Do rules apply to anyone at Ibrox?
Genuine question.
Firstly, a hat tip to the Daily Radar for a proper exclusive by Keith Jackson shining a light on the basket of assets.

Truly, we are in the end of days.
I’m glad that Keith finally got with the programme and realised that pandemics are gravely serious matters.

If there is anyone at Holyrood who wanted an excuse to postpone the new league campaign, then it has just been handed to them.
The head of the World Health Organisation stated at the start of this pandemic that government should do one thing above all others:
“Test test test!”
The news that up to NINE Sevco players took part in a bounce game without medical clearance is appalling.
However, I can’t say that I’m surprised by this…err…lapse.
If anyone club were going to cross a line, it would be Sevco.
Since the new entity was created from the body parts of Rangers in 2012, the old Blue Room hubris has been in evidence.
Rules are for little people, not The People.

However, this is way more important than a dignified match official deciding that the playing field is a bit too level as Stevie G’s Gumtree Galacticos are struggling to get a result.

No, this IS serious.
Usually, the hubris that seeps from Ibrox like a suppurating wound is not a matter of life and death.
However, this is the Five Way Agreement meets Contagion.

Covid19 is not a hoax, and people should treat the public health effort with deadly seriousness.
Consequently, the SFA are also in the dock if they give Sevco a pass on this.
For the avoidance of doubt, in other football jurisdictions, they do things properly.

If the rules are not for everyone, then they are no rules.

Hopefully, that is something that the folks on the 6th floor at Hampden can finally grasp.
Some cynic might conclude that it will eventually emerge in time that the Sevco players were only “imperfectly tested”.
I, of course, couldn’t possibly comment.

Did the Scottish and UK Govt get this story and the London media? Was it on Sky News?
This scandal is evidential of what we all know, there is very poor leadership at Ibrox.
The decisions made there are appalling. Incompetence reigns.
Yet the buffoons regard it as good leadership, decisive and sound. Our guys don’t have covid test results and nobody knows if they have covid or not. Should we play? Incompetent Rangers Leader: “who gives a fuck? We are the Rangers, play on, nothing stops us”
Sack the Clown and issue an apology.
After testing, how many of the nine tested positive?
Here in Melbourne we are back in lockdown because of a virus that, by the hugely conflicted WHO’s own numbers, 99% of people will experience mild symptoms & 99.85% of all infected will recover! It may not be fake but it most certainly inflated and riddled with motives unseen. 95-98% of all deaths are of 80+ year olds and of anyone younger they ALL have comorbidities! For someone so questioning of all in ‘planet fitbaw’ your critical eye seems somewhat cloudy on this matter
Terencenova, you write about how you decided to take a stand and have given up your season ticket due to your interpretation of the actions of the Celtic board, fair enough,we’re all entitled to an opinion but, when you add in the line” some of us have principles”, you immediately offer a judgement upon everyone else who renewed their season ticket,by your own admission, you are saying they are without principles and putting yourself on a pedestal, quite frankly, how dare you,I know a great many people who have renewed, each one a very fine Celtic supporter, you have absolutely no right whatsoever to consider them less” principled” than yourself.I suggest you take some of your new found free time and reflect on your attitude toward your one time fellow supporters,in the meantime,I and all the many thousands of less “ principled” fans will just get on with the wonderful pleasure of watching our beloved Glasgow CELTIC.
If you’re happy and content with everything Edward…then that’s the main thing.
Enjoy your season.
Hail hail.
The head of the WHO stated at the start of this pandemic that…
That will be the same WHO who sat on the outbreak for weeks whilst the Chinese sat on the revelation that a disease that had infected 40 people and could not be transmitted from human to human then suddenly spread to 800 and COULD be spread from Human to Human whilst the Chinese New Year Holidays simultaneously kicked in and around 7 million commuters travelled through Wuhan (The Central Transport Hub of China) En route to destinations EVERYWHERE.
It took the WHO a further 3 weeks to call it a PANDEMIC.
By which point 100 Countries had known cases.
You can’t call it a pandemic until it is. WHO called a health emergency late January. Uk were close to 2 month’s late to the party, Trump even later (Vaccine, bleach etc), He and Botis have killed tens of thousands. The WHO send out early warnings but to stress a pandemic is a bit of a bigger concern.
The WHO like China sat on it for weeks.
It was already in more than half the Countries on earth by the time it was called a Pandemic.
China’s figures are still low.
With a name like Cyan Bacteria and content of your posts I wonder who’s side you are on during this pandemic (humans or the virus🤔)
Without Cyanobacteria there would be no humans.
At last a humorous response😂.
Good scientists evaluate available data and amend advice accordingly.
Latest science shows the benefits of mask wearing in reducing transmission – especially from mask wearer to others.
Jackson has went full circle here. From mock to shock. Maybe if he’d have got a question in like: do you need help with testing? Surely to God we can’t mess about here. We’ve sacrificed far too much. Other associations will think twice about allowing travel to our grounds.
No statement, no guidance. Chancers them all lads.
This absolute beggars belief. The regulations are very clear: no matches should take place unless all participants have received negative Covid-19 tests. No exceptions.
TRFC should be aware of this regulation unless they are extremely stupid which is possible but I think not. The only conclusion that can be reached is that they totally disregarded these rules and in doing so put others’ health at risk. A heavy punishment should follow.
“Imperfectly Tested”
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
First of all, the answer to your opening question is ‘No, rules do not apply to anybody at Ibrox’.
I believe Mr Jackson’s tweet offers demonstrative evidence of his bias. Had the word ‘Rangers’ been replaced with Celtic, Aberdeen, Motherwell etc, then I don’t think his comment would have been “More bad news”. It is only bad news to this churnalist because it could have a negative impact on his beloved bigots.
They will as a matter of course do their best to collapse this season. If they are 6 or 7 points behind behind by Christmas or earlier, they will have covid positive players imperfectly registered, to get “docked” the points to spin it to the Klan, they were kept down by the unseen fenian hand.
Even if they are top of the league and can suspend the season, at stage due to “another” team being cover positive, for the fear of the public they will spin it that way…..they do not, as they will show, have a squad that can go the distance. Even an extra 3 or 4 loans at their disposal. So they will not want to risk been beaten on the park to 10.
They know, they are done and Sevie G is not the man. Gary Mac sent out to handle Kent’s red card…..just the beginning.
Celtic should lease their testing program, to the other teams outwith sevco and county (who have their own). Celtic must hit the ground running even just grind it out, and build momentum. A Forster type goalie, even Barkas, 6ft 5, and that will be worth 15 points. we must be top incase they completely shut the league or do their best to make sure that happens.
They will pull every trick in the book this season we must challenge them everytime that DUP racist spins the narrative He should be met with:
Where’s the audited accounts? Where is the Elite? Where is Hummel? Where is Big Mike? Where is memorial? where is the dossier? Why are you accepting £5million for Duffalo? Have the SFA seen audited accounts for your European license? How much is the interest on the dave king loan? Why are you not testing for Covid as much as Celtic? Have you paid the players their deferred wages? Why is your everyone anyone campaign not being adhered to by your own fan base? Why won’t you condone KKKlub 2012 ? where is your January investment? and so on……..
‘Condemn’ ?
@Pat Nevin’s Barnet That was a typo and you are correct…I was typing to quickly.
They will get away with anything they can, they started off last year, with sectarian and racist singing, crushing disabled seating, partial stadium closures, signing £7million players whilst probably insolvent, opposition red cards and stonewall penalties denied…..all went for them to clock up 6s,5s,4 goals a game.
They won their 5 of 6 pre season matches with a goal rate of 14-1 ….. this was their year……then French Eddy and Johnny Hayes turned up and showed them Neil Francis Lennon will make sure they will see 10iaRa.
You’ve gIt that wrong Eamon it’s 10 i a r.
Roll up roll up Gullibillies. We must back Stevie to stop the ten. Buy your season ticket, buy the merchandise, In reply your most illustrious Board will bring in Leon Balogun, a 32yo free transfer, who has never commanded a fee in his career. Having been a dud most of his career and released from clubs and had a status of no club a few times, This is how we intend to stop the Ten ya mugs.
Stump up big money, get bottom of the barrel in return.
We spent it all trying to stop nine. We owe £55m. What do u expect?
Is Keith going honest on covid tests in protest to Balogun? Like a moaning fan? Or is it a squirrel to distract from more important bollocks?
The Radar now views itself as the twister of SEVCO Owners arms to wring as much cash out of them as possible for the club.
Clearly Park has tightened his purse and not contributing his own wealth to buying players.
The Radar will publish honest truths until he sees the error of his ways.
This is a shocking and interesting development.
Regardless of who is actually at fault – whether club, players, match officials, SPFL, SFA or a combination – it clearly implies one, rather damaging observation.
If Scottish football can’t protect its own players then it simply cannot protect the supporters inside a stadium.
And IF this story is correct, then any repercussions will presumably apply to all 42 clubs, and not just TRFC.
Ironically, all other 41 clubs accepted TRFC in 2012 – and since.
As a belated, wee gesture of gratitude, TRFC could be responsible for increased and/or extended restrictions on match day revenues for those 41 clubs.
The clubs, SPFL and SFA deserve each other.
The paying punters deserve much, much more… 🙁
Punishment to be… play the 1st 4 games behind closed doors.
“Consequently, the SFA are also in the dock if they give Sevco a pass on this.”
Phil, you know as well as the rest of us that this will end with a slap on the wrist and a, ‘Don’t do that again you naughty bears!’
They got what amounted to a slap on the wrist when they were found guilty of – and I quote (roughly) – ‘a crime one step down from match fixing!’
It’s all very predictable.
This is normally what happens when Rangers break rules:
https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sfa-declare-rangers-resolution-12-22052694
Even with David Murray admitting under oath in the High Court that the wee tax case money was overdue.
Celtic FC must take the SFA to court to force the SFA to take the case and damning evidence to CAS.
The SFA used COVID19 lockdown to release their disgraceful decision back in May. Time for CFC to act.
Sorry to disappoint you…but Celtic FC will NOT get involved in this …they are up to their neck in shady and complicit deals and they cannot wait for this to go away.
The way they have refused to handle it is shameful…and, as a result, I have decided to do ” walking away “.
Do I regret giving up my SB when we are going for history…??…Not a chance…some of us have principles.
As for Sevco and any potential punishment re. Covid 19 testing…
For over 100 years, Sevco and the former Club known as Rangers …have controlled the game in Scotland by Masonic and Establishment connections…and nothing will change.
When one of the biggest scandals in British sporting history can be swept under the carpet by the use of the words…
“Imperfectly Registered “…then you know where you stand.
We mere mortals can scream and shout all we like…but when our Club… the biggest Club in Scotland…. turns a blind eye to rule breaking on a massive scale…then what chance do we have ?
On the ball as ever Phil, you should give someone else a kick, right on his jackass seems apt🍀
Cannae get ma heid roon sevco no abiding by the rules n regs, you sure you’ve got that right?😇
Difficult to understand because one assumes they are human themselves but disregard for human life is not a new thing with Ibrox powers-that-be.
This following the Ibrox disaster of 1971.
So far as the evidence is concerned, the Board never so much as considered that it ought to apply its mind to the question of safety on that particular stairway […] and would appear – I put it no higher – to have proceeded on the view that if the problem was ignored long enough it would eventually go away […] Indeed it goes further than this because certain of their actions can only be interpreted as a deliberate and apparently successful attempt to deceive others that they were doing something, when in fact they were doing nothing.
— Sheriff Irvine Smith, damages statement.
Phil, why did the match official allow the game to go ahead. Surely the ref should not let anyone play unless he had seen the negative test results for all players.
But. But, but Timmy, the Advertising Standards Agency said it was ok.
And Big Mike wants to sell, sell, sell our (ok his) new strips.
Orange away top anyone…….
