I’m told that Mr Let’s Go is seriously unimpressed by Translategate.
According to a very well-placed source, there was a rather tense exchange after the Tuesday presser.

The Liverpool legend made it quite clear to the Serious Professional and the current Director of Fantasy that they should all be on the same page.
By that, he meant he was in front of the cameras defending Alfredo based on the discredited translation.
Not long after that media duty was completed Celtic issued their statement.
Then Sky took the interview down across all of their platforms.
Ouch!
On that matter, I’m told that there is a major probe ongoing in Sky about how this work experience effort ended up running across the bottom of the screen as Alfredo was speaking.
My information is that some very heavy hitters from Comcast are now involved.
Personally, I find it hard to believe that this could all be down to the fact that a high-Level translation as handed to a Sky Sports producer.
Moreover, I’m sure that said production fellow never ever worked for the basket of assets.
No, I just don’t believe that one at all!
I understand that apart from their public statement on the matter that a very firm missive was sent by the Parkhead to the media giant.
Moreover, I would not be surprised if legal action is being considered by the folk at Celtic.
That would certainly explain the calibre of people being deployed by Comcast on this one.
No doubt the cancellation of subscriptions since Monday has focussed some minds at Sky.
Senior people at Parkhead believe that the Morelos interview translation had the potential to damage the Celtic brand if it had gone unchallenged.
It is instructive how quickly and how forcefully they moved compared with their inertia over the Resolution 12 case.
Addendum
And as if by magic…

“We have identified inaccuracies in the translation of Sky Sports News’ interview with Alfredo Morelos. We apologise to both Celtic and Rangers football clubs as well as Alfredo Morelos for the issues caused by these errors.
“After numerous steps undertaken by Sky to verify the interview thoroughly we can be clear that at no point did Morelos allege that any racial abuse was directed at him by Celtic supporters in the interview. We apologise to the supporters of Celtic Football Club for this serious error.”
You can read the full grovelling apology here.
Those guys from Comcast certainly don’t mess around…
I do find it rather amusing that the producer person at Sky who was directly involved in this shitshow has some lofty ambitions.
According to my information, he covets the role at Sevco currently held by a certain inter-galactic PR guru.
Oh dear…

I see Stevie G is also unimpressed by the state of the Ibrox pitch. Bear in mind so far we have had the least severe winter in a number of years.
“Bear” and “Mind” in the same sentence. Wow……that won’t happen often.
I now understand why the Scottish economy has been pish, the Scottish finance and economy secretary, university drop out, Derek MacKay was spending his time sending hundreds of disgraceful messages to a 16yo boy. The head of the scottish Conservatives has described it as grooming. I agree.
Once again SNP standards in public life are a national disgrace.
Other issues reported this last week were:
1. Homeless Scots twice as likely to die on streets than elsewhere in uk.
2. Fergusson Marine investigation blames the snp government for the debacle.
3. Classroom education in schools under full review as it is failing pupils.
4. Care system for vulnerable children failing them.
5. Scottish government drug deaths response is ‘fiddling while Rome burns’
Add those to the other 40 issues from the last several months. Rank amateurs running the country, they make the SFA look like benchmarked world class football administrators.
As the Chewin’ the Father characters Bish and Bosh would say… ” you’ve took that too far!”. 😆
Aye and Westminster is doing such a fantastic job, you and your Tory pals just love talking Scotland down.
This still doesn’t sit right….Someone gave them the script, surely they can’t get away with this bull about their production dept, someone had to think this up and then make a deliberate calculated decision to go ‘live’ with it in the report…not an error, not a mistake but a premeditated action to damage the Celtic FC, fans and shareholders. Celtic shouldn’t let it go and they should also be after the other outlets who were happy to peddle the lie without verifying the translation…the BBC were planning to do a hatchet job on Celtic on Monday night before Michael Stewart stood up for INTEGRITY and, unfortunately, the most unbiased TV pundit we have seen ever, is being punished for it at the behest of those behind the attack against Celtic.
How Sky could think this could go unchallenged is beyond belief and no doubt any future translations will be truly reflected in English sub titles which have been scrutinised by someone without an agenda.
Perhaps the Scottish media could learn a lesson or two from this Sky shambles to ensure that in future no more headlines like ‘Motherwell billionaire with wealth off the radar’ are punted to their readership without an ounce of evidence to back up the claim. In fact in Whyte’s case there already was prima facie evidence that the headline couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Of course this sort of journalism is likely to get you an award in Scotland rather than being laughed out of town for taking the pish.
Sky are about to get their arses handed to them in a sling, since celtic have now written to OFCOM. Isleworth is about to have a 100 megaton bomb dropped on them by the regulator, you can be sure of that!
Someone is leaving ibrox in the next few days. Now its a choice between Traynor and Slippy who is looling more vulnerable the more this translation brown stuff continues and it will . Not good for Gerrard and his image to be out trying to defend this as well as the bad results . Someone will be saying goodbye in the coming days take your pick .
I work in television the director directed an then it when on to the PRODUCTION who clear it ok
Sky apologise to Morelos, Celtic and Rangers.
Watch Scott Allen carefully tonight as a top Hibs player. I expect lots from him and for him to really shine out.
Words fail.

Gerrard said it was embarrassing to have to talk about racism …….
Wonder how he thinks of talking about fake racism ?
Show Racism The Red Card should be made aware of this, as it will demean genuine cases.
What about anti catholic racism, Stevo?
