles have been following the continuation myth with a religious fervour.

Some of them might actually believe in transclubstantiation.
Despite that, across the Stenography Corps, there are a few who privately admit that it leads to a quieter life if they just pretend that Rangers didn’t go through anything existential in the summer of 2012.
Of course, any genuine journalist might want to ask why the fans at Ibrox were so exercised when the original Rangers were in administration.
That is the featured image in this piece.
Where those poor dears at Ibrox all upset over a holding company vehicle?
Or was it an engine room subsidiary?
Like everything else out of Ibrox, this entire statement can only be explained unless you follow follow the money.
The disruption was about her proposed sojourn to Australia.
It is undeniable that many of the Ibrox klanbase are upset about being the support act to Ange’s homecoming tour.
Especially as there are persistent rumours that Celtic are receiving substantially more from the organisers.
I had initially dismissed this as mere spin from the folks at Parkhead to make the entire endeavour more palatable to their own fans who were repelled by the Old Firm package being sold furth of Scotland.
I’m now convinced that the Ibrox club is receiving less than a third of what their city neighbours are getting for participating in this tournament.

This obviously places the Sevco High Command in a difficult situation.
Today I had it confirmed to me from two independent sources, who have no connection with each other, that there is a punitive break clause in the Sydney Super Cup contract.
Indeed, it was stated to me by these two individuals that if anyone were to Do Walking Away then the penalty would be greater than the original fee.
It is this difficulty that the ex-chairman has seized upon.
Hence the reference to :
“It is lost on nobody that those intent on creating maximum disruption are those who have either enjoyed, or craved, a role within our club.” [my emphasis].
This statement was clearly a response to this one earlier in the day from those gallant chaps at Club 1872.
It does all feel a bit like early 2015.
There is one major difference and that’s the fact that Mr King is not looking to take over the club this time.
Now, he just wants someone to buy his shares.
I believe that the upset over the Australian trip has given him an opportunity to put pressure on the board.
My information is that the contracts for the Sydney Super Cup were signed in London and some monies have already been paid upfront.
Spare a thought, if you would, for the Serious Professional.
He’s trying to pour oil on troubled waters in the Blue Room.
Sadly, there are others who do not have his diplomatic approach to such thorny matters.
For the avoidance of doubt, there is a real story here about what is happening behind the scenes at Ibrox.
However, succulent rules remain in place for the local media.
It should not take a card-carrying journalist in another country to be providing this news service.

It reveals a lot about yourself with whom you chose to go on “holiday”.
Firmly ensconced on “HMS Old Firm”, the Celtic board, free from the mast, sway to the siren song of the “filthy lucre” and rather than jump ship and without moral compass, manage to steer the ship onward, replete with a compliment of the most unsavoury characters. God help the “Antipodes” as these are no downtrodden, falsely-accused and starving souls who used to make that journey in the past.
Tranclubstantiation – simply genius. Chapeau.
The problem with pouring oil on troubled waters down Ibrokes way is, there’s always someone with a spare match ready to set fire to it.
Subterfuge at Ibrokes?
And not a mention of the Celtic boards inexplicable and unforgivable defibrillator moment in giving them an opportunity to breath air for the rest of the season with the deposit banked.
The Celtic board are true believers in the Old Firm brand.
It is their entire business plan.
Sadly I have to totally agree with your statement.
The Celtic Board has proved time and time again…that the O.F. brand is a priority.
Never mind a ” bent” fixture list…Never mind “bent” SFA officials…Never mind ” bent ” referees and assistants…Never mind a sycophantic Scottish Media…who “bend” and “distort ” the narrative at any given opportunity to suit the Govan Club.
And don’t get me started on Res. 12.
No…These things are merely an irritant and an irrelevance ….
Cash is King.
Long live the King.
Dear God, no!
Not ANOTHER court case for the dodgy Ibrox club? 🙂
