As we have seen with Translatgate questions are a vital part of effective journalism.
Yesterday I submitted the following to the Scottish Football Association:
Please find attached a report from FANS WITHOUT SCARVES regarding the granting of a UEFA license to Rangers for the season 2011-2012.
This report was compiled by a professional accountant and should be treated with due seriousness.
Here are my questions:
Can you confirm or deny that Celtic FC has passed this report onto the SFA?
Can you confirm or deny if Celtic FC commented on the report’s conclusions?
I look forward to hearing from you on this matter.
The report that I referred to in the email can be read here.
The answers to my questions will shine a light on the attitude not just of the SFA to this matter, but the Celtic board on Resolution 12.
In recent days they have moved swiftly on Translategate to protect the image of the Celtic brand.
The comparison with their dogged inertia on R12 is stark.
If the SFA provides me with a reply it will be published here.

The whole report was released today. Did you ever receive a response?
Totally agree with the questions raised, but why go after this now? Surely we need to stick together at least for the ten, as ivdd Ed said all along, the only thing that will stop Celtic doin 10iar will be Celtic
At the end of the day only a Police Scotland investigation will resolve Res 12.
If someone at Rangers lied on behalf of the club in the UEFA licence application process for financial gain for the club then a fraudulent action has taken place.
That is a criminal offence and one which the courts take a dim view of.
There is no time limit on prosecution.
As I have stated on here for years now, the only way this will ever get acted on is if court action is taken by the Shareholders.
Phil, this pursuit of SFA, Celtic etc is akin to a dog chasing its tail. Much water has been passed since Res 12 reared its ugly head. For all concerned, attempting an honest examination, Russian roulette would be more palettable.
Don’t you hold your breath waiting for that reply Phil. It’ll be a long time coming- a bit like CFC’s pursuit of Res.12
Phil I feel these are good questions but ones that will never be answered. The sfa or celtic will not be obliged to reply. Let’s hope more can be done to force the issue
