It is something of a tradition now on Planet Fitba that Sevco always wins the Close Season Cup.
No other club no matter how well resourced can get near them on this one.
There are several reasons for this unrivalled record of success, and one of them is the Record.
Other stenography outlets are available.
This year Covid19 has created an extended hiatus in the football calendar.
Consequently, there are more empty weeks for the Ibrox klanbase to fantasise about future glory.
Sadly, for them, the triumphs are always in the future.
This has been the lot of the Ibrox klanbase since the historic events of 2012.
The rest of us can see this for what it is, a Sisyphean task where the befuddled participants in this cruel pursuit push on regardless fuelled by Deludamol.

The Ibrox klanbase also won the Irony Cup once more.
Today those delicate souls at the Vanguard Bears had to reach for the smelling salts as they wilted under the allegation that they might be a teeny bit racist.

The poor, poor dears…
I was not surprised when Fitba Twitter was on hand delve into a rich archive of screengrabs.
Here is just a selection:

For the foreseeable future, it looks as if football stadiums in Scotland will be empty.
That means that Ibrox will be empty.
I prefer it that way.
When that venue is full, it nails the comforting lie that the Fenian blood waders are a tiny unrepresentative minority of Sevco’s dignified clientele.
Moreover, very few are ever brought to book for their hate speech.
They appear to revel in this herd impunity.

Moreover, they have been bequeathed these antibodies from previous generations in Fair Caledonia.
They learned from their elders who told them it was their birthright to abuse and denigrate the Catholic Irish outgroup.
Just like Rangers, those days are gone, and they’re not coming back.

That is the source of the angst that tortures and torments the creators of the Vanguard Bears death wall.
History is leaving them behind.
Glasgow voted in 2014 to leave the United Kingdom.
Béal Feirste is fast approaching the point where there is a Catholic majority in the city.
It is very much a wail of two cities.
Rangers are dead, and Celtic are over the horizon.
The world is changing, and the Ibrox klanbase doesn’t like it.
If they weren’t addicted to racism, I would pity them.

I still fervently hope and believe that the scottish cup will be played to a finish, realistically, this could be achieved over a one week period,if we win,and reach a quadruple treble, fantastic,if we don’t,congrats to whoever does.Quite why so many sevco fans want the competition voided is perhaps a mystery, given the fact they were eliminated,at the hands of the worst side in the SPFL it really shouldn’t be an issue for them,I would go so far as to suggest that, even AFTER going out to hearts they STILL had more chance of winning the cup than they did of catching the champions in the league, far better they dry their eyes, take the medicine and trot along
Andy Halliday giving Stevie G advice on how to halt 10 IAR, wow!
Just add another 3 or 4 Hagi quality signings to the squad, says Andy, and that will be that.
They have just rerenegotiated Hagi’s fee down to a reported £3m pounds payable over 3 years.
A bit part player at Genk who were so desperate to get rid of him and recover the monies they had spent on him that they bit the hand off the first club that came along and happy to shake hands on any deal proposed to them.
Hi Phil, any word on why it’s taking months for Alistair Johnston’s Fit and Proper status to be confirmed by Maxwell and his merry band?
Is it anything to do with him being the widely reported signatory on the Rangers fraudulent UEFA licence application waived through by an ever helpful, unquestioning committee of his peers?
Just asking for a friend who is of the opinion that the SFA by their very silence on the matter is belittling the integrity of a man who has been over the course before when Murray, bless him, was running the show.
Ah, David Murray, still feasting on the succulent lamb fed to the media all those years ago. Who would have thought it?
Police reform was desperately needed in Ulster for decades. The cruel RUC were blatantly sectarian towards the Nationalist community. Likewise, America requires a similar overhaul with their unacceptable policing system.
We had similar things here and 1911 In Dundee sprang to mind from old family myths and storys, Dock workers striking for decent rights and our dear old Wartime PM Winston Churchill pops into the situation again,
He was the feking MP here for long enough under a different Party name again Liberals in this era. He set the Police against the striking Dockers here hard and without remorse after a request for decent worker rights! But he never reckoned with the workers who were more learned than these rats thought . This is where Dundee and a Beloved Radical on both sides of the water joins our story
James Connolly fell in love with a young Protestant girl named Lillie Reynolds. Whether it was for the former or latter reason, James Connolly grew weary of the British Army and deserted when he learned he was to be stationed in India, instead moving with Lillie back to Scotland ater leaving the army James Connolly followed his brother to Dundee, where the latter was already established not only as a labourer but as a member of the Socialist League. From there he moved back to Edinburgh in 1890, by then a fully committed socialist, throwing himself into trade union agitation and socialist organising with the Scottish Socialist Federation. A young, self-taught, working-class intellectual James Connolly was at that time one of the leading figures in a generation that founded the socialist movement in Scotland, and was active in the Independent Labour Party milieu alongside Keir Hardie. He read voraciously, studying history and literature, even managing to teach himself some German and French to read Marxist classics in their original languages.

You cannot divorce law enforcement from the political bodies that oversee them from the lowest level through state up to federal level.
Police reform in NI came about through political reform and wouldn’t have happened without it.
Simply throwing out the odd bad apples and rotten barrels will not deal with systemic failures in the USA.
For the first time in my memory, which to be honest is nae great shakes these days, sevco were NOT mentioned once in the Herald sports section yesterday.
Although the BBC website has a clip of Hagi’s first league goal for sevco. They seem blissfully unaware that it’s his only one to date.
10 in a row will be historic and will usher in a second decade of superiority that will tell the world that there’s only one team in Scotland the mighty Celtic
“Wail of two cities”. Priceless Phil, absolutely priceless. One of your best ever.
What about Derry’s Wails 😉
I think the majority of them are too stupid to “fear the future”.
“…evidence… which is racist.”
Are these VB not The Rangers supporters?
I rest my case! 🙂
I suppose as it’s quiet it’s tempting to engage, but to paraphrase: we shouldn’t really argue with idiots…
Why don’t they take the The Sun to court for telling lies about them . Watch this space as they look for some backup either from the new club at ibrox or even putting some severe pressure on them dafties at club 18to30 . I’m sure they will force their hand due to the monthly dividend of a direct debit of £18.72 , they will probably tell them if they want to keep the payments coming over their way they better start to earn it . Anyway good luck to the Klan if they sue The Sun .
Cannot find pity for any of them, addicted or not, their dated racist outlook has run its course.
One day it may come to pass that their racism fades,I hasten that day but, won’t go holding my breath.
Good read catching up with yesterday’s too.
Thanks Phil, hope your exclusive re.Castore is in the pipeline for all your avid readers.Excellent.

‘herd impunity’. Another phrase I wish I’d thought of. Chapeau.
“Sadly, for them, the triumphs are always in the future.”
So not so much “Tomorrow Belongs To Me”, as “Tomorrow Never Comes”.
Should it not be #JFT96 in their tweet?
Lots of Rangers fans online asking why there club has not responded to Celtic being handed 9 IAR and where’s the consequent promised legal action?
They still don’t get it do they and our media pointedly refuse to spell it out to them.
Their club voted with the other 11 SPFL clubs to terminate the season based on average points per game, Celtic crowned 9 IAR champs and Hearts relegated.
What part of that don’t they get?
The 2nd placed prize money for Rangers will probably cover the 1st Hagi instalment, perhaps?
Rangers and Hearts were part of a unanimous vote to bring the season to a close, end of.
Time for the fan base to wipe the tears from their eyes and accept that their club, despite all the mumbo jumbo around the SPFL vote, voted in favour as did the other 11.
Has anyone at Ibrox challenged this? Of course they didn’t. Instead they spent weeks winding up the fans, talking tough, talking up Season Ticket sales then seemed to throw their fans under a bus by meekly accepting the result of the vote.
They can get the opinions of as many former icons, players, pundits and EBT recipients as they can muster to continue giving the SPFL grief but they cannot get away from the fact that Rangers collapsed when push came to shove, a bit like the team’s collapse since the winter break.
Here we go 10IAR.
They are yesterday’s people and the world is making their culture of hatred obsolete. The have been brought up by this delusion of entitlement and now that they are being exposed for what they truly are is why they can’t hack being left in the annuals
of history. .
As I mentioned to a couple of Rangers fans who are friends of mine, Rangers could have taken the high road.
They could have voted, on principle, against the league being ended. They chose not to.
They could have refused, on principle, to accept the money for second place and returned it to the league. They chose not to.
They then would have been in a position to argue against the SPFL and would have had the moral high ground in arguments against our second 9-in-a-row. They did neither, so by their actions have endorsed Celtic as league champions.
What a lot of bull shit written by the Tim cardboard cut out jokes and big mouths that they can’t keep shut, sum things never change right enough 😂😂😂😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😂😂😂😂
That would be, “some things”. Oh aye, was the comma an attempt at punctuation?
If you’re going to make disparaging comments at least try to write in your queen’s English.
Auld Betty’s a real stickler for that kind of thing.
Why do you think the majority of his post is emojis? It would appear the peepul have found a new language and it saves having to learn things like spelling, grammar and punctuation which zoom right over their nappers, bless them. HH
You were the people. Now? You’re just perennial, “also rans”.
How was it Phil once described you? Oh aye, “The trailer trash of a dead empire!”
All these years later that’s still my favourite description of your miserable band of brothers. Simply because it’s the most accurate I’ve ever heard.
Should you be next door Paddy?
I keep re-reading this, inserting my own punctuation & I still can`t make heads nor tails of it!
Exactly what I’ve been saying for weeks now. They are in complete denial that their own club, despite their mumpings, were part of the unanimous vote.
Their fans are so blinkered, or downright stupid, that they can’t see this.
It’s easier to understand the mentality when you read some of their posts on line.
As in, quote ‘ if we keep recruiting young players and sell them on for good money as Ajax do’ we will continue to be successful!’
Continue to be successful, really? A Petrofac Cup and 10 years without a major trophy, is that their definition of success?
They have a board that has failed the support year after year. McCoist, Warburton then Pedro, the latter hired after a reported impressive online interview with an Ibrox selection panel, some of whom are still on the premises. Wow!
Now we have a novice manager learning his trade who must be fully aware that he’s toast if 10 IAR can’t be halted this season.
L😂L at that quote Joe,brilliant.I think their no Aw daft, but there’s a high % of the rest that are THICKASPIGSHIT and as such it seems that extracurricular would’ve done them no harm.
I rarely visit those pages as there’s more than enough nonsense going on in my own head and I cannot see adding to it would be in any way beneficial.
But the vast majority do regularly(every home, unless UEFA are watch/listening in/on) indulge in some banned hate-filled ditties and that’s no lie.Remind me,how many if any,were/have ever been prosecuted for that crime?
I’m guessing less than 100 to date, yet it is heard clearly everywhere that match is showing live all over the World, maybe Scotland’s finest develop selective hearing difficulties due to the atmosphere in Ibrox, which is usually toxic.
Unlike Our Fortress @Celtic Park in being named in the top 5 best atmospheres in Stadia from All over the World,by a French Sports mag, maybe L’Equipe,no sure.
Noo that’s another achievement they’ll never attain✅
HH🍀 Be Safe Out There Our Celtic Family and as Always, laughing regularly IS essential and very beneficial for yourself and the loved ones around 💚🤍💛☯️
Thanks Phil🇮🇪
I’m hoping he’ll be gone for Xmas, with the league cup already safely tucked away newly polished and placed along side many more within CP trophy room.
Leaving the Scottish Cup and the SPL league title hopefully nearly a foregone conclusion,he could well last till end of January as there’s Scottish cup dates in first half of January,But,sadly Covid 19 is going to be a considerable factor in rescheduling, crowds safety measures etc etc
Like everyone else I do want to see Our World return to football, but safety for All is of paramount importance.
TIAR🍀🤞🏼
I’m not religious but I hope ma Da can see it All from his current dimension,he will be OTM and running roon the place buzzing and screaming TAL🇮🇪😇
Thanks Phil, imho,we all look forward to your blogs because CFC🍀 is built into you and your readers too,1 reason is;We simply wouldn’t get it elsewhere(FACT).
We would on the blogs CNN is very good and many excellent contributors.
There’s plenty more reasons too but,I’ve an Export Guinness chilled to perfection to enjoy and it’s screaming it me noo‼️🍺 Slainte 🍺🍺
The league was ended by points per game and Celtic were happy to take the title. Under these circumstances Celtic should also be happy the Scottish cup is concluded under the same rules.
By the same rules/system, Hearts should be given the cup. Surely no Celtic fan could disagree.
Have Hearts won 34 cup games in a row, mate?
Or wasn’t that Celtic too?
It’s a knockout competition and there are no points to be won………………simples! HH
I’d like to see the stats of this claim, if you wouldn’t mind publishing them, but regardless, “The Cup”, as per it’s name, is a knockout competition which is not based on games played, nor are any points achieved as a result of a victory, nor does a 6 – 0 victory beat a 1 -0 victory. If anything all 4 remaining teams should be declared Cup Winners therefore our quadruple treble is achieved.
Sorry, the logic in this is beyond my understanding and obviously your own.
Your Club along with Hearts voted for the League to end, Celtic wanted to finish the league on the park and EXTEND THEIR DOMINANCE. RIFC. .Needed the money badly so I,ll repeat myself THEY voted along with the rest to end it SO that is a matter of FACT. So WHY????? did RIFC not vote against it and WHY???? did THEY ACCEPT 2nd Place Prize Money when There was a chance Motherwell and Aberdeen could have caught them. Dave King, The Close Brothers, JD Sports/Litigation Plus Court Costs, Hummel/Elite, The Memorial Company and the 6 players that were let go will all want their Money very soon and lets just wait and see the Spin Shite that comes From RIFC. YOU LOT really are GULLIBILLIES. OH and the Bullshit about CASTOREY JACKANOREY £3 million a year for 5yrs is £15m not £25m that your mob is spinning to you all and the Bull about selling the Carpark for Flats is True but the project of Building Flats is the Idea of the Close Brothers to Recoup their Loan Money that along with all the Big screens and tannoy Systems ETC that is the Security the Close Brothers were given when the Loan was signed so when the Fans see all this Happening they will believe this will be the New Free WI-FI system going in and the Land being built on as a COUP for RIFC but in Actual fact it most probably be Creditors calling in their Debts. Its time they were Honest and Upfront with the Fans. Instead their Contacts with the press and YOU KNOW who they are tell it how it is and stop Painting the Story as all things Rosey. Remember the Billionaire from Motherwell story The Billionaire from the Middle East Keith Jackson comes to mind. Wake up and Smell the Coffee
