Preparing the Ibrox klanbase for the Malmo Effect

You can definitely spot spin if you have spent a few decades in the newspaper business, especially in politics and current affairs coverage.

One subsection of the PR dark arts is often referred to as “news management”.

Governments and large organisations use this to prepare their audience when they know that some serious excrement is coming down the pipe.

As my previous reports have stated in the aftermath of the Malmo match, the Sevco High Command went into a crisis conclave.

Now the Ibrox klanbase have to be prepared for key players being sold.

Mr Gerrard was certainly on message today.

The irony of all of this is that there might be no buyers for his charges.

If that is the situation when the transfer window closes, then the Blue Room chaps will have to cover the losses once more.

This is what happens to a loss-making business without a credit line from a bank.

Dear reader, we have not yet seen the main implications of the Malmo Effect.

  1. There’s more dark money at this klub than a Tory donor fundraiser. That’s where the real story is. Why are Sevco being given a free pass regarding their accounts? It’s because they are being allowed by a spineless media and a corrupt footballing authority. Two things could sink the good ship Sevco though, two entities that won’t be discouraged from collecting their debt.
Mr Mike Ashley and the HMRC. Squeaky bum time for the klan.

  2. There’s is no Dermot Desmond with a vested interest in The 2angers International they chased the last two legitimate Billionaires up the road first was Buffalo Bill Miller then of course Generally Ashley who is as we know awaiting yet more meat off the bone at Ayebrokes.
No all they attract are car dealers and venture vultures interested only in what they can get and not in what they can give.
If the Accounts are as big a train wreck as many believe post a financial Season from hell then the loss of that Champions League bounty is a crushing blow to a financial approach evidently based solely upon accessing it.
I firmly believe that the genuine wealth of the radar Desmond has his sights firmly fixed on denying them next Seasons guaranteed bounty.
He unlike them has the wealth to rebuild Celtic without pause for breath and I believe is in the process of doing exactly that.
The arrivals of Hart and McCarthy must have sent a ripple of concern through the Ayebrokes money men and given the fact the other signings have also hit the ground running will only add to that.
It will not have gone unnoticed that the free flowing attacking style of Postecoglou has our attack transformed from the previous Seasons.
The movement and speed of our attack will have them more than a bit concerned,Chuck in a 6’4” striker of the ilk of Tam Henry then there will be a genuine fear among them that they cannot sustain any dominance on the Domestic front.
Adding quality to a defence in front of a keeper of Harts ability will have them concerned also.
Any dropped points before the first meeting of the two will only add more pressure to a side already struggling to perform in front of their rabid Support.
Those who believe there is a bottomless pit at Ayebrokes are seriously deluded you only need to look around Europe right now to see the carnage Covid has caused much bigger outfits than them.
For the record Celtic posted a profit last Season and didn’t use their overdraft facility nor did we go cap in hand to Sturgeon for an interest free loan to keep the lights on and the showers warm.
They haven’t posted a penny in profit in 9 years and are now likely to post a record loss in 10.
    Kenco time … ☕️

  3. HMS Sevco is not a ship thats hit a sandbank, its been taking on water for so long that more and more hull and bilge pumps have kept the rising waters from breaching the safe level.
The Malmo just put a huge torpedo hole in the hull and all the water pumps in the world cant keep her afloat….

HMS Sevco now must lose ballast to keep that torpedo hole above the water line whilst running the water pumps at full capacity while the damage control crew try to repair the damage…..or she will sink to a watery grave forever.

I forsee administration….unless just one creditor refuses to accept……then its liquidatuon.

They have never learned the lesson over at MORDOR….the lesson of the first rangers…….but then again…all they wanted to do was stop 10…..

Like everything, they dont pay and gamble time and time again that things will work out

Malmo have wrote off their survival plans tbis time…..so grab the lifebelts and man the lifeboats….the ships about to be scuppered by the ruthless board…or sink into years of oblivion

  4. Karma has already determined when the 9 year old Ibrox club will – eventually, finally – hit the buffers.

…it’s when HMRC comes calling for those payment arrears… 🙂

      • Everyone knows that when it comes to football matters many a hard headed businessman has let his heart rule his head.

However, if Hector is due £10m, and other considerable sums are also coming down the pipeline, then we are now, I personally believe, coming to a point where guys like Park will say enough is enough. They are issuing shares, that only the directors are now buying, which are quite literally not worth the paper they’re written on.

These guys are wealthy individuals but they are NOT billionaires with wealth off the radar. I cannot see men who have spent there lives amassing wealth simply throwing the lot down the drain. Which is what they’ve being doing since they took over.

The business model that Sevco’ve been operating since Chuckles Greene walked in the door is simply NOT sustainable in the long term. I’m actually astounded they’ve lasted this long.

Ironically, if these guys who have been keeping the club alive for years, DO decide enough is enough, the orcs will turn on them with a vengeance.

        • Park will have enough problems with his own business with new car sales at a historic low but hey, hang on, is that Craig Whyte marching down Edmiston Drive to the rescue?

          • New car sales are low just now but that’s because of supply problems. Used car sales are through the roof.

Whatever. When pumping in millions changes to pumping in TENS of millions, then it’s a real rise in the level of commitment required by everyone. That’s why I personally believe they really could be approaching the end game this time.

To think that they could have had the club for £6m if they’d got themselves organised 9 years ago.

I STILL wish Ashley was completely out of the picture.

    • They are not in danger at all as long as the Board cover losses. Player sales will help reduce the deficit. This is clearly their plan.

  5. I said a while ago that the Malmo game was one of the most crucial this season for sevco 2012 and for celtic fc .
,after what was witnessed in 2011 /12

It defined sevco’s player strategy for the season ahead and the loss of that revenue stream leaves them and SG in a dilemma.
do I stick or do I twist ‘
    interesting times ahead

  6. Not good news for our game if so.
The only lessons learned in governance from Rangers going bust where: ‘how to make liquidation palpable’.

  8. I would pay and be happy if Celtic bought these frankly….
    Morelos Kent 10m+
    Barasic Tavernier Goldson 5m
Plus others for less. Kamara Aribo etc
    They have plenty to sell.
Winning the league made these players much more valuable.
