I came to this sad conclusion when I started to cover the impending financial tsunami that would eventually sink Rangers (Est 1872) nine years ago.
The entire saga that saw Rangers quietly passed away in 2012 could largely be laid at the door of the chaps in Hampden.
Had proper oversight been in place, David Murray would have never sailed so perilously close to the wind.
Having failed to make sure that Scottish football was not a rigged game, they then gave the keys of Ibrox to Charlie and the boys, including a chap on Interpol’s most-wanted list.
Of course, in 2012, it was only a football club that died.
However, Covid regulations are in place to prevent human beings from dying.
Even the Fitba Fourth Estate didn’t seem to get this at the start.
Sadly, this is something that the Brits generally haven’t really grasped.
I do not think that is unconnected to the fact that the UK has the highest death toll from the pandemic in all of Europe with 120,580.
By comparison, with a population of 83m (UK ha 66.66m), Germany has a Covid death toll of 68,463.

At the time of writing the SFA have yet to raise charges or even make a work experience statement regarding Sevco’s five party animals.
This in stark contrast to what they did apropos Edmundson and Jones in November.
It’s almost as if they are making it up as they go along.
As in 2012, the SFA has demonstrated that they are not fit for purpose.

Phil you are believing fake news if you think the UK has the highest death toll. The only reason the numbers are high is the counting system. Deaths from any cause after a 28 day test is just scaremongering. Yes people are dying from Covid but not anywhere near as many as the government want the people to believe.
If you test positive for Covid, you self isolate for 10 days, why then count cases after 28 days? People die every day, it’s a fact of life. When was the last time anyone died from Heart failure, stroke or even Flu? Every death the BBC report is down to Covid and that is a lie.
What I can’t understand is the 2 players back in November had apparently been at Scott Airfields birthday party before the police gave them fixed fines. Then the Rangers made a statement a few weeks later to that effect. So what makes Airfields party any different from anyone else’s and why has nothing not been said about this gathering which is breaking covid rules.
