It would now appear that even the most deluded members of the Ibrox klanbase know that this league campaign is effectively over before the split.
Sadly, at some point, the magic elixir of Unsurpassed Dignity wears off and they realise that it is all over.

Again…
Today in Perth Stevie May put any lingering doubt to bed with his equaliser.
Consequently, most sensible folk are calling time on Sevco’s title challenge as they slipped up in Perth.

Of course, Neil Lennon doesn’t believe that and he will have a forensically blinkered focus on the next match and nothing else.
Mr Let’s Go is probably two defeats away from genuine pressure.
Failure against Braga and Hearts and it gets very interesting.
Of course, this time it was all going to be different.
In the summer the klan and the local media had convinced each other that it was going to come up roses for Sevco.
It was a case study in confirmation bias.

However, instead of a bouquet, it is a funeral wreath for yet another failed title challenge.

As usual, Sevco won the Close Season Cup and the Stenography Corps gushed about how brilliant Gerrard and his men were.
Indeed, if a foreigner had alighted on Planet Fitba and thought that the local media were practising journalism then they would have quite reasonably thought that the team at Ibrox were all-conquering.
However, dear reader, you know the truth.
Clichés become clichés because they have an essential kernel of truth.
It is a fact that the league does not lie.
It is worth recalling the real reason that the Convict Chairman made the offer to Mr Gerrard.
It was at the time when Celtic were brushing Sevco aside with ease.
I think it is fair to say that, at that moment The People were revolting.
At a regular meeting of the Sevco High Command, a very Senior member of the board stated that there could be a serious problem with season ticket renewals.
Mr King waved away those potential problems and said that he would deal with it.
The South African based convicted criminal certainly did just that and the hiring of the Liverpool U18 coach was inspired.
It immediately galvanised the Ibrox klanbase and there was no more mention of any issue with season tickets etc.
However, in the end, Mr Let’s Go has come up against a club across the city that has a substantially larger football budget.
This might have something to do with the fact that Celtic appear to have better players and more of them.
Quite simply, Celtic can comfortably afford to have more players on higher wages.
Indeed, some hold to the controversial view that this confers some sort of sporting advantage.
Faced with that financial reality some of The People realise that they haven’t really got a prayer.

For the remainder of the season, Mr Gerrard will be hoping that he can win the Scottish Cup and make progress in Europe.
At the moment his chaps seem a dispirited and disunited bunch.
Perhaps those dark rumours about difficulties in Dubai are not so fanciful after all.
For the avoidance of doubt, do not expect anyone within the Stenography Corps in Glasgow to try and get to the bottom of what would be a potentially explosive story.
That notwithstanding what is publicly observable are the performance problems that have been extant after the winter break.
Since Sevco have returned from the Gulf there is has been…well… a gulf!
Celtic, on the other hand, used the time in Dubai to great effect.
Batteries were re-charged and a new system was introduced.
You know the rest…
Dear reader, I’m old enough to remember the first time when Celtic won Nine In A Row.
The 16-year-old me didn’t fully appreciate it as my team winning the league had been a constant since I had been first taken to Parkhead by my grandfather.
This one will be savoured by an oul fella in the 60s.
Oh, and I’ve also outlived Rangers and wrote a book about how they died.
Have a good one!

All clubs should get to spend the exact same amount of money on players staff and facilities.
An impossibly absurd idea.
Where are Celtic going to get the kind of money available in the EPL, La Liga or Serie A?
Where are Hamilton going to get the kind of money available to Celtic?
Where are Brechin going to get the kind of money available to Hamilton?
Where are Sevco going to get the overdraft facilities that Brechin probably have?
I remember when the huns stopped us from winning the 10 the first time around. I was leaving Celtic Park with my 14 year old brother after we had lost the league and he was running behind me to keep up when he innocently said to me ” John, John what’s going on, I thought we won the league every year?” LOL.
Deny Way
And now the end is near
And Sevco face the final curtain
My friends, I’ll say it clear
I’ve laughed so much my sides are hurtin’
They thought that we were fooled
With their ‘oor auld club didnae die’ ways
But we all knew the truth of their Big Lie ways.
Debts? They have a few
But then again they never pay them
Their creditors are in a queue
All waiting for some money fae them
They planned each bill they dodged
So they could dae it in a fly way
But even so they’re f*cked in a goodbye way.
Yes there were times I’m sure he knew
Dave King bit off more than he could chew
But through it all when cash ran out
He got the fans to bail him out
He spent f*ck all yet faced them all
That wonky eye way.
They’ve moaned, they’ve whinged and cried
They’ve had their fill of Sevco losing
While fans of other sides
Just find it all so amusing
To think they’re still so crap
In spite of spending all that money
If I were a bigoted chap I’d find that funny.
For what is a hun?
What has he got?
If not a brain?
And he has not!
Is it the sense he truly needs
To see the club he loved is deid?
The record shows he’ll answer ‘No’
It’s the deny way.
Brilliant. Going to download and print that.
dear r st parsley
funny as fuck. while i’m here does anybody know the date of rfc(il) disincorporated …… naw didnae think so
Absolutely brilliant Arsene!
As an ” amateur poet ” myself…I tip my hat to you sir.
Well done.
Brilliant.
DR: Headline “Steven Gerrard’s continual Rangers mistake is the reason ’55’ remains just a dream”
The reality is that 55 will never happen.
And that’s because it CAN’T – they haven’t even got one.
This kind of pish sells papers to delusional cretins who don’t have the neurons to understand that they are being exploited.
Check out any summary of the five stages of grief and you will see they haven’t even got past the first in the list.
This is not something to gloat about, but turning on reality for a moron, although worth trying, will not be easy.
Their kids secretly love CELTIC.
They’ve known nothing but Celtic success.
The silky skills and wonderful goals.
Celtic are your champions. The Imperious Celtic. The Mighty of the Mighty Celtic. The greatest team and club Scotland has ever seen.
A Club so Great they resurrected dead Rangers FC from their shameful cheating grave of tax evasion and EBT cheating, said it was the same club with same titles, defied the press and ordered the SFA and SPL to sort it out with a five way agreement.
Charitable Celtic. Gracious Celtic. Compassionate Celtic.
Sir David Murray and Board (King, Paul Murray, Alastair Johnstone, etc…) murdered Rangers passing it to surrogate Whyte.
The press buried the dead club.
Merciful Celtic brought it back and declared it alive. The Lazarus of football. Celtic pulled UEFA onboard.
They owe it all to their champions Celtic.
Celtic even wanted their resurrected Rangers in the second tier. The greedy SFL Clubs wanted them in the bottom tier for four years of milking the new club.
I know I’m being uncharitable but I really don’t mind keeping them just alive for humiliation purposes. Even allow them a win every now and then to give them hope so we can snatch it away again.
The League Cup is Celtic’s.
The SPFL is Celtic’s.
The Scottish Cup sits in the Celtic Trophy room. Sevco won’t be prying that out of there for IBroken.
They’re out of Europa shortly.
The Pretenders can never achieve the cheated success of the defunct club in liquidation.
Celtic gave them their lie when Jabba and his press told the world they were dead. Celtic resurrected them after the Freemasons had fed on the corpse.
Celtic said Green’s new club was the same old shite and Celtic gave them their history. Celtic took pity and treated them as a charity case. They give us laughs, they bring in money for the other clubs and keep folks in jobs. Their beloved meedja are actually their Duper’s. Jabba keeps their bums on seats with spin and lies. Jabba knows CELTIC gave them their existence.
Nobody cares about them. But we’re all interested in taking their cash. Over and over again. Eight years and they still haven’t woke up.
The bookies make big from them.
Slippy dyes his hair. Even that is fake.
I still love that “Close Season Cup” line …
Aye, I remember the 1st 9-in-a-row as well and, like you, I will savour this one even more. I too like the idea the I have also outlived Rangers. As for book writing, I’ll just leave that to you, Phil. 🙂
An echo of my own thoughts.
Thats 9 IAR bagged. A quadruple treble just a few games away. Kingco and Gerrard have just lost their all in gamble.
Where do they go next? There is no magic money fountain and the 6 months to 31/12/19 will mirror the losses sustained in the previous financial year.
The Europa run will have helped with the forecast cash shortfall but there is still 3/4 months till next seasons ticket money comes in.
Sports Direct is still on the case and the amount due at the moment is unquantifiable but even a small liability could be disastrous.
I’m a Celtic fan. Walk with dignity and act like you have been there before. The slap and laugh against Rangers makes me sick. The Bhoys make the statement on the pitch. When then do, celebrate like Champions and not ignorant novices.
If I was the owner of First Bus I would have my garage staff on alert this evening as Steven Gerrard appears to be running out of buses to throw his team under !

Wee Coco at ibrox noise has the scatter gun out big time tonight . He has left nobody out of his criticism. From the manager the back four the goalkeeper midfielders especially Kent and even his favourite the 100 million quid striker morelos who he now rates at 2 million quid . Oh dear he has just posted his 6th article of the game today he is in meltdown over there . The buckfsst must be getting drank over there by the caseload as well as the funny fags once more . He will defo demanding Slippy G resignation by this time next week this wee guy is ready to explode . I wonder how The Fat Controller will explain this all away this week with his chums in the press. Come to the rescue Kenny BAWBAG McIntyre yer big fat pal Jamesie needs you now more than ever . Even more now than he needed you over the Michael Stewart stitch up .
I mentioned three weeks ago that Gerrard had lost the dressing room.
He habitually trashes the players for his failings.
Today he trashed his defence.
If they survive, I hope he stays. Stevie the habitual failure will be even worse next year.
There’s nothing positive for them to take from any of it.
Thankfully King has gone. King is the only one with the business sense and balls to sack Gerrard. Without King, Sevco will have Gerrard next year again and will fail again.
Agent Stevie supports Celtic.
King has gone nowhere , he is still listed as a Director on Companies House and won’t leave until he has secured a return of his investment . As long as he is a major shareholder in the “company” then he exercises significant control whether he is a named board member or not. King’s association along with his cold shoulder inhibits them to move forward or raise capital . If his recent loan comes with significant terms and conditions that hold the board by the short and curlies then it’s Russian Roulette in the board room. Everyone is queueing up for cash , King-Ashley-Elite-Hummel-Memorial Walls-Close , there is a 10m shortfall, no retail deal for next season and a large transfer account in the red . They have to deal with all this and finish the season without showing a debt to qualify for Europe under FFP . If only they had accepted that 20m from Beijing ………..
I think we should rise above gloating which as Phil says is just a temporary pastime.
We should seek out some form of permanency (that’s English for “Aeterna non Caduca” as people educated in Humanities all know).
Have a good one yourself sir!
Addendums were a chortle,it’s All coming to a head for Dignitas FC,especially enjoying kris voids meltdown from the aftermath @Perth this afternoon.
YES,it certainly has been/is a ’Beautiful Sunday’
Like you Phil,I too was Young first time round, where it was the norm for the Bhoys to win the league, this time it will be savoured that bit more.
Thanks for your slant on it🇮🇪

Something clearly happened in Dubai. Hugh burns would have has excellent sources. Anyone know what it was?
