So, we are now in a period of zero matchday revenues for all clubs on Planet Fitba.
It goes with saying that this unforeseen series of events will hit some particularly hard.
So spare a thought for those holding company vehicles who have no cash reserves or access to a credit line from a bank.
Indeed, it is just as well that they will have their commercial and retail income to keep them from going…

Now, a cynic might conclude that a certain engine room subsidiary could have been lobbying the Scottish government recently to allow a certain home game to go ahead this weekend.
Of course, I couldn’t possibly comment.
My information is that the Sevco High Command had planned to sell the TV package of the return leg in Germany.
However, that is also now gone.
In life timing is everything and this shut down isn’t great at all for Sevco.
It would be especially unfortunate if, say, General Ashley pushed now for a court date to finalise the damages bill from the Sevco car boot sale.
I just hope that if he were to succeed in court that he doesn’t push for immediate payment.

The null and void argument will result in even greater chaos. If there is no first then, logically speaking, there is no second, and all the way down the line. If you are Hearts or Hamilton that is certainly appealing. The problem is there is no logical way of assigning CL/Europa places. Are we having a lottery? Alphabetical order? The only alternative would be to declare that no title would be awarded, but that existing placements would decide this issue. That will lead to issues at the CAS. The simple truth is that you can cancel a league 6 matches in, but not 6 matches out. I am pretty certain that Celtic and Liverpool will get their titles.

That imbecile Dodds taking about “legalities” on BBC last night.
Why don’t they all just man up and be brutally honest that they don’t want Celtic to win the league and the only clubs with the audacity to challenge an instant end to the season would be the one in second place and the one at the bottom.
I understand the team at the bottom being very upset, but this situation (short of the outbreak of world war three) is the most severe situation facing the whole planet since the outbreak of World War Two. (If we choose to forget Bosnia and the African famine in the not too distant past)
One would expect that folks would hold their hands up and realise that this is a serious situation and this football season gets put to bed and we concentrate on fighting this virus and protecting the whole of society, not protecting one’s own prejudices, ignorance and lack of reason.
Gary Holt was very good and he echoed the sentiments of Neil Lennon, not that the sensationalist media will seek a non biased (ie Not a Celtic or Sevco perspective) viewpoint to back up Neil Lennon.
We want to play the games and finish it properly to shut the animals in this backwater up and ram 9×2 down their throats and move on to 10. This unprecedented pandemic will probably mean we can’t do it so it absolutely has to be an “as it stands” finish.
I ask this question to the “null and void” brigade, if Sevco were 13 points clear and faced with this situation where the season was to be ended would they want an as it stands or null and void (aside from everyone’s preference to finish it on the pitch)?
What would their answer be?
This season should stop now. The Scottish cup can be dealt with over a two or three week period when/if next season starts.
Euro 2020 should be scrapped, the two European Football cups should be the only competitions deemed null and void.
UEFA must declare all leagues that are over 25% completed already are finished now “as it stands” in order that qualification positions for next years UEFA competitions are known and local prize monies can be distributed now in order to tide some clubs over.
It then gives the whole of society more than half of March, April, May and June to fight this damned thing before we contemplate a return to competitive football.
Foot note* the silence from the Scottish Government is frightening and questions must be asked why on Thursday they thought it wise to allow a 50,000+ crowd to use the transportation system & congregate in pubs and “halls” across Scotland to get to/watch a football match and they were going to allow it again this weekend. That is beyond gross ineptitude. They should be pilloried for that pronouncement.
Stay safe everybody, wash your hands and don’t be selfish. If you have elderly neighbours chap their door and ask if they are ok or need anything? One day you will welcome that chap at the door.
If the worst came to the worst and the leagues were voided this season Celtic would still be going for 9 IAR next season.
Surely if they declare this season null and void, that would result in no Scottish teams playing in the UEFA tournaments next season.
So if the season is declared null and void does all the supporters get their cash back from the games attended . The cost to get to these games what you spent on travel , food , replica shirts for season 19/20 do you get your cash back o this . No way will any league be declared null and void to many consequences for this to happen.

The timing may be bad but the zombie club will overturn the sofas, raid the piggy banks and fleece a charity or two to continue their fight for survival. They’re walking away with nothing this season and all for the price of millions of OPM but the question of whether they can do it all again after the summer break remains to be seen and I wouldn’t bet against them even if it means they give Hector a dizzy. The Klan members on FF are rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of Scottish teams going bust and all because they never supported sevco in their hour of need . These thickos can’t see the bigger picture here their own club is one of the clubs going to the wall the word DENSE does not even come close to describe this lot .
League will have to be either awarded to Celtic or the remaining games be played. The SPFL would be sued from pillar to post. Millions have been spent all over the country with fans travelling thousands of miles. Club sponsors, local board advertisements would all be wanting their money back, not to mention every player for every club has to be paid. Adidas just after signing the biggest partnership deal in Scottish football history. There is no way the SPFL can get out of it. Every club sitting on top of every Scottish divisions will have to declared winners, no relegation for any club sitting bottom and every division playing with extra clubs next season with extra club relegation places.
Basically today has been a beautiful day for Celtic, multi million pound deal done and confirmed 9IAR winners.
Every unplayed game should be down as a nil all draw or even computerised.
They could even get all the retired EBTrs and form a panel similar to the old pools panels who decided the results of iced-off games in the winter. Maybe that way Sevco could win the league.

Sevco screamed all season for VAR even saying that if it was used in the Scottish game they would be sitting top of the league . Now VAR was used last night and it went against now they are screaming it’s not right . I do wish the Klan could make their mind either you want VAR or you don’t.
Even with business interruption insurance as I have just discovered there is of course the clause stating that it does not cover losses due to ‘infectious diseases’
To the best of my knowledge Sevco could NOT sell any TV rights to a game in another stadium. Those belong exclusively to the home club. Other obviously than UEFA’s negotiated deals with BT and such.
Doesn’t mean Sevco wouldn’t try to sell them though.

Seriously though, I do feel for the honest football clubs who will suffer, (with the caveat that – Raith Rovers aside – since 2012 I really don’t know which of the senior clubs are honest.)
So the sevco Klan want this season to be declared nil and void . Really I wonder what their take on it would be if they sat in the position we are in . Would they still be screaming like banshees about it to be nil and void then . I also see they are sticking by a statement from the director/chairman of Albion Rovers who also wants the season declared nil and void no wonder the Klan are fans of this guy .

Surely sense must be seen at the powers that be if the the league was ended without playing the remaining games Celtic should be awarded their 9th title in a row and the Scottish Cup Semis should ge played at the beginning of the new season. Not holding my breath though.

The SC actually takes precedence over the league.
Sevco can’t even raise a couple of quid from a hastily arranged friendly. Including Sunday I think they would have five of their remaining nine fixtures at home. That’s more than 25% of their league gates. If the league stops right now that is one hell of a dent in revenue.
I’ve learned something new. Didn’t realise the SC took precedence over the league. Suppose we’ll have to wait it out and see what unfolds.
If the EPL award the league title to Liverpool, surely the SPFL must follow suit with Celtic being awarded the league title.
The only way to stop any argument is to resume this season whenever possible, even if it finishes in the summer. I’d rather win it than be awarded it. If, worst case scenario, this season is null and void then we dont win the league but we haven’t lost it either. 10 in a row would be delayed by a year, not 10 years as some of the hard of thinking peepul seem to think.
The fans also deserve their day in the sun when they can celebrate the win.
