I have just learned that Statement O’clock should have been a bit earlier yesterday.
However, my information is that the first draft wasn’t nearly opaque enough!
Now, the intrepid chaps in the Stenography Corps might be willing to take Sevco statements at face value, but I can’t go there.
Consequently, I have continued to dig today.
I have been assured that if the Sports Direct claim is erroneous, then they are in serious legal trouble.
“New Rangers Kit lands exclusively at Sports Direct 1st August.”
That is clear and unambiguous.
However, is it true?
I finally caught up with a Shirebrook source today, and he was somewhat coy about the whole affair.
However, he did say is that the Facebook post wasn’t a mistake; rather, it was:
“A gentle reminder to all of the parties about the realities of the deal”.
It is worth noting that the Castore deal happened when Mr David Cunningham King left the building.
Before that, Sevco had been on the receiving end of several courtroom batterings from General Ashley’s legal crew.
You may recall that before the Blue Room coup, which ousted Mr King that the commercial manager at Sevco was forced to advertise in the media for a kit supplier.

A rather bizarre state of affairs!
One possible explanation to all for this is that the Sevco High Command made peace with Big Mike after the Convict Chairman left the Blue Room.
My take is that it was very much, to use a King euphemism in “favourable settlement” territory, i.e. unconditional surrender.

However, in order to sell it to their klanbase, the Sevco High Command had to trumpet it as yet another massive victory over Ashley-just like in 2017.

Plausible?
Developing story.

It’s just dawning on the dumbest fans in the world that their board has once again fed them a pack of lies.
Sports Direct has not left the building and will be punting the Castore Rangers gear through their high street outlets on launch day.
What date will the work start to lower the pitch level and put those thousands of extra seats in? It must be true, it was in the newspapers!
Castore received a £7.5 million investment in February from an unnamed invester… Wonder who that could be? #castore have more secrets than the masons!
I think it’s simple. Sevco get in a bind because no kit supplier will touch them. SDI secretly offer a deal. They will take over Castore and Sevco will contract them. SDI have matching rights, which they won’t excercise against themselves.
After all, they still want to sell Sevco gear to the most gullible fans in the world. They may even take a minimal settlement for THAT High Court win.
Hell, they might even let DK return under the guise of the Greatest Strategic Retreat Since Dunkirk.
It’s not personal, it’s business.
When the shit hits the fan
And Mike Ashley’s your man
That’s Castore.
When the huns start to whine

Union jacks, orange taps, Raynjurz tat
It’s so easy to sell them.
If they don’t suspect we could be Sports Direct
We won’t tell them.
If your clients are ghouls
Who are easily fooled
That’s Castore.
If they walk down the street,
Knuckles down by their feet
They are huns.
If they follow a team built on moonbeams,
Are thick and vote Tory,
‘Scuse me but you see
They deserve Mike Ashley
And Castore.

Phil have you any idea what has become of the court action against sevco by SDI for breach of contract ? As you know, it was understood that liability had been established and the only question outstanding was how much sevco would have to pay. Sevco had argued that under the terms of the contract claims were restricted to £1m but the judge had hinted that he didn’t agree with that. This case seems to have disappeared off the radar.
Phil; just curious your take on whether King is maybe still hanginging around like a bad smell? I mean, who’s to say he has actually stepped down and isn’t pulling strings from Suf Afrika. He is still the biggest shareholder I believe, as well as a creditor who appears to have some sort of security on something important to them. Is it possible he is playing everyone for mugs? How can anyone be sure….
Where does this leave the litigation from last seasons carry on ? It wasn’t just King who planned the coup to unseat Ashley , the 3 bears were also complicit in the skullduggery and I doubt Ashley has forgotten or forgiven them.
All this furore over what is a truly minging tap that looks as if a 5 year-old designed with his new crayons. HH
Old tops in Big Mike’s warehouse flew to Turkey to be modified ?🤔😂😂
Absolutely plausible. But they new whatever deal was announced they had to make it seem like MA wasn’t involved. That way they knew their gullible fans wouldnt cause a fuss when it was time to stump up for season books or buy merchandise. So they found a small company and pretended they had struck a megadeal. Meanwhile MA simply went in and bought a majority stake in the company. Job done and everyone makes money!
It is plausible. Looking at Rangers statement that “Castore will form a number of wholesale arrangements with high street retailers in the UK and overseas”, Ashley seems to be saying that the number is actually one – SD.
Clearly there must be form of written statement to that effect.
