Planted stories and a red card offence

Over the past week, I have noticed several shills within the Stenography Corps heap praise on Sevco’s diversity and inclusion credentials.

I’ve enjoyed reading quite a few planted stories that tried to push an alternative narrative.

For the avoidance of doubt, that is an alternative to the truth.

My enjoyment came from the fact that these pieces were so transparently obvious.

This PR counteroffensive was to be expected after the shameful chaos of George Square.

Especially when the Scottish Government has been calling out the Ibrox klanbase for anti-Catholic and anti-Irish racism.

The chaps in the Blue Room know that the rioters in George Square are the very chaps who are most likely to buy season tickets and merchandise.

So the Sevco High Command have little choice but to, in any way that they can, defend the…ahem…revellers of George Square.

However, when you are firefighting a problem, you need the universe to give you some respite as you try and put out the flames.

Therefore, I suspect that the news today about Sevco’s starlet Christopher McKee , currently on loan with Brechin City, would be unwelcome in the Blue Room.

The player was sent off in a match against Kelty Hearts.

Apparently, his red card offence was for using “foul and abusive language of a homophobic nature”.

Perhaps the lad just didn’t manage to attend the Everyone Anyone workshop on homophobia.

That’s just a guess…

  1. Your point is well made. However football as a whole has a homophobia issue. We’re still talking about Justin Fashanu. The number of players there are worldwide and we’re to believe none of them are gay? The attitude within football is contributing to their feeling unsafe to be open. This Red card for homophobic language is a pleasant step forward at tone setting.

  3. While I in no way condone the any racist/sectarian behaviour, the Stenography Corp have this week regurgitated the stories if Mark Walters who signed for Rangers THIRTY FOUR years ago. Victims indeed
