Victory for the Rebel Alliance in Paisley

I think it is fair to say that this was not the result that Mr Let’s Go expected when he opened his klanvent calendar yesterday morning.

It also seemed to take the courageous journalists of the Fitba Fourth Estate by surprise.

Apparently, Mr Gerrard’s inter-galactic galacticos were blessed with opponents who were not “smart” enough to defeat them.

With Celtic stumbling to Ross County in the previous round the klan believed that their time had come.

Trebles are hard things to achieve.

Celtic have done it three seasons on the bounce and I believe that that in itself is a historic achievement.

That one of them was achieved without a single defeat is remarkable and should not be underestimated.

Perhaps Mr McCann, an EBT recipient, will wish to revaluate his opinion.

Meanwhile, there is another treble possible for Celtic and the match on Sunday against Hearts holds out that possibility.

Of course, it’s always good to see your own doing well in Britain.

These two young Irishmen were clearly using the force against the Ibrox “Death Star”.

Perhaps these words of the Sevco captain from last season are worth looking at again.

Undoubtedly, the Sevco players have benefited this season from not being in close proximity to the Ibrox klanbase.

I get that.

I really do…

The hilarious events in Paisley almost certainly overshadowed this highly important story.

The entire Sevco car boot sale story from 2018 hasn’t gone away you know.

It is another legacy issue from Mr King’s reign of error in the Blue Room.

Indeed, the  RIFC AGM was a target-rich environment for any self-respecting member for the Fitba Fourth Estate.

Instead, the usual suspects begged for succulent scraps.

The Dave King story should be pursued relentlessly.

As with all good things apropos Ibrox, it is necessary to follow follow the money.

In the coming period will the klan send their cash to Johannesburg or Govan?

That is what is currently concentrating dignified minds in the Blue Room at the moment.

For the avoidance of doubt, the following this is courageous journalism.

The chaps on the sports desks in Glasgow need not apply as they cannot even admit that a football club at Ibrox died in 2012.

In the meantime, Mr Gerrad has yet to win a trophy in Scotland.

  1. Hi Phil…
Working on the premise that Roger Mitchell reads your blog….can I send him this wee message…?
Roger… I read your article where you said that St. Mirren’s victory over Sevco would please the support so much….that it would take the heat away from the Board.
Well I can only speak for this Celtic man when I say…
Irrespective of the situation…I was always pleased and happy whenever the old Rangers got beat…and the same thing applies to Sevco….I absolutely love it when they lose…and that will never change.
That, however, will not blind me to the fact that the Board has been asleep at the wheel for too long…appears to be covering up unacceptable ” historical ” decisions …and basically takes the ” faithful through and through brigade ” for granted.
So please allow me to wallow in their “Treble doon the stank again ” misery…while never forgetting…we need change at the top.
    Hail hail

  2. Brought to my attention that the sevcovites hadn’t a sponsor on their tops on Wednesday night when they got knocked out of the cup (open top bus reversing into the garage ) surely this is worthy of a mention in the SMSM ? Nope not a jot !!

  3. Remember everyone, FOUR full years of Celtic’s trophies shouldn’t count because without “Rangers” there was no “serious opposition.” Yet during those four years other teams in Scotland won trophies.

Somewhere along the line there appears to be a wee logic failure. Since the “serious opposition” appeared on the scene in August 2016 NO ONE else has won ANYTHING.

Now, well into the fifth year of “serious opposition” Celtic will relinquish one of the trophies. NOT alas, to the serious opposition.

  4. For me r*ngers encountered their first piece of bad luck this season when Andrew Dallas didn’t make kickoff as he injured his hamstring at the warm up. Significant on the game’s outcome last night? I believe so. Hats off to St Mirren but I’m sure there would have been a few influential moments from the man in black to ensure the stuffing and belief was knocked out of the Buddies- Just a thought. Roll on some more of the same luck.
